Strange results from cleaning pellets

It seems weird lead is damaged since the same unit can be used to clean gold jewelry. Granted that isn't pure gold, but it never damages gold or other metals.
After some more research I agree with 6gun it appears to be cavitation damage. Cavitation will eat through steel under the right conditions.

The Internet wisdom recommends even higher frequency up to 170kHz, cooler bath temps, and lower cleaning times.

N/A  What is considered the “best”

In response:
I’ve owned them all and each has its charm.

1. I bought an HW95 with iron sights. They don’t work for me. Best group I can get at 10M off a sandbag is 1 inch. Put a scope on and it shoots 1 hole.
2. Yes, if your scope covers the loading port on the TX and it’s troublesome to load pellets. I found a compact scope that leaves the loading port wide open which solved that problem.
3. The TX is super easy to disassemble to replace springs as opposed to HWs which require a spring compressor.
4. Under lever vs break barrel? Take your choice. Yes, the underlevers are heavier, but target shooters seem to prefer them.
5. Safeties? Meh., I have both HWs and TXs and they are pretty much the same.

Really, they are all good rifles and thankfully, we have choices.

Ditto!

HW/Weihrauch  Hw77 Mk1 done today.

I wanted to try out the new bench so I brought out the 77. The wind was a solid 5-8mph and constantly changing strength and directions. I just had to ignore it. I shot this target. Ten shots at a 3/4" sticker at 25 yards. JSB makes the pellets in the top three groups. Only the AA was acceptable for the conditions.
The H&N FTT 4.51s did about the same. The H&N FTT 4.52s did noticeably better than all.

Looks like she's a fussy girl.

Taipan  Slash

The price is high on this model, but man a .30 Tactical with 420mm barrel would really fit the bill. I like that they are shipping with a slug and a pellet mag.

Re: shot count - I will only assume that the listed shot count is at a moderate tune. Max tune figure one magazine - at least with the Mora pushing 120 fpe in .25 I get one magazine of 15 shots - and that's with a 700cc air tank.

RAW Rapid  HM1000x Bottle Valve Repair ???

Well that’s some good news. Good work getting her back into shooting form. I can only imagine how frustrated you must have been. On a side note, just watched a YouTube review of the new Theoben rapid in a blue laminate FORM stock. They sure make some nice lumber. I’m not sold on the Theoben name on a rifle with a side lever. Any how , 👍

Feinwerkbau FWB Model 65 could be a great economic indicator.

I always wanted a 65, could never afford one.

Then the 500fps law came in and made the 65 into a "restricted weapon" not worth the red-tape to own. I still look and wish though.

Fortunately, I lucked into a deal on a FWB Model 100 SSP ($150) and been happy with that.

Fantastic customer service my opinion

Did you ask what he did to clear it? I'm curious about that. Customer service is what REALLY makes a business thrive. It's been commented on before how good The Pellet Shop is.
He used a dowel rod and rubber mallet was able to tap the smashed slug back into the mag enough to get the mag out a and clear barrel didn't have to take anything apart even filled my air back up .I did try the dowel rod but guess I wasn't tapping hard enough plus was using my palm as a mallet.

Beeman  Beeman underlever 1358 mods

Hey everyone I've been messing with my Beeman. It's my first PCP. I'm an engineer and a tinker so I've taken it apart a few times and made some changes.

I opened up the main valve and made that spring a decent amount weaker. Right now I want to get a little more power. I also added a o ring in the block before the hammer which takes off some for but helps with hammer bounce. Over all I still get 50-60 shots but my curve isn't as flat as it was with the stock valve spring. I also recommend removing the brass washer on the valve spring to make it a little softer. It's STIFF.

My main struggle is that I can't get a reg to work on my model because of where the pressure gauge is. Does anyone know where I could source a gauge block? I would also accept a drop block to add a bottle of anyone can help me source one.

I would also love to find some barrels that fit this receiver. I'm sure a few models work, but I don't know where to buy them.

I've been 3d printing some mods. This one has lasted the longest so far.

But I'm trying some. Resin printer parts too.

Steyr  Steyr LP 10 Not dislodging palettes.

Thank you so much. Seems like work out of my current capabilities. I took the valve assembly apart and put it back together, and now even the pufft sound is gone.😂 It's like I'm dry firing it all the time. Something that can give further insight is that when the palette is not loaded and I pull the trigger after cocking there is still a pufft sound. Do you know who can take a look at the pistol for me? Thanks again
@Bimbi - what is the status of this Steyr ?

Skout  Evo or Epoch with the .30 cal LW 28" 1:24 Twist

Anyone have any experience with the .30 cal LW 28" 1:24 twist barrel in the field yet? Does it do as well with .30 cal pellets as the .22 cal LW 25" 1:15.75 does with .22 cal pellets? What about slugs? I really like the idea of another barrel good with both pellets and slugs. Just wanted to see if anyone has any experience with it yet.

Trying to get ready for the upcoming season for both N50 benchrest with .22 cal and 100 yard benchrest with .30 cal. Just want to hear about a little real-world field results before plunking out the money. Any experience would be greatly appreciated.

I also noticed the new ECR - 30 Cal - 25" SS with 1:24 twist is listed as both pellets and slugs as well. Any experience with this one as well would be welcome.

Thanks for your time to share your thoughts and experiences.

FX  Is FX Panthera grip compatible with AR grips?

I can tell you from personal and recent experience that not all. The BCM Mod3 does not fit. The slot in the grip is not wide enough to slide over the boss that the grip screw threads into on my Maverick. I have not tried it on my Impact though.
I had bought the grip for my AR but decided to try one on my Maverick.

FX  FX Panthera plenum return valve

If the regulator does not hold the set pressure after removing the cylinder then the problem is in the regulator i.e. defective o-rings. So the easiest way to do this is to replace all the o-rings. And then test. Pressurize the entire air rifle to full pressure, let it sit for about 10 minutes, disconnect the bottle. After that, it's best to let it sit for at least 24 hours. The airgun itself should hold plenum pressure for several months.
Thanks darkness, I’ll test that once I get my cylinder filled up again.

N/A  20 cal pcp?

A .20 makes sense in pump and spring but in a PCP? I guess it would be cool.
Actually, it makes the most sense in pcp... The 13.7s have the highest BC of any offering that is reasonable for sub 20 ft lb service and the 15.89s have the best BC of any offering up to about 35 ft lb... PLUS they just seem to generally be more accurate, or at least as good as my best... Then there are the 18.9 slugs... oh my... they're just wonderful little buggers that will reach out really well but not use a ton of air or cause the rifle to be unpleasant to shoot...
In my stable are Red Wolf and Delta Wolf in 20, plus some Sheridans and a Cros 100 that I converted. Did have a Ghost in the mix but it's out now.
What doesn't make sense to me is having one below 20 ft lb, similar to 22 below 30 ft lb... sure, it will shoot ok, possibly extremely well, but there are better options imho...
