PCP Rifle  SOLD FX Impact M4 .177 with 4 QD Fox Magazines! $1450

I finally got my rimfire suppressor! Truth be told, air-gunning has gotten just as expensive, sometimes MORE costly (shot per shot cost) than powder burning. 2100-24.8 Grain slugs, from NSA cost $146 shipped to my door. 2000-40 Grain CCI Standard Velocity cost $156 shipped to my door. If we go heavier in weight, the Air-gunning shot per shot cost doesn’t add up. PLUS my compressor is on it‘s way out, which will end up being my 4th, if I buy another. Long story short, the gun is in good condition, shoots well and has no issues. I’ll attach photos of a group I shot @ 110 yards using 16 Grain ZAN slugs. IMG_1629.jpegBarely over an inch, using a camera tripod.
$1450 shipped!

  • Question
Other  Regulator breaking in?

Hi everyone, after I bought my rifle my regulator would idle at 110 bar but would settle to around 100 bar after a few shots. Now that I have shot over 500 pellets it seems my regulator has been steady at 100 bar. Usually it would go from 110 to 100 from a 200bar full cylinder to 150 bar on the cylinder.

Not trying to complicate it but what I'm trying to say is it's 100 bar from topped off cylinder till it starts to struggle at around 120 bar and below on the cylinder (slow stabilization)

Is this normal? Was my rifle intended to be at 100 bar? And it's just the regulator settling in? Do factories set a buffer on new rifles or something.

Sheridan  Steroid Pumpers - Sheridan Benjamin Crosman

I am wanting to know about steroid pumpers.
What exactly is a steroid? Is anyone still doing this? What does it involve? How much does it cost? What are the benefits? What are the negative trade offs? How do you know for certain a gun is steroid when advertised as being one? What is an indicator? Is it worth the expense? Should any off-the-shelf gun be a good candidate for a steroid? How can I know if my used gun is a steroid? Any other questions are welcome.
All and any knowledge of these questions will be appreciated.

HW/Weihrauch  HW30 Vortek Tuning Question

I left my HW30 cocked and loaded for about three months. Speed was down to 530 when I ran it over the chronograph. I had a Vortek Steel kit PG4 for the rifle and installed it this weekend with the VAC seal. No issues with the install, everything went smoothly.

I ran it across the chronograph with H&N FTT 8.64's and was only able to get 580 fps for about 6.5 fpe. Vortek's website says the kit is good for 7 to 9.5 fpe with the VAC seal installed.

I cleaned the inside out and used a small amount of the grease included with the kit. I applied a small amount on the outside of the VAC seal and spring as instructed. Was a simple install with no drama. However it is slower than I expected.

Any recommendations on how to get it a bit hotter? What did I do wrong for it to be so slow? I have shot about a hundred pellets through it and no changes to velocity.

I am wondering what tuning secret I am missing.

Thanks in advance!

fx slug pin probe question

good morning all
I'm looking to see if anyone has owned the pin probe the fx makes in the power slug kit?
i would like just the probe if possible or if anyone knows who makes a probe similar that just the pin is adjustable
not the entire probe, i seen the one on Utah but it's useless as the whole probe moves not just the pin
thanks for any info.

Traditional Rifle  WTS Chinese B4-2 Air Rifle .177 Cal

My wife and I are thinning down our collection, so please check out our other listings. We do not have much left to sell before we are done.

The Type-B4-2 had a very short history.

It was intended to replace the Type-B3 SKS training rifle by replacing the SKS sight picture with an AK-47 sight picture.

Despite the change, the Type-B4-2 retained its SKS-like stock, which meant it still handled like an SKS/Type-B3.

As a result, Chinese companies quickly introduced models like the BAM B3, which closely copied the AK-47's wood furniture design. These models even included the correct pistol grip and folding stock.

This effectively ended the Type-B4-2's involvement in military training, and resulted in a massive sale off on the commercial market in the 1970s and 1980s. This particular Type-B4 was sold by Hercules.

You will notice that this example comes equipped with a scope mount bracketed around the receiver. This scope mount is original to the rifle. It was added by the Chinese in a last minute effort to appeal to American consumers, who at the time, were not particularly familiar with the AK-47 sight picture.

You have to remember, these came into the United States during the Cold War, before any of this stuff was cool.

This rifle functions, groups extremely well, and all the seals are good. It comes with a premium leather sling, marked with Chinese writing and characters.

There are no cracks in the stock but the shellac finish is chipping off in a few spots. I thought about refinishing it, but it can only be original once, so I left it alone. Once it is yours, you may do with it whatever you please.

When you decide to sell or trade - research first

Have a new club shooter... Field Target but he will be new to Airguns in general AND PCP's. He's always been a open carry guy so... gun ownership is not an issue.
Anyway, i had an opportunity to show and tell some various airguns to him this weekend and offer him an intro package. His brother already shoots Field Target using a custom Marauder. A nice Marauder with a field target stock is a great first choice and of course a nice Hawke scope also helps to make for a more pleasant starting point. This particular Marauder shoots very well see 25 yard sight in card 10 shots.

Here is a pretty basic breakdown of what a low cost field target package might look like; please note i do not have a customized mag side wheel on this yet but that usually adds about $160.00 unless you know how to 3D print one yourself. The retail as pictured was right about $1711.00 no wheel. 50% of that or $750.00 used seems spot on.
Your thoughts?

FX  Impact barrel lengths

Digging further and further into this deep rabbit hole of airgun theory, I was wondering what the more experienced airgunners think about barrel length.
My (very limited) understanding is that longer lengths help with air usage (less pressure needed to achieve a given velocity), and help push heavy projectiles at faster velocity (there is a longer runway for the projectile). BUT, this doesn't mean more accuracy, since a longer barrel is also more susceptible to whip.
Is the above correct? If so, how does one balance the pros and cons of the longer barrels?
