Griffin Airgun Ammo

I've checked out the selection of slugs for Griffin in 177 and does don't have LDC balls in them. I'd like to think that they still expand a lot, but their HP isn't too big from the looks of the website.
Let me know if you do try the 177 of other types form Griffin. Id like to try some in my Huntsman.

Im an idiot. I thought you were asking me. Didnt realize wanted the 177. I don't imagine there's enough room. I think the poly ball in .22 is damn near 3.5mm that leave walls so thin in a 177. Even though the LDS are way longer than comparable slugs of their weight.

Griffin Airgun Ammo

Anything above 740 gets it warping and expanding. Anything above 800 opens it up, above 825 gets mushroomed.. 920 is the max I've pushed one this far. I have a DRS and Barra250z currently on the way, I plan on using the 19 Or 21gr LDC at insanely high velocity as my main projectile for squirrel and rabbit. I know the Drs will be fine as the superior 1:24 groups them better than pellets in my notos and crown. I'm a definite believer.

Garmin Xero C1 Pro!

I just wrote a reply after seeing someone ask about it on my feed, but I thought I would take a second to write what I thought and how it worked and all the pro's I saw. Also for the price point being a 2-300 less than the FX Chrony I thought this info might be useful to some of you guys.

Sooooooo, I recently started using the Garmin Xero C1 Pro with my PCP air rifle, and I have to say, it’s completely changed the way I shoot. . My goal was simple: I wanted a setup that could help me be more consistent at varying ranges without all the guesswork of holdovers and using separate tools. After using it for a while now, I can confidently say it’s been worth every penny.

At first, I wasn’t sure how well the Xero would pair with my PCP rifle, but it’s surprisingly intuitive. The Xero mounts easily and functions as both a rangefinder and a holdover calculator. Once I calibrated it for my rifle, it became my go-to tool for improving accuracy. It ranges targets instantly—just press a button, and you get the exact distance. No fumbling for a separate rangefinder or trying to estimate the range by eye. Then, using that distance and the data you’ve programmed, it provides a precise aiming point. It takes into account your pellet’s trajectory, so you don’t have to guess or calculate holdovers in your head. For someone like me who used to hesitate taking shots past 125-150 yards, it’s been a total confidence booster.

One of the features I love most is the ability to set up multiple profiles. I’ve got one profile for my .22 PCP rifle and another for my .30 cal. Switching between them is seamless, so whether I’m out hunting or just plinking at the range, the Xero adapts to what I need. It’s like having a personalized ballistics expert with me at all times.

The biggest improvement I’ve noticed is in my accuracy, especially at longer distances. Before using the Xero, I’d sometimes misjudge holdover and end up with frustrating misses. Now, I can trust the data it gives me and focus entirely on my shot. It’s also a huge time saver, especially when I’m hunting. Instead of spending precious seconds figuring out range and trajectory, I can range, aim, and shoot quickly and confidently. In fact, it’s been a game-changer for small game hunting. I’ve had clean, ethical shots at distances I wouldn’t have even attempted before.

That said, setting it up took less than 2 minutes. Calibrating it to my air rifle was easy just plug and play, once I got it dialed in, it’s been rock solid. I’d recommend taking your time during setup to ensure everything is accurate—you’ll thank yourself later. And yes, the Xero isn’t cheap, but it sure as hell beats the 800+ price range of its competition, but for anyone serious about precision shooting, it’s absolutely worth the investment. It’s like having an entire shooting system built into a compact device.

As we all know a chronograph is a must with Airguns so i highly highly recommend the Xero, usually im skeptical when something is priced lower than the comp but, Garmin is reliable as a company so I gave it a shot and it's been worth it. I’m curious if anyone else here has tried the Xero or something similar with their PCP setup. How has it worked for you? Let’s share tips and experiences—I’d love to hear what others think!

Benjamin  My other first PCP - Donated Gen 1 Maruader .25

You got gifted a great starter rifle. I took have a gen 1 25 cal. It's got all sorts of goodies. And the stock was reshaped as well. I defined mine to shoot the Hades at 710-725 fps (roughly 35 fpe) and inside 30-35 yards it is a squirrel killer. Keep us posted.

Garmin Chrono.....first thoughts

I just picked up a Garmin Xero from a shop online (Thegpsstore.com) and I can't believe how easy to use, accurate, and reliable it was. I have the FX Chrono the bigger grey one and the base plate cracked, sometimes if its not pointed 100% at the target it wont read correctly (which sucks when your shooting rifles and its getting pushed from concussion just a fraction of an inch each time) especially on firearms. But after a day of shooting my HMx1000, my Dynamic and a handful of long rifles (with and without suppressors) I was extremely impressed.

LIttle sad i didn't wait for the black friday deals butttttt if your in the market I would 100% pick one up asap.

I

I am normally indifferent towards wood and laminate stocks, but I really like the colors on that one. That is pretty.

A month? Are they making them to order? It is kind of cool, if they are. It looks like it will be worth the wait.
Yah, I'm the same way. I would rather have a chassis.
This one caught my eye !

I'm just going by the dates on this thread from the time ROB said he ordered and from when he posted he received it.
Also from the videos I watched about Form they looked like a small ish company.

I will definitely share pics and quality when I get it !

Immersive 5x30 pro springer rated?

It's an Element 5x30 on ProSport, not an IO 5x30 Pro on a TX200, but basically identical scopes and rifles. I did not look through his postings to see if his ProSport is sub-12 or FAC.

Here is his YouTube Channel. He posts on the UK Airgun Forums as RammersandTwangers.

Pretty sure he's had that scope on that springer for over a year now.

Where did you order your IO from? Or did you find one second hand here in the US?

Umarex  Umarex Zelos Best upgrades

Have you tried making a K baffle design. Not sure if it would be effective as a 3d part i would think as a carbon blend filament you can make som unique textures on the outside wall to absorb like sound proofing. I wish i was skilled in 3d printing I would love to play around with this stuff

I have tried All kinds of different designs. With the area of the shroud being so small I did not notice any difference with any of the different designs. So I went with the ones that are the easiest to print and Strongest.

Here you can find everything I make for the Zelos. https://www.bravo3d.com/collections/umarex

Added weight for benchrest shooting.

The new scope is an Athlon Argos 10-40 SFP. I like it but I don't like it when my poi seems to move. Sometimes it is me holding the gun differently but once or twice on a target of 20 shots I have to rezero.
If your POI is changing enough on one target to have to zero again, something isn't quite right. Do you know if your velocity was reasonably consistent during the target string? If you know that your hold was consistent, and that nothing is amiss with the scope, I don't know what else in might be other than a gain or loss of velocity. I would try another scope, just to eliminate it as the issue.
