Like to hear from you guys .what's the best combo u use for big game ,ie:deer ,bear,ram ,elk and can u get kills hots over 150 yards ?do u go for high fps or heavy slug?

My nephew has one, loves it out in the orchards by the farm. Squirrels on the other hand, not so enthusiastic.

Pic 3 came to me a few years later & while similar is different in the sub frame ?

Just what I would do would be shooting one of my Gauntlets in .25. I’ll limit that to 50 yards and nothing larger than a raccoon. Hogs, coyotes or bigger it will be a powder gun in .308. Opinions very but that’s what I’m comfortable with.

I view the Crown as the successor of the Royale, with easier adjustment. I don't think they're at all hard to work on. I can strip and seal a Crown of it's critical orings in 45 minutes or so. Now the Impact....I love 'em, but they're a bit of a turd to work on. There's just so much to deal with going wrong. BUT, when they shoot, they shoot really well indeed. I'd still love to get my hands on an unmolested Mk2 with PP, and I'd be a happy camper.

FX pushes the limits, no question, and that seems to be why they outsell all others.

I’ve got the barrel end ones and a Shooting Chrony knockoff along with my old Shooting Chrony.
The Chinese ones are superior to the Shooting Chrony in that they’re less finicky with lighting.
For the less than $20 price I have no desire for $500 ones. I just read here that Athlon may be
coming out with a Garmin type thats hundreds less. If so I will get it.

Cheap steel 3 or 4" gongs work (Ebay). Easy to figure out your own rack from which to hang them. 1/4 or 1/2" steel won't be penetrated by airguns.

All (3) of my traditional RAW stocks came with a too-tight fit. I just sanded the inletting down a bit until the fit was snug but not a bear to remove. I then sealed the inletting with Royal London Oil.

I'd let the Sportsman fix it under warranty. You have 3 years and once you go into it your warranty will be invalidated. It shouldn't cost you a penny.

It is the inner rotating holes that are not aligning correctly (centering) with outside hole). So, dremeling the outside hole won't fix the problem as the pellet probe is hitting the edge of the inside rotating holes. Dremeling all of the inside holes would make them all ovals which would make all the pellets loosely flopping around in a large oval hole. Furthermore, there is only a very thin wall between the internal rotating holes so there is very little to work with. Am I not understanding you, or are you not understanding me? Please clarify if I am missing something.

Just pointing out that when you tried to post a picture it showed your file directory which had your name in the file path, just from a security standpoint something you want to avoid just remove your post that I replied to

It would be essentially a pic rail along the bottom with a trigger gaurd and ar grip mount and then up to the ar stock mount..

I’ve worked on some stuff with Buck Rail. I will check with him to see if he is releasing a stock for it. I agree with you, the platform seems great, but the looks of it aren’t the best.

I've got an HW99s in .22 unmolested and it is sublimely accurate and easy shoot with very little recoil compared with my Hatsan Striker in .25. The Hatsan is a totally different beast and I haven't hunted with it or done any pest control yet, but for smiles it's the one!
My 99 is almost surgical and .22 is the perfect caliber for it. It's my go to for any job that's required.

We tried it on an actual M1A and it didn't fit on that.

This is the lenght and weight of .284 (7mm) from the noe 106 mold that has been drcked down

I have been shooting the JSB KO 20.83gr .216 slug at 980fps out of my barra 250z and it has remained a tack driver and I haven't had to clean the barrel yet, with about 150 slugs shot. I love this slug. This is the first .22 that I have shot that is beyond the 32fpe range of power, and it is a completely different animal. It's much more like a .25 caliber at this point, which is my favorite caliber, and this is joining that status level fast. Thanks for this thread Dillon, it was extremely helpful to me!
