Other  Quite backyard pcp rifles

Greetings,

I had to take a few months off of backyard target practice after I pissed off one of my neighbors shooting my airbow.... They called the cops on me and everything....

Now that that has hopefully cooled off I want to get back into it. I probably won't shoot my airbow here anymore so got looking at suppressed 22/25 cal air rifles. My budget it like 300-400 for the rifle and maybe 100 in accessories

The rifle that has been on my list the longest is the air venturi avenger, curious how quite I can get it with one of the donny suppressors?

I also found and like the look of the hatsun flash qe, but in one of the videos it says it's 90decibles a shot and that might be to loud...

The internet says the Benjamin murader is pretty quite?

Does any one have any recommendations?

N/A  Started with springer, went to PCP's, want 1 springer-which one?

My first 2 airguns were a Beeman R7 .177 and a Theoben SLR98 in .22. I went to PCP"s and have owned many, and now have 8 I'm really happy with. I feel I should own one good springer, but which one? Break barrel or cocking lever? My use will be for hunting (squirrels mainly). At 68, something not too hard to cock would be good. For some reason, I would not mind a .20 caliber. A gun with a thumbhole stock (I have a fused right wrist and an right-handed), ability to use a scope (mandatory), an adjustable cheek piece would be nice. Was looking at a Weirauch 98. Suggestions appreciated.

Scope for pesting

I am looking for a scope for my new setup. EDGUN LESHIY 2 BADGER (REPR-X) in .30
I have all kinds of optics, but can't find the right one for quick shots. I try to keep both eyes
open as i come from the shotgun world. Repeat shots are a must with iguana's, and they don't
stay still, so you have to keep finding them in the optic. Shots aren't long range, 50 yds and under.
It's those close shots that are the ones that get me.
I found this one. midwayusa.com/product/1018441940?pid=141861

HW/Weihrauch  177 shoot out later today.

Dodging the rain and shooting in between gust I kept rotating through my rifles. I started with my squirrel gun for the first two lines. It's my Hw50 with a 4x Hawke centerfire scope. The second two rows are my first Weihrauch. A 177 Hw95. The last row is my green 177 Hw97. All these are five shots of 8.44s from the same tin at 25 yards.

The first storm passed and I grew some balls and took the 97 out to 50 yards. I shot these four targets with adjustments in between before the second storm had me packing in. The red dots are 3/4"

Here's me shooting the 97 at 50 yards in my typical positioning with the 97. Looks posed but it's not. I trigger this gun with my middle finger.

Lots of fun today,
Be well all.

Finished NOTOS

Finished Tuning/ Modding my notos. The goal is to get most power and most shot counts (Efficiency!) out of the factory air tube. Did I mention I hate plastic parts on any of my air rifles! So I removed the factory plastic rail and used a 11mm dovetail to picatinny rail adapter instead. The adapter looks pretty similar to the one on my Brocock sniper XR but shorter. For the power section I removed the factory valve poppet and used an after market delrin valve poppet. I also ordered the last available plenum / regulator gauge block from Canada. Tuned and smoothed out the trigger unit, Now it's putting out 28 shots at 21 FPE with JSB 15.89 GR (785fps average). Man this thing is a tack driver!

Daystate  Redwolf .22HP - When they are all flyers????

Ok, I haven't been shooting as much as I should and recently starting shooting again. Setup a target at 25 yards - laser verified from end of barrel to target.
Equipment used:
LabRadar
Laser Range Finder
Cadwell Shooting Table
Rifle:
Redwolf .22HP Polished Barrel, Hardened Parts for Gen2, Heliboard 11 volt, Bi-Pod, Rear Sand Bag
Pellets:
JSB Redesigned 25ish grain

Refill to 3,500 PSI - Power Level 12-5 shots, Power Level 11-5 Shots, Power Level 10-5 Shots, Power Level 9-5 Shots.
Refill to 3,500 PSI- Power Level 8-5 shots, Power Level 7- 5 Shots, Power Level 6-5 shots, Power Level 5-5 Shots
Refill to 3,500 PSI- Power Level 4-5 Shots, Power Level 3-5 Shots, Power Level 2-5 Shots, Power Level 1-5 Shots

Now granted I'm not a world class shooter, but 25 yards is nothing. I did learn the basics in Marine Corps Boot Camp and my 30-06 is sub-MOA, best I've done with her is 5 shots at 200 yards under 0.75".
Center to Center Measurements with Calipers

Power Level 12 - 1.320 X 0.644
Power Level 11 - 1.475 X 0.400
Power Level 10 - 0.981 X 1.229
Power Level 9 - 1.595 X 0.798
Power Level 8 - 1.303 X 0.964
Power Level 7 - 1.738 X 0.807
Power Level 6 - 0.904 X 0.588
Power Level 5 - 1.072 X 1.671
Power Level 4 - 0.672 X 1.450
Power Level 3 - 1.728 X 1.124
Power Level 2 - 0.208 X 1.540
Power Level 1 - 0.688 X 1.064

I then removed the moderator to see if it was any clipping going on. Visual inspection of the moderator, not taken apart, none noticed. 5 shots at Power Level 6, 7 and 8. No improvement.
I than refilled to 3,500 and shot 66 shots with the Moderator at the green target, WHAT A MESSSSSS.

Suggestions?

I had recharged the Battery Last month, so I guess I'll recharge the battery, clean the barrel and run it again.

FX  How do you use your power wheel?

How do you use the power wheel on your FX PCP airgun (Impact, Crown, etc…) with multiple settings? Or maybe the question is ‘do you ever use….? I’m not sure I fully understand the point of them yet. I have only gone through the tuning process on an Impact X and the video I watched only talked about tuning from the Max setting. Can the power wheels be set up such that you can use a different setting for different calibers without going through the full tuning process of setting regulator(s) and other dials in addition to the power wheel? For instance - can I have my Crown MKII set up with the .22 pellet barrel on one setting (Max) and then swap to a .177 barrel and only tune with the power wheel without going through regulator adjustments? Or is that not how the power wheels are designed to work?

Edit to add a question (below) about using the transfer port wheel.
