FX  What’s the difference? FX .30 cal 1:22 twist rate versus 1:37 (a.k.a. 1:40) twist rate

Anything under 1:30 can be considered a slug liner/barrel. Anything over is more for pellets. Diabolo ellets self-stabilize due to their shuttlecock-like shape, whereas slugs need to spin faster (like a regular bullet) IOT not tumble in flight.

I know this is old, but the thread shows some FX part numbers and twist rates. As you can see from a post by @FX-USA (who has not been online since 11/2023), he claims a twist rate slightly different from the charts on one barrel, but I'd postulate that any number within 3-5" of twist rate are about the same. Perhaps someone can reach out to the FX crew on Facebook and get an up-to-date barrel part number chart as posted in this thread:

HW/Weihrauch  And sister makes three

Stevie Ray played in my hometown in the late eighties. My wife was flying around on a broom that week, I couldn’t go. It’s the only thing I’ve held against her to this day. And still married to her.
As far as the Theoben. I need no encouragement. Never had the opportunity or even seen one. I’d buy it in a NY second if I came across one. Thanks Crow

Stan, you guys are so lucky, to go to these shows. I would love to go to one. I’d settle for a tour through a pawn shop. I do have relatives in PA. One day I’ll make it down. Crow
no kin in PA , i drive get a hotel room , go to show , drive home . Although this is a first show for them so ill drive up Thursday and help set up friday / show on saturday , probably stay to help break down and drive home sunday . Think closest show to you might be in Main or New
Hampshire ? i am not sure where you live and what would be the shortest drive .?

Crosman  1322

Fwiw, I think even with metal parts these guns are still pretty light. Honestly I prefer more weight. IMO, makes for a more stable gun. Translates into more accurate shots. I've got 2 1322s myself. One is a pcp, and it is very heavy. Heavier than my all steel 5" .45 acp 1911. The pumper, I don't know the weight of, but it still feels light ish. Steel thread adaptor, steel breech, aluminum barrel band. Used to have a solid brass piston, but now has a composite one. Has dense African rosewood grips. Dense grips can have a pretty significant positive affect on stability and accuracy as well. I have ebony ones on the other one.

Of course theres plenty of reasons to want a light gun. And the rabbit hole is dee :ROFLMAO: so, sometimes it's best to keep it simple and effective. Effective being the most importaint aspect.

That's a beauty and I do like weight in some of my target guns I agree that it adds stability, this one is more for ratting so quick pointing is a plus. Yes I am discovering that the rabbit hole goes way too deep on the 13xx's but that's the fun in em right 😂

Mounts/Rings  FOUND Eagle Vision 34mm Rings, or . . .

Greetings.

[March 1 Edit: I bought a pair of EagleVision brand new, as I needed them to mount a scope now. Thanks.]

I am looking for a pair of Eagle Vision 34 mm rings at a good price. I have the 30mm, and like them.

I think the designation is: Infinity Elevation Ajustable Scope Mount 34mm Ring Picatinny IPS-34. These are the quick disconnect variety and must be the right height to accommodate the Crown MKII magazine.

The rings must be in at least very good condition, and having the factory box and wrench is preferable.

It will help if the seller is a member in good standing with good feedback.

(I will consider other rings of similar quality, preferably with the disconnect feature. I don't think (?) I want a one-piece setup due to weight.)

Thank you.
S7

[Edit, February 28: The rings I am particularly after are indeed the EagleVision IPS-34mm. These have the Picatinny rail on top so the user can mount a light or whatever.]

Target distances for this-coming weekends TEXtreme Rifle and Pistol FT matches

So Y'all can pre-determine your sight settings for every target, all the distances are attached. Extreme pistol distances are in black, Magnum pistol distances are in red, and since Extreme and Magnum pistol shooters shoot the same targets and distances on lanes 4 & 7, those are in gray (because everybody knows all pistol shooters are gray) 😂.

Reminder- shooters may shoot any airgun of any type in any match as long as it meets the power limit for that particular match. However only shooters adhering to all rules for the match are eligible for awards. Among other reasons, this lets folks not (yet) equipped for Pistol FT to shoot a rifle in the pistol match for fun, or vice-versa.

I'm hearing a lot of excitement about this weekend, and the forecast is for highs in the mid-70s to low-80s. We're expecting multiple new TEXtreme victims:oops:... I mean, TEXtreme newbies.;) Which reminds me- also attached is a map of the area around the Ranchito Robinson TEXtreme Airgun Sports venue; including the landmarks of Waco, Lake Whitney, and the Central Texas Rifle & Pistol Club.

Gonna be a blast, Y'all! Be prepared to deal with bright sun.

See You Soon,
Ron & Maggyy

PCP Rifle  SOLD FX Dreamline Mini-Dreampup .177 Caliber – for Parts - $600

I sold this a little while ago on this site; I shipped it in a heavy duty foam lined case. Still, UPS managed to crack the stock. I had a gunsmith fix it. He previously had fixed another stock for me and I’m still using it. I have shown the crack in the repaired stock in the last pictures. Even though it works great, I’m selling it for parts because the receiver, barrel, and scope are worth more than my asking price of $600.00.

Here’s the original posting write-up:

This started out as a standard Dreamline Dreampup. I wanted something much smaller – less than 24 inches that would still pack a power punch. I replaced the original barrel/shroud with a 300mm Superior barrel/shroud and replaced the larger tank with a .3L tanks. The rest of the gun is as received, new. The 3-9 UTG scope is also included. Check out the pictures – it’s a pretty slick set up. $1100.00 which includes insured shipping. PayPal friends and family is preferred but I’ll also accept a money order or a check with a hold for clearance.

How to set up FX IMPACT M3

Thanks for the positive feedback.
On thing I forgot to mention.... I measure the Valve with a digital caliper.
I do not use the rings as a measurement tool. The calipers are much more accurate.
oncall-50
I used to do that until I realized 1/4 turn is equal to about .007”. I’ve since marked the top & face of the knob when four lines out with a stripe of white electrical tape and can easily distinguish 1/8 turn. Much faster and no caliper needed. I used four lines as my starting point since one revolution isn’t equal to one line.
