What scope magnification do you like to shoot and why?

50x and "retraining" myself on a 60X at the moment. The important thing for me is not having to search for the target at that mag. and have it aligned on my sight as soon as I put my eye to the scope. Also, being disciplined enough to allocate time to move my eye away from the scope and take in ambient conditions a few times before committing to the shot. At those high magnifications all you see is face plate...

RAW Rapid  RAW Pistol

Speak with Martin at Airguns USA, he can set you up with most anything from Raw, including one in .20.
Great Shooting!
If you happen to be able to make a FT match at Fairfield or Mid Ohio this year you’re welcome to try it. Just let me know because I don’t always bring it to every match.

HW/Weihrauch  HW100 Manometer gauge very inaccurate question on replacing

I never saw one myself, but I was curious. I found a youtube on the digital gauge, and a link to the vendor. I have no experience with airgun digital pressure gauges, but I used industrial digital gauges for vacuum systems/gas feed for many years. Those gauges were very reliable, but really uber expensive.
In my experience with gas feed regulator gauges, (positive pressure) the thing that killed them was abrupt changes in pressure. Like I said, I did gas into vacuum for coating and semiconductor applications, and fast feed would fatigue the the gauge pretty quick.
Pyramyd Air had one for 180 bucks, while analog is about 6X less.
Youtube linked gauge was under 50 bucks. Of course you need the correct thread interface for your system.

HW/Weihrauch  Show your hw 35...

Thanks Wadcutter! Three beautiful rifles fer sher, and I appreciate your tying down those transition dates.

The Bayern Luxus is my personal favorite of all HW 35 stocks. It was similarly made in beech for the HW 50. My 1980-vintage HW 35EB (Beemans Export stock + normal 19-inch barrel) also has the early one-sided safety.

Another post reminded me of a funny story

I realise a gun is a tool. I try to take care of my tools, but don't let it stop me from using them. Just like my truck, it's a tool, but i wouldn't think of trashing it. I guess there's a level of respect for what you without going crazy. I'm working on a better life one day, and this one is only temporary.

Beeman  Scope stop

Installed a BKL One-Piece DC mount, cleaned barrel, used JTS 10.4 gr 177 pellets, MUCH better.

Could be the cleaning and pellet change would have addressed my issues, but I like the BKL mount and the barrel clearance. The only interesting item is the clearance, or lack thereof, between the middle of the mount and the erector section of the scope. I can barely see a sliver of light between the two.

But, looks and works well.
As they say in the machining industry, clearance is clearance..lol. You got a couple thou you got a mile.

Blackwolf Rising

So you tell me where oh where, could Daystate have come up with the tension approach to the Black Wolf? I shoot mostly Daystate Rifles have won and placed @ EBR 2018 and 2021. I guess I am naive to think the business world would take care of those who help make you popular and successful.https://youtu.be/kDjh4PwyCkw
The tensioning system on Blackwolf came from the 2022 BRK Ghost, which was in turn inspired by the system used in 2021 by Fady Kiwan who used it in the lebanese championships before going onto win with it in the BR world championship and I believe the year before used it when he placed 2nd at EBR?. Daystate appreciates all its shooters, and I see in your post sponsored clothing provided by daystate america. This doesn't mean that it can provide financial support for every shooter who enters or does well in a competition, but it does support the competitions themselves. You mention EBR and at both the matches you attended Daystate contributed to the prize money and to have those matches take place.

Jim,
I'll also pile on that I too have had a Benjamin Marauder Pistol, commonly referred to as a PRod. They are very light, handy (short), accurate and as Feinwork (post #14) noted good for pesting out to around 30 yards. It's a gun that you could easily take for a woods walk, unlike some of my bulky and/or heavy airguns that I have. I felt that it was quiet enough that I never put a moderator on mine. The only reason I moved on from mine was that where I live the pests generally start out around 30 yards and go out to around 140 yards. Even so, I wish that I had kept mine as it is a great gun for introducing others to airguns and it would have been just the ticket to loan to my buddy who pests (squirrels in his garden) are not over 30 yards out. I hand pumped mine also, and it is no chore with the small air cylinder. It is one airgun that I regret selling and will probably pick up another sometime.

The Stoeger Ranger that you are considering, will be much longer, have more power for longer shots (killing power & trajectory) and as I have read (don't own one) will be louder and a moderator added onto it (adding even more length) would help for hunting or if neighbors are an issue. Which is all fine if it fits you're needs/wants.

Jerry

I've included a couple of links for the reviews, there may be better prices elsewhere. I would not buy through Amazon unless it is shipped/sold by an airgun dealer due to their poor packaging.

Hatsan  Hatsan Blitz 777 (Refined Semi/Full Auto Beast) w/ 180 shots per fill (Video Review)

It was gun of the year according to me. They do sell the Sniper RC Long version at Pyramyd Air. I did a video on it: https://www.airgunnation.com/threads/hastan-factor-rc-sniper-l-video-review.1314993/
Oh nice, btw thanks for posting all your vids, great content and lot's of good info. Keep it up. That's why I want a Blitz 777.

FX  FX REVOLUTION DISASSEMBLY PROCESS - THE ONLY GUIDE ONLINE

I got one from AOA too back then when the Rev first came out and it's part of the reason, along with the 1st gen Impact years later, that I stopped buying FX. Both were infuriating in each it's own ways.

Finally, after the 3rd time back to AOA, due to seemingly unfixable problems, I traded in the Rev on a Royale which has been a good rifle.

I'm glad others are more patient and mechanically inclined than I am!

AEA .35 cal 110gr pellets

I'm building a BR gun using these. I've managed an 850ffps tune, but haven't accuracy tested yet. I'm glad to see they can be accurate enough at 100yds.
We are still going to do some fine tuning. We want to try a heavier hammer weight so we can get the hammer spring backed off, and also see if a faster speed is even more accurate with no spiraling or flyers.

We haven’t held for wind yet, or shot any cards for score. That is coming hopefully on the next outing or two.

I personally want to get some of the 81gr and see how they do compared to the 110gr.
