Thanks to my bad leg I will be having a lot of extra time to play in my backyard This summer. I’m New With slugs. just got my king in the mail was wondering Which slugs should I try first?
I’ve been reading lotta good things about altaros but when I went to the website, I noticed that there is so many sizes. Is there a specific Size for the fx barrel. which ones should I try?
Also, if there is any other kind should I try?

Hey guys, I know the words budget and thermal typically don't go in the same sentence, but if I'm limited to a spend of 2k at most, would i be able to get something decent enough for hunting small/medium game up to 100 yards? I recently purchased a Snowpeak M25 cal. 7.62 and I have a question. Should this caliber have the piece called hammer? (number 51 in the image) The calibers 4.5, 5.5 and 6.32 do have it, but mine does not. I think maybe only calibers smaller than 7.62 have it. (Or maybe they forgot to put it)
Can someone solve my doubt?

I'm going through the process of ordering some o-rings. Everything has been easy enough to source from Oringsandmore. Finding Buna 70 13.95 x 2.62mm o-rings, however, have been difficult. These ones are close but not ideal. Anyone know of a reliable place I can easily get some of these?

Hey peoples how's everyone doing. I just got into PCPs about 3 weeks ago. I picked up a Gamo Arrow and it shoots great using Crosman Premier 14.3g .22 hollow points. I decided to grab an Avenger, DonyFL 1/2 20 UNF adapter/barrel stabilizer, Tanto moderator, Saber Tactical upgraded pic rails and a descent compressor. I finished putting it all together, filled her to about 3500 PSI and took it out. I'm shooting the same 14.3g Crosman hollow points I shoot from my break barrels and from my Gamo Arrow, and I can see the pellet start to spiral at about 20 yards. I'm only shooting to 50 at the most, 9 times out of 10. At 50 I'm having to hold down 2 mil in my scope and left 1mil. The pellets land right on top of each other, nearly. I tried dropping the regulator down to 1300 PSI and no preload tension on the HS to 1 1/2 turn in on the HS. Also, many 1/4 turns between. I couldn't get the velocity below 880. Do I need to run a heavier pellet to get rid of the spiraling. None of my other guns spiral at all that I can see and hold excellent groups. Sub MOA at 50 yards so 1/2" groups. If a heavier pellet is the answer does anyone have any recommendations? There are so many choices. Oh, to add, I clean my pellets, dry them well and lube them with REM Oil. A very thin coat, they aren't dripping wet with lubrication. I don't know, I've found cleaning and lubing like this works very well for me. Thanks

Happy Friday! Hope everyone had a nice week! I have a question, I was about to sell my s45 but wanted to make sure it was in tip top shape before mailing it out. I went to a warehouse to perform some dry fire tests and it seems to not be firing in semi auto, only 1 shot before needing to pull the charging handle. Has anyone else experienced this issue/have a potential remedy? I took a video which I uploaded below. Also I think this was shot at about 2.6k psi, maybe as low as 2.2k.

FYI This could potentially be user error. I literally only ever shot this gun once prior and that was like ~1yr ago.

Posted this in the "how to fix ghost regulator" thread, but not getting any feedback, so thought I would try a new thread.
I am having an air leak issue, and can't seem to locate where it is, and suspect it may be from the regulator. A couple of questions. When I unscrew the bottle from the gun, all of the air leaks out of the gun itself. It doesn't hold the pressure as the video shows. I also notice what "looks" like rusty gunk on the bottle valve and on the port on the gun that screws into the bottle. Is this from rust, or is it just brown grease from the factory? And what would cause all of the air to evacuate from the gun when the bottle is unscrewed (the bottle itself doesn't appear to leak)?
Brand new Ghost by the way. For the price paid, I don't feel like a should have to disassemble and replace seals on a brand new gun. However, if it is a very simple fix, and the brown gunk is just grease, I could live with that. If it is rust, I worry what the other internals look like.

Hello, All, my first post: Have a Umarex Fusion 2. Have looked at a bunch of YouTube videos on conversion to PCP but would like to ask the experts here their opinions of this particular conversion idea.: the idea is simply to remove the double CO2 chamber, and replace it with this pressurized tube shown in the link. The tube in the link is rated for 3000psi and should be fine for this particular gun. Maybe add a regulator to it also. This below is a "cut and paste" link to AliExpress and have bought several items through them with zero problem.

Recommendations for non-PCP pistol or light carbine for back yard, residential, rats. Would like to mount an optic of some type, so recommendations needed for that also; moderator also.

I bought a BRK Sniper XR in .22 about a year ago locally here from Airguns of AZ (lucky to have them so close.) It’s been great, zero issues. I’ve recently put a AGM Rattler thermal scope on it and been shooting rats. Next level fun.

At the time I bought it I knew very little about PCPs and didn’t really know what I wanted. Now I do.

I want a Ghost because that’s all I know. But it has all the “wants” I’d like to have. Can you give me advice on other guns I should be looking at? AOA, while fantastic, doesn’t carry many of the brands I see listed here and often praised.

Here’s my “wants” in order of importance.

1) Size. Must be a bullpup or smaller. Had I known how important a very compact package would be in my current endeavors I’d have bought a bullpup. This is my #1 requirement and my #1 regret with the XR. With the XR and moderator it’s very long. AOA guys talked me into the Sniper XR (and it was good advice at the time) but I wish I’d have know about the ghost at the time. They did well because I went to buy an Akela. If the XR were in a compact bullpup config I wouldn’t be posting.

2). Weight. With the thermal and sometimes a bipod the XR gets a bit heavy. Lighter the better, but I’ll make concessions here for other qualities. Needs to be able to be easily fired while standing, shoulder fired.

3) Power adjustments are important (possibly including barrel changes for length/fps). I would like to be able to change velocities being that Im shooting in my backyard. Sometimes the XR punches through a few more “things” than I wish it did. At the same time I want to shoot ring neck doves at the dairies, so I need the higher power as well.

4) Shot capacity. Not so critical, but 10 round magazines like the XR would be fine, doesn’t need to be semi. No single shot.

5) Shots per fill. More is better, but I have a tank from AOA and they’re only 7 miles away. Do prefer the look of the CF vs aluminum “on gun” tanks (not sure what they’re called?).

6) Available mods. So I have a lathe and milling machine and own dozens of firearms. I don’t think any of them are “stock.” So I was a bit disappointed to see how little the BRKs can be modified. It’s kind of what I do, I tinker, modify and play with my toys usually until they’re perfected or broken....both expensive directions.


Forgot to add that it needs to be quiet, very quiet. I have a moderator on my BRK and it’s insanely quiet, but without it, the neighbors may call. (I can legally shoot in my backyard according to city regs, I’ve checked.)

I’d appreciate any advice on pcps I may not know about that would fit this bill. I also really liked the RTI Prophet I looked at FWIW. What in the FX lineup would be comparable? AGT? Taipan?

Caliber would be .22. If I’ve forgotten something LMK.

I have two slug capable PCPs (a .22/700 Impact MK2 and a .22/700 Panthera) and I'm considering setting up to swage my own slugs.

It's currently winter in Canada and too cold to test for the best diameter but because of delivery lead time I'd like to order the Corbin press and a set of dies to have them available for the outdoor shooting season.

I realize that every airgun and barrel may have it's own preferences but I'm trying to see if there is a general trend to .217 or .218 size in FX barrels.

Right now I'm thinking to buy .218 diameter dies and buy/make a sizing die if I find I need a smaller diameter slug.

I'd appreciate if you could post what barrels, slugs and diameters are working best for you.

Any reason why they don't seem to sell pellets or slugs in bulk ? I haven't seen anything larger than 200 for 30 cal. Or if some can point me in the right direction.

Hi, i just bough my first airgun the, Air Ventura avenger and i cant seem to fill the tank because the female to male adaptor piece is leaking air. I have tried two different female to male adaptors and both have the same issue. Is this just suppose to happen? am i missing something? it leaks from the end part that connects to the gun it self. sorry if this was not clear thanks for any help

Hi this is my first post Hi everyone.
I have a hill EC300 compressor and today for some reason it won't fill my tank is running and making all the correct noises but will not put air in the tank .
I have used it for 10 hours its not the first thing that's gone wrong with it but if anyone has any ideas I would be very grateful.
