N/A  Choosing a .30 cal

Take into consideration that must probably is that you will shoot JSB Hades for hunting.

Those pellets cause a lot of tissue damage.

You can hit a jackrabbit at 200 yards with pellets and slugs….. But for bigger animals you will be shooting closer than 100 yards…. Normally. And for 100 yards Hades work well.
Thank you

Ohhh that snow peak model. Looks a lot like a zelos. Man that gun is perfect for me but it is literally out of stock everywhere.
They are essentially the same gun, SAP makes them, SnowPeak distributes them outside the USA, Umarex distributes them inside the USA.

The Zelos has a 50mm longer barrel.

Beeman  Experience with the beeman r9 for hunting?

Your groups will tighten up as you learn to shoot it. I have an exercise I go through when I haven't shot a springer in a while. I shoot at cans offhanded. Start at twenty yards and work out to 50. It will take a few shooting sessions but offhand shooting is the key. When you shoot off a rest the springer can shoot all over the place. learning to hold it correctly is the key. They are a very accurate rifle but I have found I shoot springers better with open sights than I do scoped.

This is sage advice. This fellow nailed it.

A tin of pellets and a beer can offhand will teach you more than a half million shots off a rest at a target. Then you can take what you've learned back to the bench and shoot buttonholes with it.

You can't worry much about precision or what pellet shoots best until you toss a couple pounds of pellets in the dirt. Plinking offhand you learn the cadence of the recoil and how to offset it with your off hand. You learn the trigger and how to time it. You get sensitive to your lock time and follow through. It's a crash course on your rifle and riflemanship. You learn how to handle the gun and not just shoot it.

Springers are tough to shoot off a rest. And scopes are a constant pain in the backside. I like offhand and sitting with my elbows on my knees. I like bipod and tripods. I can shoot better patterns off a bipod than I can off a bag. Within 50 yards almost as close a pattern with iron sights as a scope.

The biggest obstacle to stacking them is not a steady hold nor a better sighting system. It's about learning to work with the recoil and learning the arc of the pellet. That's what plinking offhand teaches you quick.

Huben  Huben Pistol GK1 questions?

Simply put, the Notos is a simple poppet and hammer spring/weight style of pcp pistol of standard/old technology with minimal parts. Whereas the GK1 is a newly engineered semi-auto pcp with a lot of moving parts. The standard GK1 is $1,250.00 through Kelly at krazcool.com

Arken Zulu rat hunting

My video is on that link; similar to yours.

Great shot by the way. I also have taken many rats here at the homestead. Probably 40 or so.. I have used both thermal to locate; and then arken zulu to clearly identify and shoot. Wouldn't want to kill the neighbors pets or chickens by mistake.

Theoben  Theoben Rapid MKII scope rail or .......?

Ok guys here is my question.....

I have finally gotten my barrel adapter on my original 22 barrel and I have been shooting the rifle more. This has got me to thinking about the scope set up. Currently I have an Element sitting on top in a pair of adjustable rings. These work great....BUT.... they also lift the scope up quite high. So I have been wanting to find either a picatinny rail to go from the 10mm. This would make things easier to mount the optic and will allow for a better cheek weld.

So I am looking for either a rail adapter, or an option for an adjustable cheek riser.

So what have you guys done?

FX  Time to decide, either FX Dynamic 22/500 or FX Crown 22/500

Wow, what a wealth of great information to use in decideing which to go with. In spite of the fact that there is limited knowledge of 100 yd shooting of the crown the other comments regarding accuracy are very impressive. I truly appreciate all the advice as it is do much more worthwhile than looking at paid testimonials on U tube. Thanks again.

Mythbusting Precision BR

For those wanting to be on the gun, you better get on it exactly the same every time, because most stocks/chassis systems will flex more than .004"
And therein supports the free recoil method of shooting. It’s not impossible to be “on the gun” but to be competitive you have to apply the same amount of pressure and force each and every time you pull the trigger and that is darn near impossible, at least for me.
