Diana  To tune or just respring?

I have a Diana 48 .177 which I purchased used around 1990. Though I have not shot it much the past few decades, I ran it across the chronograph last night with some 30+ year old Crossman premier 7.4gn wadcutters, and some H&N Barracuda Hunter Extreme 9.52gn pellets that I was able to acquire locally. A tissue over the breach does not move when fired, so I suspect my underwhelming energy at just under 12 ft-lbs is likely just a tired old spring. This is a US market gun, so I would not think it to have been a restricted version. What might I expect out of a tuning kit vs just a new spring? I would like a bit more power for small game hunting, maybe somewhere closer to 18 ft-lbs would be nice. The gun seems smooth enough, but I don't really have anything to compare it to. I was looking at the Air Riffle Headquarters VRT kit or GRT spring, either of which seem to be drop in compatible to an untuned Diana 48. I don't understand what the VRT or GRT mean. There also seem to be several different piston seals available, I am not sure what the differences between them are. Thanks in advance for any guidance or options.

FX  Xring size fx m3 angled manometer

Hi...
Need help from everyone... I have problems with my angled manometer, it started to leaks, and after a careful observation it is the x ring that had been broken... Anyone knows the size of xring? Or any solution without the x ring? Because in my country i can't find any store selling x ring...

Thanks

Other  alternative ways to achieve spin stabilization

Hi peeps,

A newbie here. Over the past few months I've been researching pcp air rifles with the goal to design and make 1 (for) myself. During this process, it got me thinking of alternative methods to achieve spin stabilization of the pellet/slug other then rifling the barrel or making a polygonal barrel with a twist.

I've been wondering, is it possible to spin the pellet through airflow alone? By "rifling" the airflow behind the pellet, which in turn would spin the pellet as it is propelled forward by the air. The reduce friction and increase the effect of the "rifled airflow", maybe a very small gap between the barrel and pellet is needed.

Any insight and/or related comments are greatly appreciated.
Also happy holidays everyone, hope you have a good one.

FX  Fx impact M3 sounding louder?

Hi all.

I own a Fx impact M3 in .25cal, i have it tuned to shoot 39g slugs at 960fps, i have used the same tune since june 2021, everything internally is stock, Airmarksman backbone rail fitted, saber tactical front rail fitted etc. Recently i have noticed it sounds louder at the breech end, i changed the orings on the transfer port and the breech oring, but it still sounds a little louder than it used to, any ideas??.

Western Airguns  Western sidewinder 22cal best light weight ammo

Has anyone else with a sidewinder have any luck with lighter ammo? I have recently received a sidewinder 22cal, and does well with the 25g but I tried the 18gr and have immersive results. The 18gr @850 at least for my gun does outstanding out to 75yrds ,didn’t try any further yet. I have shot the 18gr at various speeds but it’s seems to group best @850. Has anyone else tried any other amm ot than the 25&18gr pellets?
