I'm topping off the tank. The tank holds pressure once filled. It looks like it's leaking around the gauge when filling. Still needs sent out or can I replace any o-rings related to the gauge?

a FWB 65 should shoot in the high 4's to a little over 500 FPS
the internal buffer will not hurt FPS but the breech seal could so what is the color of the cone breech seal
and the piston seal is metal like a car piston for sealing now if the pistol was rebuilt by someone that over lubed the cylinder that could not help

I've seen some people talk about a power plenum and an upgraded reservoir? I'm just curious what those upgrades bring to the table? I'm not looking to upgrade mine. Close to 60 years ago I occasionally got to go "coon hunting" with my uncle near the town of Burlington Kansas. The mothers hated it, the kids (including me) loved it. My uncle tried to be sure everybody had a flashlight but only he or another uncle had a firearm (and nobody had a pellet gun). I don't think we ever got a raccoon when I was there but we got a few possums. My uncle did not always kill them but sometime he did, he said it kept the dogs interested. We would go running through the woods when the dogs barked "treed" trying to get to that tree before the raccoon jumped out of the tree and started running again. We fell in creeks, got tangled up in fences, and fell in creeks. Fun stuff.

I recommend a 15 gram hammer, stock spring 150 bar. I'm. Currently running the super heavy tungsten hammer weight and stock spring with 150 bar and it's just at the bottom of its tuning window on my 700mm 22 m3. The differences between models are minimal.

I was target shooting in my back yard when feathers started raining down around me, I knew a raptor had taken another bird but the feathers falling looked liked a raptors....this peregrine falcon had taken a coopers hawk! The hawk must have been busy feeding on something to not be aware of the peregrine! First peregrine I have ever laid eyes on, she was larger and much thicker and beefier than the coopers. Coopers hawks feathers....could hear the peregrine crunching away on it. Was almost directly above where I was. I used my Zeiss binos to watch it eat and to identify the other raptor.

This tangential discussion is funny. Using some of your ”rationale” I guess the bulk of the UK airgun community is functioning off of flawed physics and ethics. Ratting is pretty big in their community with sub-12 fpe restrictions.

@slugdug The member advising you to follow the regulator manufacturer’s recommended operating range provided sound advice. Operating within the recommended range making adjustments to the reg, and hammer spring, while chronographing shots, and testing penetration on the same or similar materials that will be behind your intended targets is probably a sufficient exercise to know whether you will risk damaging anything on pass throughs or misses. Keep in mind that you’re not monitoring the regulator adjustment in terms of fps of a given projectile (velocity can change by switching projectiles or projectile weights without altering any settings. Even temperature changes), but by psi/bar setting of the regulator. The velocity can change with a hammer spring adjustment leaving the regulator set pressure the same. I’ve killed rodents with a Crosman Punpmaster and bbs. I wojldnt be concerned about power. If you can penetrate cardboard, the rodent should be dead within a reasonable distance.

Same. I lucked out and got a fantastic deal on a m357 from Rich. I almost bought this gun a couple weeks ago but I had just pulled the trigger lol on a aea m457. The m257 was on Amazon for something like $729 after taxes. They only had 2 available. Looking forward to following your threads.

As a general rule I use +\- 1% of bullet weight for small caliber, and +/- 0.5% on larger. I also find if you control lead temperature and mold temperature you get more consistent results. Letting those two variables swing a lot causes a lot of weight swings.

When casting watch for sharp square edges on bases and driving bands. Soft radius edges points to temperature being to low, and swings in bullet weight because the cavity is not being filled completely.

Thanks marflow. I've never been the collector type, so no interest in a 79.
Not a fan of .177 cal either. Just too small to handle. Shot them for a couple decades, and still own a couple, but .22 cal have been my go to Caliber for a very long time.
The trigger on this one is stiffer than I like. I can see that it's the spring causing a lot of that. I'll try changing it out for a lighter one, once this CO2 bottle is done.

@Blue Dog - I have the Burris Verasity PH 6-24 on my RTI P3 .25 600mm barrels shooting 30g AEA slugs. The Verasity PH has the same HUD but no internal LRF as the Eliminator so I have to range it myself. The scope HUD starts at 30 yards, so it is not for short-range use at all (The Eliminator does the same). I had to build a custom profile as the app has nothing for pellet guns at all. Once up and going and sighted in, I will say that it has been very accurate with my targets - mostly small game - out to 150 yards. I haven't had anything live to hit further to test the additional range yet. It has also been spot on at the range with paper and swing metal targets at various distances out to 200 yards. The glass is very good and compares to scopes in the same if not a bit higher price range.

Here are some of the "erks" that I have with the scope.
- The ranging between 30 and 50 yards is stectchy. It jumps multiples and is very difficult to get the exact "yard" that you want. Once past 48 yards, it will dial in by a yard at a time.
- It takes 2 honking large 2450 batteries! It has an auto-shutoff but I managed to run them out by forgetting to turn the scope off already - PITA
- The app is not as good as most of the digital scopes folks use here on the forum - DNT, PARD, AGM and the such have better smart phone apps.
- The scope is targeted at PB guns. It has a large array of bullets built in. If you want to swap it to a 6.5 Creedmore, you will like the scope.
- The Verasity PH will only take a single profile in it at a time, unlike a lot of the other digital scopes on the market now.

I will say that I really like it for hunting so far. I am an old school "holdover" shooter and not a turret twister, but this scope has changed me. Dailing in the yardage is really nice. I would probably be looking into the Eliminator 6 at some point but one can almost get 2 of these for the price! I hope this helps.

I recently purchased a SR2 missing the removable. 177 or .22 barrels. It is the Stainless version with the plastic stock . Called Beeman in California and the only have the painted black barrels. Anyone else have a Stainless looking barrel or know where i could aquire one. Preferably in .177

Why different hammer weights . I go on the idea of increased reg pressure will at some point need a heaver hammer to get added power from reg increase . What am I missing in my thinking ?
