For those of you who like a short story:

I took my boys out hunting today ...

My older boy shot a 100 - 125 lbs sow. Shot was 80 - 90 yards with a Badger .40 on helium shooting 220 grain at 606 FPE.

The younger boy shot a 150 lbs boar with the Winchester .45 shooting about 200 FPE. It was an ear shot at about 40 - 50 yards, DRT.

They were about 150 on the boar & 100 on the sow.

Great to see you taking the boys out hunting. My 9 yo grandson got his first deer this year, but it was with a .357 leveraction Marlin.

@ancientsword Great photos. I really like the one of the young men pulling the carcass out together. You preserved a great memory there!! Brings back old memories. Sounds like your boys can shoot too.
