Compressors  SOLD Alkin W31 Vertical Compressor

I am listing my Alkin W31 compressor for sale. I am the original owner and purchased new from Alkin Compressors in NJ in August 2020. It has the manual drain and manual start stop options. It has almost 16 hours run time and it has been well maintained with annual oil changes and at least monthly warmups when not being frequently used. It has always been indoors and runs excellent with no issues. I am selling as I am no longer active in the hobby. It comes with a male DIN300 fill whip, about 3/4 gallon of oil, 250 volt 20amp male plug, large factory box cover, and owner's manuals. I prefer it to be picked up at my residence just north of Denver, Colorado if possible. A large truck or van will be needed with a power liftgate or several strong men. As a last resort, I can arrange shipment in the CONUS at buyer's expense.
I am asking $2700 and I accept paypal + 3% fees, paypal F&F, or cash. I also have excellent feedback rating on AGN.

N/A  FX Impact M4 or something else?

Will be shooting 10 to 15yard max to take out backyard tree rats in suburb neighborhood, so noise level is pretty high on priority. Been taking them out from 2nd floor shooting downward using the ground (soft clay) as backstop, therefore a pass through isn't going to be a problem. i have taken them out with Beeman R7 .177 with headshot, but Springer just isn't fun to shoot compare to PCP and i hate the ping noise from the spring/piston. The Umarex Notos .22 is agile and get the job done too but lack knocking down power, while my Avenge X is just way too long and clumsy (well over 4ft long) to maneuver in tight spaces.

I'm looking to up the fun factor and I think it's going to be even more satisfactory to send the rats flying with more FPE, lots of power with hollow point for maximum energy dumb is my goal, slugs will just pass through at this range i think, hollow point pellet probably have the most expansion.

FX Impact M4 is on my radar, I thought about the Huben K1, but i don't like the idea of non removable magazine and it's a pain in the rear to clean the barrel. Was looking at the Western Sidewinder that can do semi and full auto, but i keep reading that it's quite loud and definitely not as backyard friendly as the M4 from what I gathered. Is the M4 the safetest route to go? at least most of the bugs have been worked out by now, or is there something else i should consider? 😁 Looking to buy brand new from one of the reputable retailer online, not at all interested in getting used stuff.

PCP Rifle  SOLD RTI MORA .22 (Tuned) Hand Guard / Hush .50 LDC / Hard Case

20240903_080703.jpg

This is the MORA Tony sent me to make the promotional video. It was only shot from the bench to film the video. I think about 40 shots total, then right back in the case. Brand new condition. If you saw the video, this particular gun shoots 40gr Altaros slugs at 930 FPS in 1/2 MOA groups at 100 yards. Why would you pay nearly the same price for this gun as a one from the store? Because I already cleaned the barrel for you, and it's tuned to perfection for the 40g slugs...and it's just as new as what you will get from Talon Tunes, but Tony isn't going to clean the barrel for you. Plus, there is video proof of what this gun can do. ...I also don't charge Sales Tax.

Comes with everything and the hard case. Free shipping. Thanks -Nate @ Airgun Channel

PM me here or you can email me at [email protected] or call or text 360-844-0962

Price: $2199.00

Yet another selfless contribution to the FT and AGN community

Friends, I gift you (all) the following tool to immensely reduce the amount of clutter, clamour, confusion and contention on/in the Field Target section of this forum. Given the sheer volume of (often contentious) debates over AAFTA rules, why this or that one exists, and especially, HOW THEY COME ABOUT, this tool I gift you (all) can be used to abort many, if not most, such rules threads soon as they raise their ugly heads. 👺

Of course that assumes One cares to abort ugly rules debates, and understands a simple outline format. Regardless, feel free to copy and save the outline below, and wield it as an effective learning tool/weapon as needed.

You're welcome.

1. A potential rule change is communicated to the BoG through email by:
a. a club,
b. an individual,
c. a Board Member, or
d. an issue that arises during a match that requires the BoG’s attention.

2. The potential rule change or issue is presented to the BoG along with any information supporting the argument for a rule change.

3. The BoG meets and discusses the potential rule change or issue.
a. If the BoG determines that no rule changes are required, the issue is closed and the club or individual who suggested the rule is informed of the decision.
b. If a rule change is needed, the BoG develops the rule change wording.

4. Once the BoG has the wording for the proposed rule change, it will be sent out to the member clubs in good standing via email along with a description of why the rule change is being considered.

5. The communication to the clubs should include a rationale, “From: rule” and “To: rule” format, so they can easily see the change being proposed.

6. The clubs are given 30 days to respond via email directly to the BoG.

7. Suggestions by the member clubs will be discussed by the BoG and the proposed rule change will be updated accordingly.

8. After the club updates, the proposed rule change will be shared to the AAFTA email subscription list.

9. The airgun community is given 15 days to respond via email directly to the BoG. Posts on any of the forums about the rule change will be ignored.

10. Suggestions by the airgun community will be discussed by the BoG, and the proposed rule change will be updated accordingly.

11. The final proposed rule change will be voted on by the BoG. If the rule change passes the BoG vote:
a. The rule is formally announced to member clubs in good standing (so competitors / industry can prepare for upcoming changes)

b. The rule is added to the following calendar year rule book and is effective after the Nationals

To close, I feel compelled to confess that, having been involved in this AAFTA rules-making/rules changes process for many years, I've simply been too lazy to go to aafta.org, locate the proper link to the rule-book ('handbook' in AAFTA vernacular), comb through the 28 page rule-book ('handbook' in AAFTA vernacular) to locate the outline quoted above, copy and paste it to this forum; until now. I beg your forgiveness for my laziness, and offer this post in reparation(s).

Happy Shooting,😀
Ron

P.S.- In proof-reading this post for errors, I visited aafta.org . Sure enough, I mis-stated the length of the AAFTA rule-book ('handbook' in AAFTA vernacular). It's 31 pages.

FX  How to make a really good gun Into a better gun .

Having got my DRS .22 600 a few days ago It was shooting 18g pellets at around 960 fps out of the box , shot count two mags ( 24 pellets ) I was a little disappointed with the shot count considering I was supposed to get around sixty shots , so ok It was shooting a little hot so I tuned It down to 900 fps with that I saw barley three mags . So I bought and Installed the SHP power plenum with the side bracket and gauge , before I changed the tune It shot 18G pellets at 1024 fps , after doing some tuning on the reg and the hammer spring I am now shooting at around 930 fps with the AEA 18g pellets the regs at 80 bar and three full turns out on the hammer spring now Im getting four mags + . So now this rifle Is awesome It shooting 15g/18g pellets at 60 yards half Inch groups with every brand of pellet I have It even loves the cheap Norma 17g pellets . The picture was at sixty yards with AEA 18 g the small target at the top was a sight In no wind single shot loading .

Big Bore/Arrow  SOLD Custom Airforce Texan SS .308 w/ Winter Camo 1 Liter bottle

Hello, I been loosing intest in my big bores some over the years. So, I'm selling even my best ones. This one is one of my favorite builds ever.

It is a .308 Texan SS altered to fit a ONE liter bottle for a flatter shot curve. It has almost worked as a regulator. I can get 7-8 shots with less than a 20fps spread at 150fpe. I fill this tank to 170 bar and shoot down to 150 bar.

The gun shoots lighter to medium ammo. I settled an AVS cup base 75 grain at 930fps. I'll link a video for its accuracy below.

Here are the only issues. 1- I fell on some ice coyote hunting, cracked part of the stock. It has been glued together 3 years ago and never had problems (see pics). 2- fill port always get dirty. I have to clean the o-ring at the foster once a year. I'll clean it right before I ship.

This gun actually won me 3rd place in Extreme Benchrest is 2021.

HW/Weihrauch  Best optics for .177 HW44 and older eyes (maybe some magnification)

I just purchased a .177 Weihrauch HW44 PCP pistol with the Weihrauch 2x20 Pistol Scope from AoA. Now I'm having second thoughts since that's very little magnification for my old eyes. I'm open to suggestions from anyone. I will be pesting at 20 to 40 yards (mostly 25-30). I have a little time to call and change my order since they won't be shipping for another week or so. Thanks for any input!

I looked for a pinned comment that says I can't do this...

Attached is a photo of my doje, named Bumble, who identifies as a rug who is sleeping off a treat at Aiguns of Arizona TODAY. And I really did look but I also really want help with this question. It is also true that bb guns, kids and pups kind of roll together am I right? So I figured I might get some answers here. I ended up my sister's extremely expensive 1 year old golden doodle. I did not want this dog but my 9 year old boy, who I have talked about and gotten advice about his PCP tutelage at length on this forum, loves his doje as much as his air rifling.
I am super sure that my son will improve on his accuracy and precision with pellet guns if his doje was a happier doje. My sister was feeding the doje healthy food it totally hates. What is a tasty food for dojes that is also healthy?
How am I supposed to coach my son's PCP pellet gunning if I am always spending time trying to get his doje to eat more.
- Hungry doje in AZ. -
Also a huge thank you to AoA and Todd with Omega for trouble shooting my trailcharger and the inline dryer today. I love AoA they have Doje treats and let dojes in.

If you delete this post it means you are jealous that I got bought that stack of nice hand-me-down .30 magazines today at AoA that you wish you would have bought. And let me tell you they are hand-me-down level, not all used. Soooo nice. (I'm just kidding, you are a nice mod, please don't delete my post.)

Need advice on a purchase…..sending $ but afraid

So i made a post in the classified section WTB a dream air rifle I wanted. It’s a tx200 hc walnut. This person contacts me with the timestamp shows me his drivers license, but doesn’t want me to pay him through PayPal good and services. We agreed on a price. I insisted that I will pay for the fee
Using PayPal goods and services, but he said that an air rifle is considered a firearm and PayPal doesn’t like that. I googled this through PayPal and PayPal does not have an issue Protecting me when buying an air rifle. The seller insist that I use Venmo and that I would be protected so I searched the protection program through Venmo and it states that you are protected if you buy goods from someone with a business account not if you send money for an item , and you send it to an individual.
Am I asking for too much as a buyer to feel safe before I send $ to someone for an item they might or might not send me?
Scam or am I over thinking and Venmo does protect me if I send him the money as an individual?

Airgun Projectile BC for Complete Dummies

In this case I'm the dummy. This evening I tried using the ballistic feature in my Pard NV008 LRF. It was asking for data that I didn't have. To obtain the scope height I took calipers and measure from the middle of the breech to around the middle of the objective lens. Then I chronographed a shot string to get an average fps. Then I noticed that the scope asked for a "far distance" velocity. I have no way of knowing that without setting my chronograph downrange close to the target. No way am I doing that. I already shot the chrony in a shooting session this year. I'm not doing it. So what are my other options besides a Garmin, FX, or LabRadar type of chronograpgh? I'm trying to calculate the BC of the pellets I'm shooting hoping that I can eventually be lazy and not have to remember my holdovers for night shooting once I get this scope dialed in. This "far distance" term is throwing me off. What does that even mean? How far away from the rifle does the measured "far distance" have to be? Anyone else with beginner questions on ballistic coefficient fire away.
