HW/Weihrauch  It’s hot and I’m not talking the weather

Having a Java with the wife, I hear a knock at the door. UPS, I put the box against the wall and proceeded to my coffee, wondering what the wife bought. 1/2 hour later I go open the box it and took about a NY second it was my 50. 125 yr. Ann.

This is right out of the box. )
IMG_9289.jpeg
Can’t believe it came so quick. I’m stoked. Originally I ordered the .177 cal. later switched it to .22 cal.
IMG_9284.jpeg
Jacking this 50 is tight and solid, no rattling, gulling and once I zeroed this honey, she was accurate. I didn’t crony, but will, it sounded like a strong hit.
IMG_9283.jpeg
Here she is getting getting adjustments.
IMG_9290.jpeg
And finally on the rest.
IMG_9291.jpeg
I’m really pleased with the accuracy I already achieved with this rifle. Crow

As new (mounted and used once).

Not a lot to say about it other than I loved it, made a few videos with it, but ultimately I won't be hunting evening critters (I have a wife 😉) so I'm gonna let this go and stick with red dot's and what not.

I waited months to get this - you'll wait a few days at most. I'm including USPS Priority Mail Shipping, Insured.

Will accept $650 lowest price (It's listed for $100 more on eBay) - payable via CashApp, PayPal or Bitcoin. No checks or money orders, sorry. (they are $700 on the Arken site and don't fulfill immediately).

First come, first served, folks. Feedback should speak for my reliability.

Mark

The chat system on airgundepot/pyramid websites MIGHT be compromised.

Before I dive in - I’m going to answer the questions you will have from reading the title
- this is not the website’s fault
- Scammers are monsters and will try to get you to click a ‘verification link’
- after being pushed to transform into a Karen, I did inform the website. But if some one else closer is on here, I hope you can help too as the services are usually outsourced to a vendor.

TLDR: verify who you are chatting with if you are using a chat service on either website as they may be compromised with bad actors.

Here is the light weight summary:

My JTS air compressor likely went through a burst disc. It was the second time I’ve used it.
No biggie, technology is allergic to me, I figured I would deal with it later.

I went to shoot my air Venturi avenge x and the magazine got lodged.
Got it unstuck but the action wouldn’t close. 1 very deformed pellet came out and a part of a second one followed.
I couldn’t clear the barrel.

I bought both from airgundepot less than a month ago.

So I hopped on airgundepot.com to try and chat with one of their people. They have been super helpful in the past.

I logged in and clicked around and the chat box finally popped up. There was a picture and a name associated with it, which is what I vaguely remembered.

Chatted and said I needed help understanding if I did in fact blow a burst disc and help getting the broken pellet out of the barrel.

The guy asked me to click a verification link to see my order history. I refused since that was irrelevant. I just needed tech type answers.

He told me to return the unit and that I would have to pay to return it. He gave me a link to print a label. I tried to print this label and nothing would print. It was blank. Then I got the cut off of the top of a usps shipping label ONLY.

He then told me it was because I had to pay 129.99 to return it and that’s why it wouldn’t print.

I said I just want to clear the barrel. It can’t be that hard. He told me it was ruined. I ruined it. I said it was warrantied through Air Venturi and asked to get their contact info.

He said they were a Chinese company and would never answer.

He told me no returns without fees were accepted through airgundepot and a warranty return would only go through air Venturi but “good luck talking to any one”.
He told me I could return and *replace* to airgundepot, but I would have to pay a restocking fee.

He said if I went that route the label would be cheaper.

To make it very clear, he told me this incident was my fault since I bought low quality garbage. Then told me to click another link to see his suggestions for a replacement.
It was horrible at that point, I stopped chatting.

I finally found a number for air Venturi. By this time, I was furious.
Air Venturi called me back today.
Low and behold they are local to Ohio and It wasn’t an VOIP number.

After we both came to an understanding of the drama I had already been through, we realized something was fishy.

I work in tech and have proximity to AI chat bot and live support services.

They get compromised from time to time.

I saved one link and looked at it today. It is a verification vendor that directs to an old comcast id verification service that hasn’t been used in a few years but apparently still active.

When I first saw the link, I brushed it off as “oh I have Comcast, so it isn’t weird”
Let me be clear. It was weird.

Turns out, comcast used to use this service until one data breach and shoddy end of life service later, they abandoned it. But somehow it’s still relevant and in a good enough state to scam people.
They actually perform a soft credit check with this service. They ask for your address and full social with it. Thank god I didn’t verify but it was so easy to have been duped in my emotional state.

Airgundepot pyramid and air Venturi are all aware and the REAL representatives have been AMAZING.

Just be careful. These scammers are getting far too clever and I have a feeling there will be many more chat service scams in our near future!

N/A  Almost silent PCP

Hi Friends,

So I have recently moved to the Seattle area and have a place with a nice visually private backyard, however I still have neighbors on all three sides. I'd love to shoot in my space, but don't want to alert anyone.

I've figured out my almost silent backstop but now need a almost silent pcp. My current stock dosent really cut it, and the only 2 candidate guns I have that could fit the bill are a Prod and slavia 618.

Do you have any suggestions for a low fpe pcp that I can get to almost silent? Smaller is better, as my range is about 15m. Open to any caliber but naturally gravitating towards .17 for the obvious reasons.

Help me spend my money friends!

10m (or any type) Air rifle matches for Adults in the PA/NJ/NY/New England area?

Howdy,

Im new to Air gun (and new here) want to start attending matches. My main interest in 10m, but I'd be open to other types of matches as well.

The issue that Im running into is actually finding matches. Nearly all of the matches I found are JROTC,4-H or Jr. /The ones I have found for adults are national level competitions.

Are their any on the east coast, preferable within the PA/NJ/NY area? I'd be willing to travel around New England, though since I am starting out I want to keep travel costs lower.

Also, are there any Air Rifle ranges/clubs in the same tristate area?

AEA 7000 psi compressor. ??

Does anyone else have this yet?? I'm trying to do a review on it . Received mine but I seem to be missing a cord and so far wolfiek group has not been helpful. With 110v outlets here in the US it seems the power transformer should be used to step up to 220. But no cord comes that connects into the compressors ac port ? Also curious on where to get a battery to power this unit cordless? Any help would be much appreciated

Air Arms outsourcing production to India

I caught a clip of someone from Air Arms who was talking about the future of Air Arms and that they are going to use Indian manufacturers.

Is this true?

If this is true, Indian steel is terrible for one, only slightly better than Chinese steel.

Will this mean that Air Arms products will be cheaper to own?

Anyone got any information on this, if I find the clip I will post it.

Other  How much pistol @15 yards?

I set up a Birchwood Casey rimfire dueling tree in my back yard. This because I get bored shooting paper at the local firearms ranges and much prefer shooting steel. So I bought a Vevor pcp air compressor, Hatsan Jet 2 .22, and the dueling tree, to scratch that itch in my back yard. I am shooting off hand at 3" plates 15 yards distance. The Jet 2 is plenty accurate for 3" plates at that distance but it doesn't hit hard enough to reliably swing the plates around, even after applying lithium lube to the dueling tree. Ergo the question. How many foot lbs do I need. Maybe the Jet 2 in .25 would have gotten it done, but having shot the .22 for a couple months, I don't love the feel of the gun, + I am wrong handed for the lever, so still a lower level of satisfaction than I would like. Reading, I am not finding a specific answer anywhere to my main question. I suspect that a HW 44 in .22 might be a good choice for its accuracy and power, and the ability to switch the lever to the wrong hand, but I would like to read the opinion of the experienced folk on this forum. Also, in the $1K range of the HW 44 there might be far better choices of which I am unaware. Also looking at the .25 Viper and any GK1. For myself the only issues I have with the GK1 are, it's more of a hand cannon than a pistol, and my Vevor only pushes to 4500 PSI.

Suddenly some water out of pump at the end of charging cycle. Problem?

Hi,

I have the Yong Heng. Had it for a year or longer. No issues so far until today.

The compressor was not used for a few months. I have filled my Uragan II twice today. First to around 250 bars. No issues. The pump ran a little long because the gun was completely empty. The pump did seam to crank up a tiny bit slower than what I've remembered. Just enough for me to take notice. Other than that everything normal.

Next, about an hour later, I filled from 200 to 300 bars. When I disconnected the probe from the gun suddenly a good bit of water dripped out. It also looked like it had some "white" substance in it. But after it evaporated it left no marks. It is very humid here right now and the pump is not under AC. But it was the same last year and I don't remember water coming out.

Also, now I am wondering all this water is in the gun, the tank, etc. Perhaps I need to send it in for service. The gun has a tiny small leak anyways. It will deplete after a month or two. I need to send it in regardless eventually.

I guess my questions is two fold. Does the gun need immediate attention? Do I need a new pump?

Thanks!

Crosman  My last 😂Custom Crosman pistol.

I finally found a great combination sighting system for my pistol. First I tried open sights and couldn’t do too well, then a pistol scope and no joy there. So today I mounted a BSA compact rifle scope and I’m loving it. I’ve got it signed in for 10 yards and go just 2 pumps. A fun combo for sure! Charles

Are these look a like Yong Heng the same compressor, just marketed different with lower price?

I think so But maybe assembled in a different plant. Maybe there quality control maybe not the same as good or maybe better. There
prices are all over the place. We may never know. I would think if someone bought one & tore it down, & checked it over making sure
all the bolt had lock tite on them & checked over, you could save money. You know they do not produce their own parts. They get
them from the same plants. I might bite the bullet & do that.👍

FX  New m4 max bar

What is the max bar on the m4 here is what the manual States 5.2 Pressurize
Max overall pressure in system
Singel regulator setup = 250 BAR (more info found in section 8).
Dual regulator setup = 300 BAR (more info found in section 8).
Maxairreservoirpressure:Seemarkingsonairreservoir.
Remove dust-cap (34) Close ventilation screw on the charging source.

So do you need to get a first reg to use a 300 bar bottle?

Ghosted some prairie dogs

Hadn't been to these fields since last summer but touched base with the landowner and he told me to please come kill as many as I could.

Leaned on this fence for maybe 10-12 of them.

With all the grass, this area is kinda tough. All in all, spent about 2 hours and popped 35.

Used the Ghost and the JSB .20/15.89 pellets at around 920fps for just shy of 30fpe. Closest was about 30 yards, furthest was 184. Stuck to pellets because of the vicinity of horses.

At the gate I met the lady who leases the fields for her horses and she suspiciously asked what I was up to. Told the truth, shooting prairie dogs. I saw a flash of concern so I told her it's a relatively low power airgun capable of pdog head sized precision and that the only thing that will have extra holes when I'm done is the pdogs. That eased her concerns. She watched for a bit and then came over to tell me where more were, I presume because she saw that I was safe to her horses.

One extreme large one was lumbering around and I dropped him. I usually don't retrieve but I needed to see this chunker up close. He was a monster, by his BMI, MORBIDLY OBESE. Might be the biggest one I've ever seen.
Large one on the left here, next to him is the average size of them for my area, the two on the right are young ones, probably this year's pups.

Ghost is just the perfect tool for this.
Lots of fun!
