I'm a retired, Aerospace, Mechanical Test Engineer in my last company, with several, previous years in Mechanical Design in other Aerospace companies.

I've built cars from the (flat) table up, Owned my own race cars (2) (NOT converted street cars) over the years. Worked as a team member on an NHRA divisional, "Competition Eliminator", race car.
Helped build and tune race motorcycles.

And yeah, have gotten into, and am learning about high end air guns.
