ISO backyard friendly but also able to shoot 100 yards +

I already have Kalibrgun Cricket 2Tact in .22 long but looking for another pcp rifle. (I might have the pcp bug). What’s out there that is quiet to shoot in small backyard (30 yards) and range shoot out to 100+. I only paper shoot but plain on getting KYL steel targets for range. I’d also like to stay with .22 and under $2000. And thoughts or suggestions welcome!

SOLD New Taipan Veteran .25 Huma Plenum

Purchased this Taipan Veteran .25 new. It has never been fired. Sent original barrel off to be modified and never got it back. I'm just cutting my losses at this point. Rifle is complete MINUS barrel. Has new Huma regulator and Czech plenum installed. Comes with (2) mags, fill probe, and OEM gauge. A sehkmet digital gauge is installed but my cat chewed the charging cord. 🤦 As such, I am including original gauge, still has plastic on face. This rifle is in pristine condition. Coffee stock is perfect. Just needs a barrel. Asking $500 shipped. PayPal F&F. Thanks for looking!

PCPs eat the pellets!

Messing around with my 360° Camera awhile back while loading some magazines.

It's hard to keep the PCP airguns fed when the tank allows so many shots per fill! Haha

Started with a Gamo Break Barrel a few years back and man I would shoot around 1/4 a tin during a session. Now shooting the Impact I'm lucky if I don't shoot a whole tin within a few hours!

It would hard to go back to a break barrel after shooting a PCP though. My wife also agrees as she is 4'11" and could barely break the barrel to load another shot 🤣

Folding Bench Basement Window?

Built a folding bench top so I could shoot out my basement window during the winter. My wife tried to make fun of me so I would take it down.... not a chance it's here to stay! Haha

I dont use it much but when winter comes and the bird feeders go up its nice to stay warm inside, have a cup of coffee, watch the birds, and pick off the "bad ones".

Anyone else come up with a clever idea to shoot during the non optimal months for being outdoors?

I have 3 barrels. 22 25 and 30. You choose the barrel. This came with the origional regulator, I bought a repr afterwords. Just the gun and 1 barrel with both regulators is 1800.00. The barrels are all alphas. The 25 has 2 magazines, the other 2 only come with one magazine. Barrels will be only be sold separately after the gun sells. Also have extra indexing kit and parts that commonly wear out. If your interested message me and I will provide my cell phone number. I will cover half of shipping. Will include a full tin of Jsb to fit the caliber you choose. Gun functioning perfectly. I am a shooter and not a collector, looking to try something else for a while. Warning, you will burn thru pellets very quickly! I placed a carbon fiber wrap around the shroud and glued a picatinny rail for a light, it comes off easily if you dont want it, but it protects the shroud from dings. I have good standing on the board if it's still there after this upgrade. I prefer a conversation on the phone rather than texts from those interested, I'm old.

Thinking About The Second Gun/s

I'm really enjoying the pcp air gunning and have definitely got the bug. I visit this sight every morning with a cup of espresso as part of my daily routine. I've had a Prod for a while now I bought used from a fellow member. I've done plenty of research on tuning and moding the gun. Currently it has the Bstaley oring mod and does well, good numbers, and the gun shoots exactly where I point it :) I know I can (Why the auto italics?) sink a ton of money into this gun and the consensus I've found is at the end of the day it is still a Prod. Don't get me wrong I do love my Crosman/Benjamin guns. I still use my 1377 and 2240; the Prod has become my go to gun.

New to PCP and kicking off with a bang

What's up fellow airgun nuts. I am known over on Archerytalk and T4R, and now I finally get the privilege to become a member and show off my new PCP here!

Picked up a beastly Brocock Bantam HR Sniper in .22 cal from my cousin over my trusty Daisy Powerline 901 that has been my past control choice for almost 10 years. I probably have eliminated over 1000 house sparrows, starlings, etc. with that trusty little multi-pump but consistency and power were its two main limitations.

Bring on the Brocock. My second 10 shot group ever with it produced a hole in the target so large, my last couple pellets didn't even bother leaving their mark on the paper. (see upper right target, picture below). At 900fps with the ~25gr JSB jumbo, it ripped the pellet good - but the ability to externally adjust power output was a deal maker.

Fast forward to today, after about 2 weeks with the gun:

- I have a Silent Thunder Ordnance Falx in standard flow coming in to tame the bark - really appreciate the extensive testing and physics based R&D with Tesla valves on how he crested his LDC guts.
- I have the Optisan EVX 6-24 turrets figured out to punch holes at 70 and 100yds - just took my first starling st 105yds last night!
- I am looking at picking up a spare mag - anyone using Carm for replacements?
- Also trying to figure out what bipod system to run - I see some guys running an extended picatinny rail to get the bipod further towards the end of the barrel? Concerned about weight over max stability as it's already a beast and I do enjoy hunting with this well constructed lead slinging machine.

SStoked to be here on the forums and looking forward to contributing as well as learning from thr many minds present here!

Small(ish) scope with side focus and MIL/MOA reticle?

I'm looking for a scope with side focus and a Mil-Dot or MOA reticle for my Daystate Huntsman Revere. I would like to put the smallest scope on it that I can in keeping with the sveltness of the Huntsman.
I currently have a Leupold 4X rimfire scope on it, but I'm not satisfied with the lack of adjustable focus and I believe I'm going to need some mil-dots to help with trajectory at different yardages.
Does anyone have any recommendations?

I got my alkin today..

Made the drive to Bakers to pick it up today. Met the guys and gal that was working on a Saturday. Very kind and helpful. I had a great time. Checked out some airrifles and equipment . I got to handle a evol 22 mini... I shouldn't have... man that is one fine rifle!! Super light... looks fantastic.. felt great! I gotta have one someday. I got the compressor wired up and run in. I topped off my tank... wow!! Just WOW!! this thing rocks...

Zero Recoil Zero Play Scope Mount - Sorry Dianna...

Hello,

A few months ago I bought the Gamo Replay 10x IGT springer airgun.
Very powerful and accurate, but this airgun ate 3 different scopes! :-(
The recoil is brutal.

Looking for a solution, I found the Diana Bullseye ZR mount.
Praised by many and quite expensive, but I bought it to see if it really works.
It looked like it worked, but now and then I got some fliers that I could not explain.
I filmed the mount at 240fps and saw that while it protects the riffle from the initial recoil,
the scope returned back and smashed its initial position. Not a very effective design...

So I started a small Arduino project to build a standalone battery powered
high-G recoil meter to measure the actual forces that were exerted on the scopes.
It was not easy because the available accelerometers have a very slow sampling rate
of 1khz and high-G versions were not easy to find. Anyway, the results showed that
the scope felt way more than 400 G! when attached directly on the rail but when put
on the Diana mount, the recoil was indeed less but still considerable.

Many times it reached 400 G. That was when the scope was loosing zero again.

Apart from that, the mount had play and it was centered only on the front with
a conical pin. The accuracy was not bad, but the Gamo without this mount was
more accurate.

Frustrated and after all the money I've spent, I decided to build my own mount from scratch
correcting all the errors that the Diana mount had. The result was not bad!
Maximum g-force exerted was 125 g.
Why they did not build something like that, its beyond me.

Below is a small demonstration.

I hope you like it.
Thanks.

2. Aimsport Alpha 6 2.5-15 X 50 30 mm w/ MRAD reticle illuminated. [SOLD]

This is barely used and works perfectly. Focuses to 10 yards. Full disclosure -- there is a small spec near the top of the reticle -- I tried to show what it looks like in the reticle pic (in green). It's barely noticeable and doesn't affect the performance at all . The scope came that way and I didn't notice it the first couple times I used it, but it's there. Reflected in the price.
