Taking these recommendations I have ordered a couple more cans of pellets in various weights, keep trying different ones.

That is the one that I REGRET selling. I wish I could roll back the clock and unsell that one. None the less I am glad that it has found a new home.I bought it for a friend of mine, it now lives in Texas. It is a really sweet gun, I can’t believe you sold it.
Oh! Yes that would be far more in shipping than it's worth. I would seek out a way to silver solder or braze that back on without distorting the tube. You'll need to remove the gas piston before applying heat. Good luckMany thanks but won't be rebuilding. I live in Zimbabwe so getting parts etc is more hassle than ehat it is worth
The Max 1 only comes with 1 magazine. None seem available anywhere. Since the Max 1 shares components with the Snowpeak M60, I decided to take a shot and ordered a Zelos/M60 magazine from Big Air Precision. Unfortunately I ordered .22 and needed .25 (Dunbass). I went ahead and tried the .22, it fit with just a tiny amount of slop. I measured my Max 1 magazine and the M60 magazine. Only one measurement differed, thickness. Max 1 is 15.5mm and M60 is 15mm.
So, I ordered 2 .25 magazines. 0.5mm is a strip of thick tape.

Since the club is new and the shooters and still beginning we do a loops. That way you kinda get a second or third try at the same target. Doing fun shoots for now.Great progress. The lanes look promising. With five lanes you can host a full match. Shoot through five lanes. Move the targets, eat a light lunch then shoot through them again.![]()
I installed my temporary 6” Rowan wheel on the Athlon Ares ETR UHD 3-18x50 today…Athlon continues to impress me for what it makes at the price point it gives us.
I continue my quest (obsession) to find the worlds greatest HFT scope for ranging at 16X.
I am currently waiting on a 6" round parallax wheel for this scope, but my initial workup on the bench has me totally impressed with the I.Q.
Stay tuned for pics and further details.
Supposedly that's one of the purposes behind the tariffs, to bring more manufacturing back home to the US.Maybe it’s time for us to design our own US made springers! What was the last decent US springer? We all buy German because of quality/tradition. The US has some pretty good engineers. Let the Germans build the barrel, and we build the rest of it!
I shot the FX Archery Chonograph simultaneously with the cheap Chinese chronograph. It was pretty messed-up looking, I should have taken a picture. Shots according to the FX were from 917 fps to 863 (80 shots, fell off the reg). The Chinese chrony thought the shots were slower by a little more than a percent.
Having the Chinese chrony around scared the FX into its best behavior; it didn't miss a shot.
Very much so. I'm well over $6000 just in R&D plus well over 100hrs in research and computer calculations. That's not including material and manufacturing just to prove concept.cost.... making a "exceptional" barrel is an expensive endeavor.
I bought two PCP failures before I finally dug way down in my wallet and bought a Crown. Then I was finally satisfied. As someone who bought a springer for their first "high-end" air rifle, I would definitely recommend going with a PCP instead. There were several better performing options I could have gotten for the same amount of money, even with a pump included in the total.
Funny thing, that's what I gave for it and I remember the Cumming's tool sales. Really quality stuffThese used to sell for $20 at traveling Cumming's tool sales. Most are fairly accurate and shoot about 550 fps with a lead pellet.
