AEA Challenger barrel length and caliber vs accuracy?

I'm new to the world of big bore airguns. Don't have much experience with any type of airguns for that matter, but I'm very tempted by what looks like much less spending on ammunition. Having trawled through the various makes and models on offer, I like the the AEA Challenger range. The Benjamin bulldog ticks all my boxes as well, but the traditionalist in me thinks a gun ought to look like a gun...
I just have a question that someone out there must have an answer to.
Between the AEA Challenger bullpup .35 (24" barrel) and the AEA Challenger bullpup .30 (32" barrel) which is the most accurate at roughly 100 yards? Are the smaller and lighter .30 pellets less accurate over that distance than the .35 or is barrel length important as well? Or is there no noticeable difference? And if there's not much difference, how would they compare to the AEA Challenger .35 big bore bullpup (24" barrel) for accuracy?

PCP Pumps - Looking for Long Term Usage Feedback

this one is for the long term PCP users out there.
Could You pls. suggest which kind of the PCP Pumps last long on regular *usage?
consider 300cc bottle fill thrice a week, or 15 fills a month (i m at this stage at the moment).
I have the hand-pump and it's sure the best fit on long-life requirement but i'm looking to buy an electric option.

Which last longer than other requiring comparatively lesser service/maintenance?
  1. Desktop Sized Portables (e.g. Nomad 2/Chinese Make)
  2. Noisier heavier but still portable ones, e.g. Yong Heng
  3. Heavier, water-cooled e.g. AirVenturi 4500 - these can fill tanks
(not breathing quality though, but not really portable either as they weigh around 30Kgs)
Attached is the snap from Andy's Airgun Review on Airgun101 Channel here.

My intent is to buy a long lasting one, say 4-5 years at least...

Tuning  Gamo Urban pellet probe o-ring

Hi all, new here!
My Gamo urban's bolt/pellet probe is pretty badly chewed up maybe due to magazine issues?
I bought a viton o-ring kit from Harbor Freight upon reading another forum that they had used and I intend to attempt to replace it today.

Anyone else have this issue?

I cannot seem to find any specs on the o ring online which is hard to believe considering the Urban is a very popular starter PCP.
Thanks all, glad to be here!

  • Question
Red filter that fits the Olight Odin?

I own an Olight Odin flashlight and was surprised to learn that there is no red filter made specifically for that model (29 mm bezel diameter). I'm hunting rats at night and really need to find one. Does anyone have a workaround? If I could find a filter that's just slight larger, say, 32 mm, I suppose I could fill the gap with some tape to get the filter to stay on the flashlight.

  • Question
Can you just leave the fill probe in the airguns seal and go shoot?

Also if the pcp is leaking from the seal... Wouldnt letting the fill probe in the seal stop the leaking? Wouldnt the problem be "solved" or the rifle wouldnt let you shoot while having a leaking problem even if the seal is blocked?
(This just randomly came through my mind I dont have air leak porblem lol)

Tanks Alot

Total noob question. I currently own this compressor and I shoot a gauntlet .30 (which has a 4500 psi tank) I’m looking to get a scuba tank for range days. I read that you’re not supposed to fill a tank larger than 1.5 L with this compressor. Can anyone recommend a tank for me to get? Perhaps with a link. I don’t really know what I should be looking for, any additional information would be greatly appreciated. I’m fairly new to this. TIA

Last question on hand pumping

Lets say I buy the Hatsan Blitz at .30cal... And lets say that the Blitz needs aprox 300 pumps to go from 120 bar to 250... A filled Blitz at .30 will give 100 shots filled to 250bar... So if I just want to shoot 10 or 20 pellets only... I would have to pump ±30 times for 10 and ±60 for 20 from 120bar? Or because it is low pressure it gives less shots per pump meaning I would need more pumps for these 10 or 20 shots? Thank you

  • Question
Max shots at optimal velocity vs max shots per fill?

Hello everyone... I am thinking of buying a Hatsan Blitz .25 (or .30 I am not sure yet). The main reason I want it is because I will be filling it with hand pump so in comparison with other pcps where they shoot 20-30 shots per fill this pcp with 100+ shots seems to be ideal. (It also has decent power for its price). I saw that Hatsan says the Blitz shoots around 100+ shots at *optimal velocity*.... And my question is... How many decent shots could it shoot after the first 100 optimal shots? Lets say the first 100 have around ±700 fps... How many more shots until it reaches for example 600 fps or 550? Or it doesnt work like that? And lets say I only shoot the 100 optimal velocity ones... How much air would be left in the tank? How many pumps would I need to fill the rifles tank back to max in comparison to the tank being completely empty? I am new in pcps and english is not my main language so I am a little bit confused. I hope someone can explain to me... Thank you
