Projectile bad in short range but good for long?

Hello! I was watching a video on YouTube, and the man said that there are pellets/slugs that perform poorly at close range but perform well at long range, and that they can stabilize with distance.
Is that possible?
Because if a pellet/slug doesn't group well at close range, it will be even worse at long range, since it's already destabilized up close, and this would only get worse with more distance, right?

FX  FX Impact M4 - 700mm & 800mm question

Hi,

Does anyone know if the new FX Impact M4 700mm or 800mm versions come with a built in barrel tension clamp / block as standard from the factory ?

I read somewhere they did, although I can find no reference to this, but I notice the FX website does not list this as an upgrade / accessory on their website, this would make sense if it has one built in already, but not if it isn't.

Could an owner of one of these models clarify this for me ?

Thanks in advance

Crosman  Help for a beginner

So I just recently purchased a Crossman rifle .177 caliber to do some rodent control, and I read that the pointed steel pellets work great with this rifle. Well I purchased the daisy .177 caliper steel pointed pellets 250 CT. I load the rifle and pumped it released the safety, pulled the thing on the side I forget what it's called and aimed and pulled the trigger, nothing came out. I checked and the pellets look it was mangled but it just sits there but it will not shoot out! Am I doing something wrong or are these pellets not meant for this rifle? Please help. This is my first time owning one!

FX  Dynamic cocking lever screw stripped?

What are my options to be able to remove this screw if the head seems to have been rounded?
I'm fine with it being right handed i would like to be able to still change it in the future.

Edit: not sure why the picture won't upload but I was talking about the 2 carrier screw that holds the cocking lever in place. After doing more research and more videos on YouTube, it turns out it could have been a torx screw... Wow instructions unclear. I'll just leave it right handed, one day when I disassemble this thing I'll worry about it then.

Anyways I'll edit this again today. 9/11/24
Turns out those carrier screw the one on top through the picatinny rails and the one in the rear holding the back of the cocking lever are indeed torx head. T7 torx to be exact. I'm lucky it wasn't actually stripped but there needs to be an update in the manual or those 2 YouTube videos showing how to do the swap. The one circled was locktite in. Just info for anyone left handed new to the dynamic block.

I finally got it swapped to the left side, feels so much better.

FX  Fx Impact M3

So, got the m3 to shoot and the air had all leaked down. Refilled to find a leak at the adjustment for the power plenum pressure and no pressure at the third reg. Replaced o rings in the pressure adjustment for the plenum reg, refilled with air and now there’s no leak but still no pressure at the power plenum reg.

Benjamin  Marauder .25 power tune

I tuned my marauder for high power it has a custom 15 in barrel and the valve modified the throat to .266 and ports through valve and barrel is .220 still using the stock trasnfer port. And using a 16 pound heavy hammer spring. But for some reason i still get valve lock on 3100 psi and it says I'm only pushing 30 grain pellets at 810 fps on the chrony now that was very cloudy this morning so maybe it wasn't reading right hammer adjustment is maxed out for power and vms screw opened all the way up. I'm very confused why it would valve lock with that big of spring.

Daystate  Alpha wolf slow first shot

Well as the title says my alpha wolf has a slow first shot. Anytime the ecu powers off, when I cycle the safety and shoot the first shot is 20-50fps slower than my setting. Both in factory mode and, it will do the same in the advanced mode. Has anyone experienced this? It shots great after the first shot. I bought the gun used from airguns of Arizona and the test card they sent with the gun shows the same thing. This happens if i set the power off to 1 min it'll still do it with the reg pressure reading 122bar where it is set so it's not a regular pressure problem. Any thoughts?

New to PCP's, how to go about getting slugs for .457

So I purchased a AEA Max Terminator, and I'm looking to buy molds to keep costs down.
So when going about doing this, when I get the airgun (as it's currently on backorder 3-6 months), do I simply get a micrometer and mic it from the end of the barrel and make slugs based off that?
As I have read each barrel is going to be slightly different, and for making slugs it's important to get it right.
As well, is there any molds that you can do basically like an FMJ slug? I've seen some online where they have steel sharp tips on top of the lead that apparently are super accurate, but also super expensive. And for myself, I enjoy running alot of rounds through my tool, so that I know just how it handles, how it shoots, familiarity with it, and with each slug. So I'd like to run a lot through it so it's not very cost efficient to buy $500 in ammo to get only 500 rounds ya know.

FX  FX Dreamline Classic- Hammer Spring Adjustment

As some of you surely know, there is no external hammerspring adjustment on the Classic and its trial and error. I want to get mine to an intermediate setting and wondering if there is a fixed number of revolutions between all the way out and all the way in without over stressing the spring. Then I cold back out a certain number of turns as a starting point. Bought the gun with reg at 125+ bar and shooting 18.1’s at 910- 920 fps. Want to get it to 860- 880 by turning reg to 1110- 115 and HS adjustment. Appreaciate any insights.

New Weihrauch HW95L Field Pro

After many, many hours on the internet researching air guns I finally ordered a Weihrauch HW95L Field Pro in .22 which includes a Weihrauch 3x9x40 scope.
I also got 250 H@N field target trophy .22 pellets with the rifle. Logan at Air Guns of Arizona took the time to answer my questions and recommend a gun
for me. I am retired now with two young grandchildren and hope I can shoot with them when they are old enough. I have not used an air gun since I was
10 years old and graduated to a 22 rimfire. I am a lifelong gun enthusiast and have more guns than any one person probably needs. So, this is a new hobby
for me now. Any recommendations on pellets for the HW95L? We have 10 acres of woods on the edge of town and are incorporated into the city so an air gun
will be great for pests and plinking. Thank you. Jim Rutledge Effingham, IL

AEA  Bintac T9 air leaking

Hello all, new guy here; this is my first post!

I am the proud owner of a Bintac T9 - I have had her since June 29 (purchased on the 15th). My pistol has had a full tin of 9mm pellets - the ones that came with the gun - fired through it with ZERO operational issues.

This last time I took her out to the range was no different. cycled through both mags multiple times with no issues.

When I got home, I decided to dump the rest of the air in one of my small refill tanks into the T9. After doing so, I heard a hissing noise, and could hear it through the barrel. I looked at the air gauge and it was at the border of green and red - so plenty. The hissing would not go away - gun was not cocked. I pulled out the charging (cocking) lever a teeny bit, and noticed the hissing to get louder.

Within 5 minutes all the air leaked out.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance,

-Marlon
