I originally purchased this Beeman R9 from Mike Melick/Flying Dragon Air Rifles in summer of 2020 and quickly thereafter purchased the Williams FP-AG peep to replace the *excellent* Weihrauch adjustable rear sights to set the rig up as my open-sights backyard plinker. It has a lively, snappy shot cycle and sends H&N FTTs 8.64gr downrange with authority at 840fps for 13.5FPE.

At 25m, I'm hitting 1" inch spinners all day long standing unsupported. Scoped, it will be a deadly and accurate hunter for all your typical .177 and .22 airgun quarry out to 50yds with ease. A respectable number of squirrel, pigeon and rabbit have met their maker thanks to a pellet out of this classic rifle in my hands. I'd describe the cocking stroke as reassuringly firm and smooth at approximately 35lbs. My only reason for moving it on: I've a HW35E coming in this week which will become my preferred break-barrel hunter for the foreseeable future. 

I'll also entertain trades for Weihrauch, AA, Walther and other classic springers. In particular, the Walther LGV Master Pro, HW77K or HW50S.

Here she is, one of the nicest PCP rifles on the market today - Daystate Red Wolf Safari High Power .25 caliber. I will try and make this post as detailed as possible to answer any of the normal questions. 



I bough this rifle from AOA in December 2019. It has been absolutely babied and cared for with the utmost regard ever since day one. It has never been used in true "field conditions" and only used to punch paper and clear rabbits and small game from the backyard. It is legitimately in flawless condition, not a single scratch, dent or defect anywhere on the gun. I never keep any record of shot count because it makes no difference to me, but if I had to estimate, I would say it was fired under 3,000 times.... not a whole lot. When I purchased the rifle, I inquired about getting the "ART" tune and was told this rifle was accurate enough from the factory and I would see no benefit. I am not a group shooter by any means and can easily put 10 rounds into a dime sized group at 50 yards. In preparation to sell it, I replaced the breech o-ring and put 40 rounds through it on paper at 65 yards - the furthest I can shoot at the moment. That target is posted below. For those wondering why I am selling this rifle, its just life changes.... three young kids and a recent move to a different state has rearranged my priorities for near future and I just don't shoot this enough to have it sit in a gun safe. 

The rifle is topped with a Sightron S-Tac 4-20x50mm FFP Scope and Sportsmatch 30mm rings. The model of the scope is SKU: 26016 - S-TAC4-20X50FFPZSIRMH. This has been my "go to" air rifle scope ever since it came out - excellent glass, repeatable adjustments, zero stop, and first focal plane reticle.

I went with a Uragan then this. What I wanted was a short light high shot count air gun. I got the high shot count with the Uragan but not the "light". I got the light but not the high shot count with this current Mk III. I am going to try again. So here is my Mk III in nearly new condition. It will come with the FX by Donny silencer and one magazine in the FX hard case. I do not have a chrono so I do not know what it is chronographing. I got the gun and the scope and rings and then the Mk III came out. I bought this gun on this site used. This is the compact version. I will pay shipping east of the Mississippi River but you will have to add $50 if you are west of that river and no sales to AK or HI. I have a very lightly used Vulcan 3 for sale. Bought from Tony @ Talon Tunes in January. It’s a long story but I’m back into burning powder so SOMETHING has to go, to be able to play!  

I’ve run a box of slugs through it, maybe a box plus 20. I only run slugs through all of my guns so I have no idea how this thing runs pellets. It does have a slight creaking sound when you lay your cheek on the rest, due to millimeters of travel, between the stock and the frame of the gun. I could have slid a slither of paper in between the frame and the stock, to stop this but it didn’t bother me. Just thought I’d mention it since I want to be completely transparent with these things.
