Kral Puncher Jumbo .22 upgrades

Hi friends, here from Chile again. I finally decided and bought the kral puncher jumbo in .22, it´s a very good looking gun (a bit heavy, but gorgeous) and now i´m trying to decide which mods/upgrade should be done on the gun and which accesories to put on it.

I know that troy is the real authority on this, but i´m from Chile, so is not possible to send it to him to do some upgrades.

I´m thinking in maybe 3 things right now: Lothar walther barrel, something to quiet the action (i have a supressor, but its not good enough), and some trigger improvement (i havent adjust the trigger, maybe doing so is sufficient)

I will be much like to have your opinion on this, is it really worth it the lothar walther ? how have you silenced down the action and what have you done about the trigger ? any other mods you would do ? something to the stock maybe ? now Im shooting it at 3/4 of the power wheel for the shot count, maybe something to be done about it to have some more power without decreasing that much the shot count ?

Right now i have a Discovery VT-T6-24x50 FFP scope, an atlas bipod and a 9 liters scuba tank and I´m shooting jsb 18.13 grains. What else would you buy for this beast ?

I would also like to know if someone has shoot slugs from this gun without modifying it ?

Thanks !

I have a Kral PB in .22 also modified from Troy, it shoots the Varmint Knocker 22.5gr slugs very nice at 960fps right now. I don't know if it will shoot slugs that well with out adding a bit of power though. The valve work is key, you may be able do the porting yourself but that is critical as well. You could probably figure out the dual hammer spring. It's a great gun for sure but I think you'll spend a lot more money trying to get the power up than if you just have it sent directly to Troy - you can buy from Pyramidair and have it sent to him directly then pay him the difference.

and how good is the shot count on that ?

I have a kral PB and im from mexico.

Now what ive done to mine in regards to porting is openend the valve, barrel and transfer ports to 3/16 just go really slow as for the trigger i just sanded it out to a mirror finish with some turtle wax and a dremel tool its sooo much smoother now at around the 1 pound weight mark.

All mods that are able to be done with just a few tools and some patience.

Ps. My rifle shoots sub half inch groups with jsb 15.89 gr at 50 mtrs at 870 fps

Someone might mention for newbies that it may not be the wisest idea to even try dealing with troy hammer?

" silence the action of the valve "

Seems you want a " de-pinger" basicly anything inside the air tube in front of the valve to break up the extreme sonic wave made during firing. Some in the past have just folded some think plastic tuing & shoved it in there ( personally dont recommend this) a plastic cylinder like an old film canister or similar to common plastic baffles. So maybe a tight fitting plastic slug with an oring - the air moment inside the tube will push it around if not SNUG - and a rather small hole in it is a "de-pinger".
