Hi Guys,
It has been discussed numerous times that the trigger on these guns leaves something to be desired compared to the competitive offerings. Some decent home made fixes and the Rowan trigger have tried to address these issues with various levels of subjective success. Some guys are not much of a do it yourself type other didn't see much of difference with the Rowan design over the factory design (spacing of the engagement screws).
Another option has hit the scene and it is pretty slick. Tony Leach (Airguntech) from the UK has developed a LGU trigger with improved geometry in all areas and it delivers. Tony is famous for his lost volume skirtless piston designs (22mm for TX200, etc) and is an all around master of improving airgun shot cycle and efficiency. The pictures below show how this trigger is set up inside the LGU housing, its relationship with the sear and its shape compared to the factory unit. In my opinion this gets you to a Rekord type trigger feel. The only drawback is that it eliminates the safety engagement. The safety will reset but the gun will fire when the trigger is pulled. If you can deal with this then you will be impressed. First and second stage are fully adjustable. Trigger blade is long and is of the set back shape. It is made of Aluminum and solid. Enjoy another target grade trigger option for your LGU/LGV.
NOTE: You may have noticed I do not have the factory guide extending from the trigger housing. I cut this flush to the housing and installed a Vortek PG2 HW77 25mm kit. I also opened up my transfer port to 3.5mm to improve the shot cycle and eliminate piston bounce.
Regards,
DT
