Zeroing the scope

I got myself a 800fps air gun and a optic(Beeman 3-9X40).But no matter how much I try, the pellet wont hit the target.I tried to zero the scope but no matter how much I turn the dial on the bottom right (The dial which which is used to change the direction from left to right) the pellet wont hit the target.

I would alawys hit the pellet about 4 inches left from the target.,I tried turning the dial right(about 20-30 clicks, when 2 or 3 clicks didnot work) but still the pellet will the same spot, eventhough I turned the dial to the right.
Why wont the pellet hit to the target no matter how much I turn the dial to the right. The horizontal height is correct so I dont need to change the dial on the top of the scope.

Am I doing something wrong?

Daystate  air wolf classic tuning help

Hi,

Retired last year and finally got to repair my old Air wolf .177. It is an original. I had to put it in the closet for about 10+ years. it was fussy and consumed too much time.

So this is the first version with just the electronic trigger. Bought it used , and it is an extra FAC . Anyway , new battery , new seals
good cleaning and it works but has shot like garbage mostly. I bought a Huma reg and installed.

I Tried the huma at higher setting 140 bar , no resolution on the electronic settings, Just dialed it down to 110 , still the lowest setting is the best for accuracy. Any thing higher and the group open up. I plan on getting the 120-125 huma suggests.

Some problems with consistency, I shoot near 1 moa and then it opens opens up. It only shoots decent on the lowest electronic power setting.
I am thinking it is way over powered for accurate shooting, I am considering now replacing the main valve spring with something heavier if nothing else to give me resolution on the electronic power setting. Current one is about 13.3 in-lb, thinking of at least tripling it.

I did polish the barrel , it did help and tightened the groups. The barrel was loaded with lead dust and wax .

Even 10 + years ago , it never really shot all that well.

Just wondering if anyone else has made the journey here. advice appreciated.

RAW Rapid  First time RAW owner with some questions

I received my .25 RAW Hm1000x yesterday and I have a few questions.

I did a search, and it looks like there are a couple different answers but the 480cc carbon tank says it's good to 250bar but the manual says to only fill to 230bar. It's no big deal to only fill to 230 if that is what the specs call for, but I did see some people that said the reg and the tank can both handle 250bar without a problem.

I ordered a left-hand rifle because I will only be shooting benchrest and wanted the cocking lever on the left side. On the left hand rifles the fill port is actually on the left side of the rifle but I would rather have it on the right side. From the vids I have watched it looks like you can just remove the tank and flip the port and gauge around, so they are on the opposite sides, is that correct?

Last question is what moderator should I go with to quiet this rifle down some? Looking for the best bang for the buck.

JTS  Anyone having a moderator clipping problem on Airacuda Max .30 ?

Anyone having a moderator clipping problem on Airacuda Max .30 ?

3 Dec 2023 UPDATE. I received another Max in 30 caliber from Pyramyd Air a few days ago. This replaced my previous three Max, one in each caliber that were clipping moderators due to a manufacturing defect in the air gun not the moderator. This defect has been extensively reported and commented on through most of the appropriate forms. So it's likely my new Max in 30 caliber was from a batch wherein the defect has been corrected. That means that I shot my Airacuda Max in 30 caliber with the Ronan 35 caliber moderator and it did not clip and it shot very accurately and substantially reduced the report.

I am the oddball... I want FFP scope with at least 30+ zoom and 10 yards focus/parallax

I have an Aim Sports Alpha 6 4.5-27x50 SFP on my Fortitude .177 and nearly always have it at the max, 27x, zoom. Even as close as 10 yards.

I have an Athlon Argos Gen1 8-34x56 FFP on my Akela .177 and nearly always have it at the max, 34x, zoom. Even as close as 15 yards.

When lighting conditions and time allow, I always prefer to take my shots, even at very close range, at max zoom.

I am the oddball and I know it
. However, I would like to hear from you folks.

What is available in FFP that has at least 30+ max zoom and 10 yards to infinity focus/parallax.

Yes, price IS an object, but if the glass is good, and it can hold zero, that is all I need. I use holdover and don't intend to click for range.

Price range is "cheap". (smile)

Under $500, preferably MUCH less than that.

Thanks!

All my best!

FX  Advice on getting deeper into FX impact

I'm pretty new to PCP rifles, but I've been lurking around forums for awhile reading. I have a Flashpup QE, but I'm looking for something a lot more capable (it's fine but feels like a starter rifle). The FX Impact and the platform in general looks extraordinarily appealing to me, but I don't understand it all yet and have a few questions on how to get started.

I have some interest in the flexible aspects of the M3 and the ability to change barrels, setups, etc. but I'm curious what some of the true "best practices" have yielded regarding this flexibility. I get the impression that while it's flexible, many still prefer to have multiple rifles instead of constantly changing setups. Is this a correct impression on what most of you do? Is it a big deal to swap back and forth between pellets and slugs of the same caliber on one rifle or does it get cumbersome? I've gathered it might not be worth swapping between calibers, but it's not as clear to me how feasible it is to often swap between pellets and slugs on the same gun on 1 caliber.

I'm asking because I have some interest in dabbling in slugs to explore shooting some longer ranges. It seems like it's definitely a capable slug gun, but I wouldn't expect to only want to shoot slugs.

What are your experiences on the FX M3 platform and the true practical side of its flexibility?

BSA  Piston Seal Lubrication

I just received a tuning kit for a Mk. 1 BSA Supersport. The kit includes some "ultra grease" and "ultra lube". According to the instructions the grease is for the mainspring and lube for the piston. There's nothing mentioned about lubricating the piston seal. Does it not require any lubrication?
The kit also includes a washer labelled, "top hat front disc & spring guide disc (rear)". I assume this sits between the top hat and end of the piston?

  • Question
Huben  Huben GK1 storage pressure

I recently picked up a huben gk1 .25 and it is my first pcp airgun. In the manual it says to not let the pressure drop below 12mpa nor take it above 35mpa but is it okay to leave it pressurized anywhere between those 2 points if being stored for a couple weeks time? What...if any is the ideal storage pressure? Thanks for any insight you can provide.
