Bought this about 2 weeks ago from Tom at Tomcat airguns. 

Truly an awesome airgun scope! The turret system is awesome. Its geared for a 3 to 1 rotation with the option of swapping out rings for different tunes or projectiles. 

I do a lot of bench shooting at 100 yards and find that 18x isn't quite sufficient for that. 

But for a hunting scope I really dont think it could be beat. It goes down all the way to 3x which i found to be really nice for hunting or quick shooting at close distances. 

The gun will come with 3 extra turret rings and the scope. 

I dont have the original box or a sunshade.

Allen machined a Daystate rifle barrel to fit, fabricated the scope base, and confirmed the power is souped up to the highest reasonable level on this beautiful Tau MK 08 regulated side-lever ten-meter pistol. Here's the chronograph testing- 

8.4 grain JSB Exact, 3300 PSI charge, 48 shot power-band- Low= 670, Hi= 687, ES= 17, SD= 1.7, Avg= 678 FPS/8.6 Foot Pounds.

My best accuracy-testing session of five consecutive five-shot groups at the field target maximum range of 35 yards produced an average of .40" center-to-center with 8.4 grain JSBs (the best five-shot group measured just .17" c-t-c). Here's a 25 yard five-shot group that measured .16" c-t-c. 

 

Unlike other ten-meter pistols, the Tau's side-lever mechanism allows for very low mounting of a scope (as I prefer). I won the only pistol FT match I contested with this lovely thing, and my squad-mate (Leo Duran) took second place even though he'd never shot the gun.

It comes with the AZ scope base, a foster fitted fill adapter, original front and rear sights (though the front sight won't fit the fat Daystate barrel), and two chamber tubes that have pressure gauges on the muzzle end. One chamber tube holds air indefinitely. The other tube leaks down over the course of weeks, but is otherwise fine and functional. I'll keep the scope and rings pictured.



The barrel has some faint cosmetic mottling, but otherwise the gun is pristine, functionally perfect, and shoots like a house a'fire!

I am probably going to regret this but I am putting my beloved .22 Brocock XR (standard length barrel) up for sale to fund another project. Not a mark on it. Awesome trigger, over 110 shots per fill and crazy accurate. I’ve taken well over 1000 birds and some past 100 yards plus lots of tree rats too. It’s tuned for 18’s and comes with all original paperwork, 1 mag, a single shot tray and a couple extra breech O-rings. This is the same P-Rod from here that I purchased as a project gun to make into a hunting carbine. I went through the gun, cleaning, etc. The gun comes with everything you see (minus case in background) and will be shipped in a soft gun case. The double tube kit is no longer manufacturered. The barrel has a tensioned carbon fiber sleeve and the original shroud but was milled to accommodate the sleeve. The tanto moderator has a lip milled as well and the two center the sleeve on the barrel. The barrel is a custom 17.5" Lothar Walther with crown. The bipod rail is attached with Magpul hardware and had to be modified to sit flush within the wood fore stock. The bipod is included. The Luth AR stock is attached by a R.A.I adapter. The WestHunter 6-24x50 FFP is included.

The carbine currently shoots @ 770fps with H&N 18s but like I said, I have not tuned it since rebuilding. The front double tube brace needs 2 setscrews and was modified so that the original fill port cover would fit. The carbine is not sighted in not tuned and will require both to be a carbine sniper. 3 magazines are included and fit snug. The action is smooth. Someone with more time than me can make this a serious airgun.
