Probly old news buried somewhere in the past thousands of posts but thought I would bring it up again just as well.
I need to let people know that FX changed the set/grub screw to a larger size in the newish Impact slug power kit. The new set screw and loading block are NOT included in the kit. This kit will NOT fit the Gen1 guns without modifications. The reloading block will need replaced with possibly a Gen2? Anyway it is #B10 on the old Gen1 diagram. To make it werq with the Gen1 block the holes will need to be drilled and tapped to a larger size and fit to the new probe included with the kit. I will probly install the kit at a later date due to the fact I need to drill and tap the loading block and alter the probes. NOT probes do not need altered. :^)
FX did a good thing with this change as my original set screw is showing signs of wear, it is bent and threads are damaged. Actually looks like it is getting ready to shear off so this upgrade needed to be done. I normally shoot the Impact at near 75 fpe and it took many thousands of rounds to get to this point.
Those with the Gen1 guns with the original loading blocks and probes/feeding pins, shooting at higher power levels, may want to think seriously about doing this upgrade and replacing or drilling and tapping their B10 reloading block and adding a larger screw for safety reasons.
