I just bought the first-gen Barra, and they just released a new version, the Gen 2.

I wanted to modify my Barra by getting a more powerful motor and other gears.

But now my question is:

Is it worth buying those gears and the motor, or should I just get the new Barra 400e Gen 2

Just received a beautiful Akela .177 from airgun revisions. The barrel shroud is a little loose and even my smallest Allen wrenches won't fit. Would someone be able to tell me what size Allen key fits the grub screws on the barrel shroud?

Okay, I know what the specs online say and what the Crosman claims on the box BUT, I am not interested in any of that. I want to know what the numbers are in the real world.
Although their advertised FPS in .177 is impressive (with alloy pellets) what are you guys actually seeing when you shoot one through your chronographs? And more importantly, how much power is that coming out to in FT/IBS. AND, what is giving more power? .177 or .22, even if .22 is moving at slower velocities?

What is the best air pistol with power to carry for self defence.

Hi guys - I have a fairly OTB Notos I got a couple months back - I've only made a couple easy mods - Opened up the regulator 1/4 turn, polished the trigger mechanism (super smooth pull now) lowered its tension, and then drove in the hammer spring all the way in. Aside from cleaning with the patch worm and adding a picatinny barrel grip & bipod, not much else is modified. I'm dead nuts around 15-20 yds (My favorite perch is out the kitchen window, at about 20-30 degree angle down to a target setup at 15yds & a 4-panel of targets on plywood out right at 40 yds.) -
Anyhow - I've been tweaking cause i have issues with the 40+ yds grouping. Being dead center at 20, I go out to the 40yd, and first shot nearly always strays - but then I'll have the subsequent shots anywhere but bullseye. It's kind of random, too - around 4" apart from each other, some a bit high, some a bit low, and left or right. I can sometimes see the pellet pop out of the barrel and arc down to the target. I'd hoped by opening up the regulator and hammer spring i'd get more of a shot on a rope, but not the case. It did pretty well suck my air supply down too - I still get about 35 shots in from 3,500psi before it starts hitting red though. I'm shooting Diabolo 18gr pellets, which I read in this thread are the pick for accuracy - and don't think it's the pellet I'm chasing.
Is the gain I'd get from a mod drop block & plenum with an upsized canister enough to be considering as the culprit here? I've seen many posts with 50yds being no problem for guys - so hoping maybe it's just the pressure I need to push a little harder? I did clean the barrel a couple times so far, last time just a couple of days ago. If anyone has some thoughts on it, mods maybe even not requiring purchases I'd appreciate that a lot. Hello all. What tools or gadgets do you guys use to install these very tiny o rings such as for regulators. I had to replace some o ring in a regulator about a year ago and those damn things are a pain. I got it on eventually after tearing up two and its all good now. So just wondering if you guys use anything that would make replacing these tiny o rings easier.

Has anyone heard where when JTS is coming out with their underlever? Feel like it was debuted at shot show or something a year or so ago. Love the ammo just need the (another) gun and had hoped to add the JTS springer to the collection.

What velocity have you found works best? Similar to most slugs high 900 - 1000 fps?

Also regarding FX liners... do they shoot better out of a standard liner or a heavy liner?

A friend gave me this to see about resealing the manometer. It’s not your typical gauge with a small oring.
I’d like to find an extension & or adapter for the threaded barrel, and a QD FF for him.
If Rich Dudek can do it I would gladly bring it & a few other ones down to him. I figured I might have to obtain the kit of rings and parts on my own. Might need a custom Clague also.

First off i wanna thank everyone for all their helpful advice on assisting me to buy my first pcp gun. and of course the inner "bro" in me got me to ignore most of the guns with good track records, instead i opted for something that "looked cool" lol. hey i get performance is important but i also think getting a gun just cuz it looks cool isnt necessarily bad either. im sure i will buy plenty of these in the future so im not too worried about it.

Anyways the for my first gun i ended up going with a hatsan sortie in 25 cal. got it for a pretty good price and it came with a vortex crcossfire optic so i decided to "pull the trigger" lol. So for those who have used the sortie, what type of pellets should i be feeding this thing for maximum penetration? Can i shoot 25 cal slugs in this thing? any advice about this gun is welcomed. should be coming in like a week. thanks everyone!!

So I have This Scope and im looking for flip up covers. I measured (roughly) the diameter of the housing of the objective and eyepiece lenses. eye piece is 43mm obj is 55mm. I was looking at These covers and im not sure if they wouuld fit or not since the eyepiece measured around 43mm. but as i said those are rough measurements. I couldnt find my calipers and had to use a ruler and so those are rough measurements. im thinking maybe the eye piece is ACTUALLY 44mm and my measurement was off a bit. Does anyone have the Hammers 4-12x40 and know what size flip ups i need? TIA.

I inquired about one of the guys guns that was there and he offered to sell me one of his . It is a Virgin Model 54 with no scope .
It has a maple stock and by the pictures looks pretty good he said it was around a 2008 -10
I would like to know what they are worth this one looks like a 8 out of a 10 maybe .

I am about to undertake my first reseal job on a vintage Pioneer G6435 Chinese Air Pistol. I know the seals will be leather, but I do not know what size the seals may be. After I take it apart and take my measurements, is there a recommemded tool for punching out the various sizes I may need? I do not want to use scissors LOL.

HI everyone.
I am having an issue with my Chronograph reading too fast, I think? While I am waiting for a replacement I need some help. My .22 Avenger reg is set at 1700 psi with "0" hammer spring and I am reading 955 fps shooting 18.13gr. JSB heavies. This is my 2nd Avenger and from what I have experienced before at those settings, I should be seeing maybe 750fps-ish. Normally I would need to run 2200 to 2400 psi, and 2 to 4 turns in on the hammer spring to get 950fps.

If you have an Avenger, what should the following settings give in f.p.s. roughly?

JSB 18.13's, 1800 reg, 2 turns in h.s.

JSB 15.89 Hades 1600 reg, 0 turns in h.s.

H&N Cuda s 2400reg, 3 turns in h.s.

Can that handle and stabilize 21-25gr slugs fine as is? All the ads I see say "for heavy slugs" on the "heavy" liner. Is all that is different the twist? Or is it left unchoked?

One thought I can't get out of my head. Every single Lothar Walther or CZ Barrel is 1 :17.7 give or take. How can 1:24 which doesn't bite into the projectile as much sufficiently stabilize traditional slugs?

Ok, I found one of these rifles. It looks to be in good shape. Holding air and oil in little window. I can buy these rifle in 25cal plus an 177cal pcp. for $650. I want to resale these rifles or trade to get something I want. Can anyone tell me what the conquest currently sell for? I only see two on web for sale. But it didn’t have dates on post so don’t know if they were current.(1,700-2,500) should buy?

I have a black bunker bm8. Anyone have a suggestion on what scope or red dot to put on it. Have a BSA 3-9 and it seams to wonder some when trying to group different pellets.

Anyone know the factory hammer spring setting ? Also how much adjustment is there in turns ? I have found past 2 turns will not let bolt go far enough back to set the hammer.

After a shot I went to reload and arrow would not go on the cylinder so I looked down the cylinder and saw this poking out from the bottom of gold piece that screws on the end of the cylinder/shaft that you slide the arrow on. I took the gold piece off and removed the white piece (pictured) and it slides on fine. The shots after removing this piece were hitting allot lower. I'm not sure what this piece is and if it is part of the gun or arrow itself so can someone please let me know?

Does BC change based on speed of bullet or is it constant regardless of speed?

I am in need of a sub-$200 dollar springer rated scope for my RWS Diana Model 48/52. I believe this is considered a magnum air rifle, so I want something that can handle its heavy recoil. I have heard good things about Hawke and Hammers scopes, but want a second opinion before proceeding with a purchase. Right now, my only criteria is $200 or less.
