Caldwell G2 Won't Connect to Bluetooth

Admittedly I haven't used this Caldwell G2 in a while, but I can't get it to connect to my android Note9 (old phone, used with this chrono previously) or S20+ (newer phone never paired before). I've been through all the settings and permissions that I could find. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance

CB

Panthera magazine holder

I shoot Nrl22/prs matches and keep 2 spare magazines in a small pouch designed for medical gloves on my belt. Air Marksman and Utah Airguns also sell magazine pouches. There’s an Utah Airguns video on YouTube and they have a spare magazine holder mou on the rear of the rifle.
He said this was custom made

Huma moderator

Ordered a mod 40X proto.
had STO Accipitor on gun and switched to huma.
was by ear a sharper note and not as quiet.
then lost poi . I mean lost. Was searching , moving reticle, bigger target
shooting 10 ft away. Finally got a 2x4 and aimed in middle. About 2 feet low.
tried again and was confused . Finally removed replaced STO and sighted
back in. gun is a 22 huma is up to 25. This is my 3 rd huma order and like their
stuff.

Other  Quackenbush Camp & Garden Gun .410 shot pistol, sight mount.

I came very close to purchasing one last year but when I went back to check if Dennis had any still available and he had .452 pistols listed and even though I did want the shot pistol I succumbed to the .452.
Anyway, might you have any chrony information (shot, slug, other) you could share on yours? For my intended purpose (rattlers in the flower beds against the house) the shot pistol is really the choice I should have made but for one I cant just grab waiting a minute or two the .177's all do fine.
Also how does that light/laser combo work for you?
Thank you,
John

RETICLE-TRU ALIGNMENT DEVICE

I was playing with many scopes in recent years and I had to mount all of those just to figure which would be a keeper.
Tried many ideas from all over the web, and came up with (or invented) my own process .... combining things. And a lot of 3d printed tools, fixtures...

Some of my old pictures:

Mirror method and see through mirrors.

Flashlight method - I would like this one but the best coatings on scopes cuts the flashlight out ;(

And btw, if I would need to start bitchin about best and recommended scope rings and bubbles - this thread would never end.

From now on I am using only rings that are not horizontal split ;) and I started liking in single piece mounts.

Macavity Arms  Look at this new rifle.

If it’s simply an electronic trigger (vs electronic hammer in the Daystate), why would you need a screen?

The Daystate controls the hammer via electronic voltage and dwell, a simple electronic trigger would have a mechanical hammer and would use hammer spring adjustment instead.

From what I read, that’s probably how it is.
Indeed.
Time will tell!

1280 x 1024 Thermal

@Pfddi , If your eyes have deterioted like mine, and the focus you are talking about is the objective and not ocular, that can make the recorded pics look a bit worse than they can be. I've tried taking pics through my friend hensholdt with the voodoo in front, but it is a lost cause. I'd need a good camera, no phones and nothing short of 1500 body and primary lense camera, adjust the scope to be perfect, then mount the clip on and focus it for perfection. Taking a pic with everything focused for my eyes using a phone is pointless, the pics are horrible. I never bothered to save even one. And taking images with the clip on is pointless as it only saves what it sees, not what you see through the optical scope in back. It is fun shooting his 338 lapua at 1500 yards with him spotting and calling out the dope. first round hits with the thermal mounted are regular on the steel silhouettes even at that range. Of course if he wasn't calling out the dope looking through his spotting scope it would take me several shots to get there. He has at least 35k invested in that setup, rich people sure do have nice toys, just glad I get to play with them once in a while.

PCP aux tank required valve components?

I'm onto that EaZy Fill but will be looking for a much cheaper version. It actually seems to be something DIYable. A high pressure check valve with 2 fosters? Seems simple.
Agree that the EaZy fill is expensive for what it is, but it is robust. I'd love to pick up a few of the knockoffs as they are so much cheaper, but the relaibility reports are poor on them, so take that into account - many have said they did not even work for one use.

As for making your own, the issue is that you need a vent between the two foster fittings with the check valve. Adding that vent on a DIY one unfortunately adds a lot of volume that will be vented (although less than would be vented from the regulated valve). This the closest thing I've found to a what one would be like, and I did consider buying it. https://airtanksplus.com/product/quick-connect_in-line_one-way_check-valve_w_bleed_valve/

That venting function is where the EaZy fill (and the knock offs) shine since they are integral and don't add volume . . .

Airgun Technologies  Have you ever waited hours into a hunt to finally see something and then….

My worst nightmare I guess you could call it happened years ago. Had been waiting for weeks for an opportunity to take a critter out. When I finally looked outside and it was there I loaded a mag and proceeded to miss it at 20 yards many many times. Walked the gun over to the range window and couldn’t even hit my 30 yard target with the rest of the mag. And I was clicking like a madman chasing shots. I just sat there staring at my pride and joy at the time thinking WTF is wrong with it. I stood up and headed to the gun room to tear it down. Got it set up and removed the mag. As I was about halfway through taking the barrel off I noticed the mag laying there was a .22 mag. The gun I was shooting was a .25. Just sat there shaking my head.
That same scenario has almost happened to me as well. Once I caught my almost mistake, I used a paint pen and labeled mine on the cover as well as the back of them (my FX Mags)

Brocock/BRK  Bantam Sniper .25 improved accuracy after barrel change.

My Bantam Sniper was sweetly accurate right out of the box. Many, many kills and great groups at 25, 40, and 50 yards… Many pigeon kills out to 104 yards. My Pathfinder, which is but a Bantam Sniper in a collapsible folding stock has proven as accurate. Heck “all five BRKs”, still own four, shoot better than I can hold…🙈

Cans of beer versus pellet and slug

I was a bit bored and tried a 12.5 grain Nielsen slug from my P35-177. It was going about 875 fps at the muzzle and the beer was at 30 yards. The longer split is on the entry side. Much less damage than the 21 grain H&N slug did. I had my pellet trap a yard to the side and about a yard closer to me and the beer still got it.

Kral Arms  Kral parts in stock (at last) at Bagnall Kirkwood - UK

The Tormenta is really good for my use. I have not changed anything on the rifle (a first for me). I am sure that the Tormenta has room to improve, but I am not looking for that last 5% of perfection. The rifle is accurate and reasonably efficient. I get 4 magazines from a full load of air for .25 cal. This is a squirrel smashing gun that is easy to handle in my pickup truck and from the back of my ATV/UTV. The bipod is used more are a hand hold than as a ground stabilizer.

NOTE: Gen1 Gen2 and Gen3 Kral magazines DO NOT FIT the Tormenta, but I suspect the Crosman/Kral magazines may fit.

I am running a .25 Tatsu from Donny FL - not whisper quiet, but very reasonable.
Thanks a lot for this feedback. I am trying to find something that will fulfill my desire for the np02 and this Tormenta just might be the ticket!
