Recommend a PCP on a budget.

Kind of a pseudo PCP to investigate might be the Air Venturi Seneca Aspen. No pump to buy, multi-shot side-lever with built in pump. $300 and you can get it in .22 or .25 caliber (you might want .25 caliber if you want the added power for groundhogs and/or raccoons). DonnyFL makes a silencer adapter for it, which is a plus. Downside for you is that It is also made in China, alongside the Avenger and Nova Liberty.

Just wanted to chime in to say that just because something can be pumped to X PSI doesn't mean it has to be or is only useable at that level. So 3000 PSI is still 3000 PSI even if your gun goes to 4500. You may well shoot very well at that pressure. In fact I often see more in-depth reviews mentioning what PSI a gun performs at per accuracy level ... and it's usually under the top PSI you can pump it to. Often well under. Even the manufacturer sometimes recommends not pumping it to its maximum. So judging a gun by a PSI you may never fill it to isn't the only metric, or at least not likely a determinative one.

I must add I do own the Seneca Aspen and a few of the Nova Freedoms as well as couple of Nova Libertys and they have a finite number of shots before they can and eventually will fail.

Back The power down to the lowest acceptable shooting level to prolong life.

Know you are buying a gun that's not really meant to last long.

The current Avenger has the same weak link...

The higher the power the shorter the life expectancy as-is.

Hopefully a gen2 has an improved valve and seat for Much longer life expectancy.

I will just wait for that one...

Hatsan AT-44 long .25

Was one of my first PCP airguns and still shoot it religiously even with quite a collection of "higher end" shooters...

Powerful, easily adjustable trigger, fairly quiet, 3k fill pressure, decent shot count and shot string....

I have taken more squirrels and rabbits than I can count with mine and the only upgrade I did was install a Huma regulator to make it a bit more efficient....

Can be had for a few hundred bucks or so refurbished or on sale...
