SOLD WTS or Trade 4-20x44 Hawke Frontier

I have a 4-20x44 Hawke Frontier, this is the newest model with the System H7 optics and is a second focal plane scope. It has the illuminated Mil-Pro 20x reticle and is side focus down to 10 yards. It comes with all the factory accessories including metal flip up lens covers and zoom lever. The scope has very light ring marks, other than that perfect condition. I am looking for $425 shipped CONUS. I take PayPal F&F, USPS money order or will accept a personal check if you are a well known member with good feedback. I will consider trades for other scopes but must be FFP only. Also rifles, pistols, or night vision / thermal scanner will be considered. I have 100% positive feedback with 21 transactions so deal with confidence. Thanks.

SOLD Athlon Midas BTR Gen2 1-6x24 W/ ATSR16 MOA reticle

Selling a like-new Athlon Midas BTR Gen2 1-6x24 scope with the ATSR16 MOA reticle in the second focal plane. This is actually a REALLY nice scope, but I’m an all mil/mrad guy and after some light use with this I think I’m going to stay that way.

I’m looking for $425 shipped, no trades at this time. Any questions, just ask. Thanks!

.22 Cricket2 Tactical with custom SC stock

Just received a .22 Cricket2 Tactical in trade. 600mm unchoked barrel. Previous owner tuned to 900 FPS with Monster RD pellets.
I took the gun out to shoot yesterday, initially at 50 yards, and was very disappointed with the pellet performance. At 50 yards getting a ten shot group inside a quarter was about the best I could do. I did bring some slugs with me, JSB .217 KO and .22 FX Hybrid.
I started with the KOs, and although they shot well, they we only a little bit better than the RDM pellets.

Then I loaded a magazine (14 shots) with the FX Hybrids. BINGO! Shooting them at 910 FPS, all 14 went into a group smaller than a dime. Mostly a 14 shot cloverleaf. So looks like that will be a great little hunter, or PRS gun.
The Steve Corcorran stock was purchased used from another member here on AGN, and its gorgeous. The gun itself is very good, cocking is fairly smooth, but every now and then it over rotates the magazine and I need to manually rotate it back so the slug will load. It did this with both pellets and slugs. Also, Cricket continues to use that "needle probe", which is what I call their pin probe made VERY thin from weak bendable steel. They need to either go to a slightly thicker "pin", or upgrade the toughness of the steel that is used. It bends VERY easily as it is now. I put the 700cc bottle on just for fun, will probably reinstall the original 580cc bottle. I'm curious why with a new model gun Kalibrgun didn't make the scope pic rail 20 or 25 MOA...??? Hmmm, doesn't make much sense.

But back to the actual gun, the .22 FX Hybrid in this gun are as accurate as any slug I've seen from any gun that I've shot. I took it to 100 yards but swirly winds but not enough time to give it a fair shake. I shot about 20 and most were in the 9 or 10 ring of the EBR target and a few in the 8 ring. Overall, disappointed in the pellet (RDM) performance, but thrilled with the slug (FX Hybrid) performance. They aren't high BC slugs, but 0.080 (G1) is much better than any pellet...

Show us your squirrel gun for this season!

Hopefully I didn't miss a thread similar to this already. I was gearing up to get ready for our squirrel season here in September, and just thought it would be nice to see what kinda iron ya'll are toting on the first hunt this year? I know some have already started, post up anyway.

As for me, I've changed gears a bit lately, and have been screwing around with some of my PCPs. If you know me, you know I'm a pretty diehard spring gun hunter so this is quite the change of tune lol...but I'm not drifting off the road too far, it's still a low powered .177 peashooter. It will be just the ticket for the high angle treetop shots that early squirrel season always provides.

Here's my HW100 in .177 running right at 12fpe, in "Carbine" mode. Wearing a 3-9X40 Nikon Target EFR:

Right now it sports a CZ hammer forged barrel, a lightened and shortened hammer, and an extended pellet probe to seat the pellet fully into the bore. It also has the top of the receiver drilled and tapped for three setscrews that make the barrel mounting more rigid, and quick to change with the airtube still in place. All I need to do now is find my front sling stud and screw it in place of the front action screw and I'm set.

I saved a little weight over my old standby HW77K, this setup weighs 8.8lbs and is a little shorter at 38 inches OAL. Looking forward to dragging this one through the woods this year. Definitely not as cool and powerful as the newer toys most of you guys have, but it will get the job done.

Let's see what you are hitting the woods with!

I'm really curious.....

In the few years I've been involved with PCP's I've probably tried 8-10 different scopes, the majority of which have had illuminated reticles (IR). Other than putting a battery in to see if they work properly I've NEVER used that feature. Even Joe Rhea (Cyclops) mentioned in one of his videos that they're mostly a "gimmick". 5+ years of hunting & I've never had the need to use it. How many of you really use IR on a regular basis. Is it a deal breaker/maker when buying a scope & WHY? I'm really curious.

Fear and trepidation

Well I finally polished my barrels. I had gathered alll necessary supplies and sat on them. I was fearful of ruining a barrel. I watched many videos on the subject. Today I polished 4 barrels, my fears were unfound. I approached the first barrel with trepidation. It was an easy task, should have done the polishing sooner. I used the red JB paste and Flitz they came out with a mirror like finish, pellets glided smoothly through the barrel. I ran out of daylight but hopefully will try them tomorrow. Fear not!

Getting out of Air Rifles

So I am toying with moving away from air rifles.
After spending a good amount of money I am getting frustrated with the results. Love the challenge but wow, I get beaten every time. Frustrating to say the least.
Went top of the line but even that, FX, has let me down, too much tweaking.
Someone want to talk me off the ledge?

Western Airguns VS LCS Air Arms (in Court)

A little inside info: An employee at LCS Air Arms stole a Laptop from the LCS office when they left. LCS believes that is how the Rattler was developed, as a direct result of the Laptop theft. They are pretty mad about it and also mad at the main Western Arms seller because they felt betrayed by them as well. I'm pretty sure they are going to court with the new gun company.

Obviously, someone can dissassemble an SK-19 and reverse engenier anything they want. It's not rocket science. But LCS alledges what I stated above.

....crazy world.

FX Dreamline leaks at the bottle adapter connection of the base

Hello friends,

greetings from Germany again.

I have a regulated Dreamline and was on vacatation in Netherland.
Where I install the "export kit", to remove the limits of this nice gun.

Everything works fine and I was really happy for about 200 shots. Everything sealed and no gas leaks.

After this, I've try to install the power plenum and after this instantly air is leaking out of the connection from the bottle adapter of the base.

I've tryed everything, changed ALL o-rings in this area and remove the plenum as well. Now its leaking with or without the plenum. Everytime on the base.
I've cleaned it really well with isoprop and remove any dust. No results. :(

Do you have any tips or hints for me?

I'm really desperate. :(
