Interesting and seems like a very good price. Did I read about an issue with the base compressor of this unit having problems on 4 stage versions that led to a change back to 3 stages for one of the builders? Maybe this was related to the Daystate which I believe uses the same basic compressor? Hopefully more knowledgeable folks will contribute here as this is seemingly a very good deal.

The 4 stage problem was with the first Daystate LC-110, not the MCH6. It's been around for many years with no major redesign. I'm not a gasoline powered compressor fan but if I was this is an excellent deal. It suggests they are either overstocked on this model or a new model is coming from Coltri requiring existing inventory to be sold at a discount price.

Good to know. Personally, electric models seem possibly a bit more convenient in those cases where acceptable voltage is available. I'd rather have gasoline because it isn't tied to a certain outlet voltage or location. But gasoline versions could have their own issues.

I’ve been using a Nuvair/Coltri MCH-6 for a few years. Started with a gas powered unit and now have this electric unit with auto stop and auto condensation discharge. Been very happy with it. These unit are designed to fill scuba tanks so the air is dry and clean. It’s easy to serve and parts are available if needed.

Thanks. They certainly seem like very nice compressors. Why did you switch from gas to electric power? Any specific reasons for one over the other for your use?

I switched to an electric unit mainly didn’t want to have to fill my tanks outdoors anymore
. The electric is only just a little slower and able to add the auto condensation discharge circuits which was not available on the gas powered unit. Upvote 0
Good to consider. Still no auto condensation discharge as far as you know? That would seem to be something I'd want but not absolutely necessary with the apparent speed of these units.

I realized that the auto condensation discharge is not necessary now I been using it for little over 64 hours total. since it takes about 10 minutes or less to fill my tank from 3000 psi. It would be more useful for people filling from an empty tank. The auto stop is more useful and it available of both gas and electric powered.

I ordered the gas version last week, looking forward to it. I also posted a "high pressure compressor on sale" but didn't get the response, guess I should have put MCH6 in the title.

Nuvair. Call them and get a quote for one configured the way that you want. A standard paintball/airgun configuration will be about $2500.
