HW/Weihrauch  My First PCP!

HW44! This thing is awesome in so many ways, super accurate out of the box, just cleaned the barrel and mounted a rifle scope. Learned a lot about leveling :). Sighted it in and it performed better than my already high expectations. I'm a newbie so now I want one of everything! Already have a nice springer, Prosport. That one is challenging but I'm figuring it out. Hand pumping sucks so now I know what my next purchase will be. I've learned from other hobbies that buy once, cry once is real...Cheers!

Huben  The GK1 is more accurate than I thought

For those of you wanting an extremely accurate pellet that’s heavier than the GTO, try the JTS 25.39 in .22. They rival the GTOs in accuracy but will give you more knockdown power and be superior for longer range shooting. Here’s 3 five shot groups averaging 3/8” at 25y (880 fps/ 44 fpe):

Traditional Rifle  SOLD Air Arms TX200 in RH Beech Stock .177

This is an Air Arms TX200 that I bought second-hand years ago. The rifle was originally tuned before sold to me. The reason I am selling the rifle is because when the previous owner sold this rifle to me he did not tell me about the broken safety button. He had glued it hoping it would stick for a while. So I tried to buy a new safety button but I cannot acquire one. Apparently you can only buy an entirely new trigger block now instead of just a safety button spare part. I know some of you crafty airgun shooters can either figure out how to get the safety button back together or to make a new one entirely. I currently have the safety button taped in place and I can shoot it just this way with no issues. Besides the safety button, the rifle shoots great and is in decent condition. The notable markings are shown in the pictures below. It is shooting JSB 8.44s at about 821 fps. I am selling the rifle for $550 shipped to you. I am shipping CONUS and payment is on PayPal using FF. Let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks!

PCP Rifle  NLA Epic two 22 caliber (lower price)

So any of you that know me knows the kind of shooting/hunting I do and as much as I like this gun it's just not for me. It is bigger that it looks in pics but does shoulder very well and if you shoot from a bench or tripod it is a Awesome platform.

Only had it 3 days ,comes with 3 mags and I will throw in one of my stubby Wylie mods. No scope or rings.

Update: made a titanium mod adapter also.

I paid 1928.00 plus 83.00 in customs fees asking 1800.00 and split shipping gun is still new condition.

FX  OG Impact Help!!! What bushing is this?????

Hay guys haven't been here in a while. I have a OG impact. I was out shooting yesterday and POP!!!!! Air starts leaking out the side hole (by the safety) I have shot tens of thousands of rounds with not any real problems. I thought it might something wrong with the reg went to remove the trigger and there was a little Bushing inside where the trigger catches the hammer hold. Do you have any idea where it came from? It seams to be a darrilon bushing. not an o ring. Here is a pic. Thanks in advance..

N/A  Revolutionary PCPs

Curious as to what some of you consider to be 'revolutionary' for the time. May not be your favorite or may not have been the 'best' but at the time was quite revolutionary.

A few of my nominees in no particular order to start with.

AirForce guns.... simple, easy to maintain, powerful, US made.
Benjamin Discovery.... Made PCP affordable back in the day when PCP wasnt quite so affordable. Paved the way for many inexpensive airguns
Benjamin Marauder... Was a lot of folks introduction into PCP at a lower tiered price point with some of the 'niceties' that the more expensive guns had
Benjamin Rogue... a fail at the time, but also ahead of its time
Daystate CDT system.. predecessor to the MCT and quite remarkable for its time
FX Revolution...one of the first 'mainstream-ish' semi auto airguns
FX Impact.. highly modular from the factory

What are some yall might consider?

Diana  Reduce diana 460 power to reduce hold sensitivity.

Hello all,

I just joined the forum although I have been a long time follower.

My problem is bit unique. I want to reduce hold sensitivity to make my diana 460 easier to shoot.
Is it possible to replace the spring with another to, maybe reduce the power a bit to achieve a much smoother operation?

New member from NY

Good day all. New to the forum. so I got hooked on air powered rifles when I was very young. I would shoot my dads diana that he bought back in the 80s when he was in Italy. whenever I would go visit, my cousin and I would grab the diana in .177 and just have a blast. Got hooked since. I forgot which model it was. Now I own my own diana, few gamos. All break barrel. I want to get my first PCP air rifle. Still deciding which one I want to get.

any people from long island? was wondering where you guys go to shoot? I heard brookhaven has an air rifle range. Never been there before.

I give up on 177 slugs!!!!!!!!

I give up , Now I have 3 guns in 177, Veteran #2 , Uragan stranded, And my Prophet # 2 that I wanted as My slug gun.I have tried about five different slugs , I have tried 800 to 1000 and over FPS. And no I am not just going to keep buying slugs and chasing the accuracy that is not there. I got one to group pretty good at 30 yards but not 48 yards, They can not even come close to my pellet accuracy. I expect to drop a sparrow at 30,48, and 70 yards . Yes the little 10 gr JSB pellet is the king in all 3 guns, Well the Vulcan likes the JSB Hades also just a tie .
NSA, Zan, JSB, H&N and a couple other slugs' just tossed in the trash, Yes I have polished my barrel, cleaned it after each slug , I am just going back to my good ole pellets and I hope I have not ruined my barrel shooting all this lead crap in the barrel, Going to Mexico to the Dentist so I want be back for a few days. So I want know until I get back ,
I am just going back to I shoot pellet guns , Not crap slug guns in my barrels anyway. My guns were designed and made to shoot pellets , Not balls. Not slugs, but good ole PELLETS,,,
Oh one more thing , If I was to buy a barrel made for slugs, I will say it again, Designed and made for SLUGS I might start over again.
I got some magazines for sale in the WTS site, I am going to load up all my 177 slugs and stick in the box for free.
Mike

N/A  What's your "old reliable" and why?

Here's mine, wearing a new outfit.

vet short.jpg

Some history of the gun here: https://www.airgunnation.com/threads/veteran-short-20.821754/
How it ended up with the chassis/"tactical" stock on it here: https://www.airgunnation.com/threads/og-veteran-tactical-stock.1301222/

I bought this Veteran in Sept of 2018, exactly one year after I'd purchased my USFT. The USFT was everything that I'd hoped, but a VERY specialized field target gun, so specialized in fact, that using it for general use and/or pesting/hunting is a bit cumbersome. You see, the USFT, with a moderator fitted is loooonnnnnggggg. And I wanted something at the other extreme, as short as I could get. And I also wanted more of a general use gun. Hence the Veteran Short. Originally purchased as a .22, it morphed into a slightly longer .20, and more recently the aluminum stock was added.

When a pest needs taken care of, when I want to shoot tiny little groups, when I want to do well in a field target match, when I want a quick pdog or pest session at the family feed lot, the Vet Short can always be relied on to put em right where I want.

My oldest son claimed the .20 Vet as "his" field target gun a few summers ago so this recent change to the tactical stock had to be approved by him. We both shot the aluminum stock on the Standard .177 Vet a bit and discussed our thoughts before deciding to move it over to the sweet little .20 Vet. We both liked the "feel" and decided to make it happen.

The alum stock makes this thing a little porker. I'd guess 12-14 pounds.

26.5 inches overall length so the short and sweet factor is still alive and well.

When an airgun shoots extremely well, I really agonize over any major change to the rig. I'm almost afraid the let out the magic by making changes, so I was concerned in that regard about making the swap to the alum stock, swapping over the scope towers/barrel+air tube clamp, etc. But I shot the .20 Vet this evening with it's new clothes and THIS is a large part of why it is one of my favorite airguns. 5, 5 shot groups at 55 yards. All from a stool and shooting sticks, "hunter class" field target style. These are the results.....
vet short1.jpg

Average group size of 0.557", or 0.97MOA. Not many airguns will shoot like that, especially from that position. And the wildest part is that I felt myself pulling those shots that aren't 10xs! This gun+barrel is very likely capeable of 3/8 inch groups @ 55 yards, if the trigger puller was capable of such.

Just an overall sweet gun, holds a special place for me. I paid $1250 from R&L Airguns in Pueblo, CO 6 years ago. And I've gotten every penny's worth of that amount in enjoyment out of this gun. And most of that is the reliable nature of the thing. Love it.
