I was asked to try and shoot an MOA video at 190 yards…I laughed to myself, that’s pretty much impossible.
I dread the IT aspect of it. So I download to Vimeo. I believe the link below will work for anyone.
The target you’re looking at is the one in the video. 190 yards, DayState RedWolf, NSA 15 grain.
I went with the 177, because the recoil is so much less than the 22. It would’ve been much easier to shoot a small group with the 22. I shot six groups tonight. This was by far the best. I don’t mind the flyer. Especially, when I shoot extra shots and they go right into the group. Six shots in under MOA. Plus One “flyer”.
Shooting with this video methodology is much harder. Follow through is much more difficult. And it’s no fun. I can’t hold the rifle. I wouldn’t be able to see the phone. So I sit behind it.
I was extremely thrilled to capture this group on video (mostly because now I can check that box). It was the sixth group of six tries. You can see it’s getting dark. The quality is not great, but you can see the impacts. I find it hilarious that the first shot, hit a half inch square dead center at 190 yards.
I was lucky to get this group on video. It does give you a view of what it’s like to shoot this rifle.

Be sure to expand the video so it covers your phone or computer. Or you will not be able to see the impacts. Keep in mind it’s a scope set at 60x, it’s dusk, And my iPhone is fully zoomed. But you can see the shots.
