I've been getting my WARP and Taipan setup for spring when the ground squirrels come out. Wanted to test holdovers out to 150yds and confirm there trajectory. So while at it I wanted to try out the NUAH challenge. Cold damp morning today about 38* and a very heavy dew but seemed to be DEAD CALM. Targets setup at 102 yds lasered. Both off bipod with towel under the butt stocks. Shot prone in back of pickup.

FWIW, in over 30 years of seriously testing over 400 airguns, and more recently searching for an air rifle that could average sub-1" c-t-c five-shot groups at 100 yards with diabolo pellets over the course of at least 5 consecutive five-shot groups, I've yet to find one that can. The best such (demanding) accuracy-testing sessions have achieved 1.12" to 1.25" averages with a .22 Sumatra and .25 Kalibrgun Cricket, though individual groups sometimes go into around 3/4" c-t-c.

Suffice to say that in ANY amount of wind condition my .25 Cricket producing 915 FPS / 63 foot-pounds with 34 grain JSBs consistently stays under 1.5" average, whereas a 30 foot pound .22 that can shoot with the .25 Cricket in still conditions will almost always post 1.5" + averages in any perceptible wind conditions.

As they say in performance-car circles, "there's no replacement for displacement" (horsepower). 'Tis especially so shooting for accuracy in wind conditions with pellet guns.

Thanks centercut! I know tour a great long range shooter and yeah the .22 isn't easy but these Taipans make it seem easy! In calm winds that is.

Thanks chohan! Yeah those are the only 2 that were on my radar but for the price I couldn't see myself justifying the Edgun.

The scope I got about the same time I got the gun a few weeks ago. It's a great scope in all honesty. Im a big SWFA and have a 10x42 on my WARP but for the price of $160 its hard to say if I'd buy another SWFA. Very clear scope and I love the reticle on it. It's bigger and heavier than the SWFA and the side focus is pretty stiff but honestly a very solid scope. Now I'm not 100% sure what the HD means on it cause they have ED scopes also, but I find it super clear for the price.
