In fact I had been facing the problem with my FX Royale 400. Its trigger if pulled all the way to 1st stage would stick there and will not come back until I push it back with my finger.
I have read a lot of complaints about this matter. I talked to FX Sweden and they advised to adjust the 2nd stage screw and tight it a bit. I did it but now the trigger was a bit harder than my liking.
I went on thinking. I conceived a few options to resolve it. A bit of re-greasing also helped but the matter was not resolved 100%.
I wanted to find out a way which not only I could apply but any one else with a very little technical knowledge could apply. This must be an out of the box solution. Easy and reversible.
What I did is that I placed a tiny spring on the upper side of the 1st stage adjustment screw. I kept it at a tilt angle so that it could be seated on the wood stock.
Now this additional spring which you can see in the pics pushes back the trigger a bit. We just need as little hardness in this additional spring which could just push it back when the OEM spring fails to push the trigger back from the 1st stage.
I never wanted to alter the OEM spring as that spring engages the sear. Any modification in that spring could make the gun unsafe. It could auto fire and the sear could wear out too quickly.
So this is my out of the box solution which I share with all of you so that any one who has similar problem could resolve it oneself.
I am also going to talk to Mr. Fredrick of FX if he could do similar arrangement in all fx guns which come with similar trigger.
Now I am able to keep the 2nd stage very light and every time I pull the trigger all the way of 1st stage and leave it, it goes back.
I hope this will help.
