My Question: As I have shared with you thatI have worked one some UK made Theoben guns including MFR, I want to know your experience about durability of those old Theoben guns and these new RAW guns. To me a few things in RAW appeared to be delicate. Specially the adjustment mechanism of pellet probe. Further the RAW website says that specific size of Allen key is sent with the guns but no such Allen key has been found in the package of my both HM1000X .25. I would suggest you to develop a document giving step by step procedure of stripping RAW guns and then their reassembly. In fact a lot of users from outside US can’t send the gun for service and such document may be very helpful.
Reply: Those keys are no longer supplied as they are not needed, what they fitted has been engineered out and no longer present in the rifle.
My Question: Thank you Martin, I was arranging the Allen key. So I don’t need it. How to adjust the tension of pellet probe if at some point of time puff comes from it? In UK made Theoben there had been an adjuster screw from the back side. What adjustment mechanism is in RAW?
Reply: Probes are set at the factory, unless you change caliber or barrels there would be no need to change anything else, if you were changing barrels then a new probe would need to be set for that barrel. Please see leaflet enclosed. Please note even the screws no longer exist for the small hex key.
My Question: The tiny screws are there on opposite sides of probes in both my guns
Reply: Yes, I remembered after sending my last e mail, your rifles were built late last year, but everything was still bonded up so you would not be able to adjust.
I still need to know the complete procedure of replacing probes in RAW HM series.
