SOLD *** SOLD *** FX Crown Mk II .177 cal / 500 mm Barrel / Walnut Stock - or GRS

So I go through my shooting phases of selling off my .177 guns, buying more of them, etc. And I'm in a selling phase now, so I'm putting my .177 Crown MkII w/500mm barrel up for sale.

I am the original purchaser of this gun (from Pyramyd, order dated 3/29/21, copy of receipt provided for any potential warranty work needed through the 3/29/24 warranty expiration date). As purchased it wore a laminate stock, but one of my local friends wanted that stock on a different Crown she was buying from me, so I sold it to her. The walnut stock is in great shape and while nothing too special it has some nice figure in the wood to keep it from being boring.

I've never had any issues with the gun and it shoots 16.20 Beasts very accurately at the 25 yards where I've tested it, at an average muzzle velocity of 849 fps. Of course since it is a Crown, it can easily be tuned up or down from where it is now.

Gun comes with 3 magazines (including one which is unused/still in package), FX fill adapter, documentation (including copy of original purchase receipt) and, in my opinion, the more usable, open egg-crate foam version of the FX hard case. I'll even throw in a couple of unopened tins of its current favorite pellets.

SCOPE AND RINGS SHOWN IN PICS NOT INCLUDED IN THE LISTED PRICE.

This is not a fire sale - If gun doesn't sell for my listed price, I'll buy a .22 380mm barrel kit for it and have a 'fun gun' Crown. And I'll still have all of the .177 stuff available so that I can go back to that caliber when the itch strikes again. ;)

I'm asking $1,450 shipped (CONUS) via PayPal 'Friends'. Not particularly looking for any trades.

Let me know if interested, want any more info or pics, etc., through AGN PM. This gun is only listed on the AGN Member Classifieds.

Thanks,
Tom

PS: If you want this gun but would prefer to purchase it in a Green Mountain Laminate, Right Hand GRS stock (clean, but not perfect) instead of the walnut stock, that can be done for a $250 upcharge.

After swearing I was done buying guns, then...

On Thursday I bought a 25 cal. Impact M3 with 700mm barrel. For a starting point I tuned it to shoot 25.39 JSB pellets at 930 FPS. Now I need a break in the weather so I can get back to the dairy for some real testing.

In all fairness to me, I traded in another gun to help pay for it, so my total gun count stayed the same at seven:
IMG_0567.jpg

So I'm a newb and I turned a knob...

I purchased an FX Dreamline tactical from Utah Airguns 10/2020. I've never had any issues with it but I also recognized my own limitations when it comes to "tinkering" or repairing things.

I was watching AEAC Vlog's video on tuning the Dreamline. It's really a great informative video but gave me a false sense of competency that frankly, I don't possess. I turned the external hammer spring knob from where it was set by Utah Airguns (MAX) to one below. It felt "gritty" to me but that may just be the mechanical nature of the hammer spring I'm not sure.

Regardless... I couldn't get the external hammer spring adjustment knob to return to "MAX". Consequently, I did what I always do in moments like that and panicked. If one unsuccessful rotation to the left was good surely more would be better. Now my external hammer spring control is sitting at "E" and it feels like it's a rock. I'd like to return that knob back to "MAX".

It occurred to me that perhaps the issue is that it's under pressure, so do I need to degas my airgun to adjust the tension on the hammer spring? In the video, it appears that he is able to adjust his easily while it's under pressure so I'm not sure. I haven't degassed the gun yet. I think that's going to be next on my agenda but I don't think that's going to be the solution to returning it to its original settings.

Probably the airgun needs maintenance that I haven't done which is freaking me out.

AirgunWorld Ma

*AIRGUN NEWS*
Hot off the press from The Gun Trade Association.
Following last year's consultation on Firearms Safety, today the Government issued its response. The headlines are:
Airguns are not to be licensed, nor will the exemption for 14-17 year olds possessing airguns on private land with consent be removed.
'Reasonable precautions' for the safe storage of airguns will be clarified. This will require locking an airgun out of sight when not in use if under-18s are on the premises and keeping ammunition separately.
The Government will work with the Trade to improve the safe keeping and handling of airguns, to ensure that home security devices are supplied with all new airguns, and that dealers explain the importance of secure handling and storage to purchasers of new airguns at the point of sale.

Why are all the GOOD looking springers discontinued??

-Diana 340 N-Tec
-Diana 430L
-BSA Lightning XL SE
-Basically any Stutzen/Mannlicher styled rifle
-Walther LGV or LGU
-Etc.

There are some obvious exceptions, but in the $600 and under bracket, almost everything looks like a 2x4 with a barrel put on it. Every time I run across a new-to-me springer that’s reasonably priced and looks really good, I find it’s been discontinued! Is the golden age of attractively sculpted stocks and well-formed actions a thing of the past?!

New Steyr LG 110 Regulator

Hi,
I am a proud owner of Steyr LG 110 FT version! Unfortunately, the regulator is begining to perform bad lately and needs to be replaced. When I leave the rifle even for a short period of time without using it, it takes me about 10-15 shots to get it to the right velocity. Anyway, I must buy a new regulator, but I don't know how and where. I've tried pilkguns.com, and I believe all the European retailers, like Benke, Mundilar, Euroshooting but still no response from any of them. Do you know, where I can find spare parts and a new regulator for my Steyr. It is a top-quality rifle and it's quite frustrating that I cannot find parts for it. I am relatively new to this forum and just recently got into the FT life here in the States and don't know anyone who could help me with the technical issues that might occur. Well, actually I know someone: David Slade - God bless him, a great gentleman and a flawless gunsmith and shooter as well, who helped me a lot with my Pro Target.
Thank you, guys! I will be very grateful for any advice that you could give me regarding the Steyr regulator!

Screws for Impact M3 bottom rail?

Ok Impact guru's I've got a quick question.

I've swapped out the bottom rail so many times that I forgot if all the screws should be the same length or not?

I just swapped out the Scandanavian Arms rail for the K&L Gen 3 rail and I noticed that 2 of the 4 screws are shorter than the other 2. The 2 shorter screws don't bite much. I'm thinking the SA rail may have come with 2 shorter screws, but I can't remember (and I don't see any spare screws laying around).

Are all your screws the same length?

Which LDC would be the quietest on a Daystate Revere in 25 cal.

I am considering buying a Daystate Revere in 25 cal and noise is a concern as I have neighbors on 3 sides. Open field on the other, where I shoot. I have the Huntsman Regal in 22 cal and love it and now want a 25 cal. I want to keep it as quite as possible so as not to bother any one. Any one out there with the Revere in 25 and what do you have on it?

4 weeks + 4 winners = 120 BOXES of slugs from NSA - week 3

The replies & pictures from the week 2 event were awesome! Let's keep 'em going for week 3.

Nielsen Specialty Ammo, Inc has been at the leading edge of American made, high quality, affordable airgun ammunition since 2015. The family owned company operates out of Labadie, Missouri where customer service is a full time job for Nick and 3 of his 5 children, plus two daughter-in-laws. NSA distributes their products direct to consumers, through distributers within the USA, as well as a growing distributor network throughout the world.

In cooperation with Nielsen Specialty Ammo, we're hosting a very special giveaway, actually 4 of them! To thank you for making NSA the most popular slugs in the USA, Nick would like to give back by offering 4 individual winners 30 boxes of any small caliber slugs. That's not a typo! It can be all one slug, or 30 different ones. That's $659 worth of slugs to each winner!

All you have to do is reply below with a few kind words or pictures. Each week we will pick a winner based on the thread # (using a random number generator).

Week 3 begins now and ends July 22nd.

ATTENTION PARTICIPANTS:
*Slugs must be in stock (most of them are anyways), and from .17 cal to .303 cal. NSA only ships to addresses within the USA, therefore this giveaway is open to participants within the United States only (void where prohibited). In order to participate in these events, you'll need to be a member of Airgun Nation (so you can submit a reply). Multiple entries by the same contestant will result in disqualification. Claimants must be 18 years of age or older. If you are below the age of 18 and win, you may have an adult, parent, or adult legal guardian claim the prize on your behalf. Prizes must be claimed within 7 days of the event’s end. Winners will be responsible for all state/federal taxes and must provide a completed W9.

**Please do NOT subscribe to email notifications from this topic or you will receive an email alert every time someone submits a guess!**

Shooting With Glasses

I got put in progressive lenses a couple years back. Tried using contacts as well and wasn't happy, ended up having carry cheaters with me to see up close. Ditched the contacts this past winter and have been happy but this is the first time I've done any shooting. I wear small-frame Oakleys and to be able to see through the leans I have to raise my head up to look through the scope. Hard to get the right eye relief and get a consistent position and cheek weld. i obviously need bigger lenses. I'm thinking of just going with bifocals rather than progressives because I don't see much need for mid-range in shooting glasses. Love to have feedback from anyone else that's dealt with this. Is getting contacts for shooting a better choice? Found several discussions on shooting with glasses but everyone seemed to be far sighted which is opposite my problem. I can see iron sights just fine and I can actually shoot through the scope with glasses off but with AO scope it screws the yardage up quite a bit. Thanks.
