Brocock/BRK  Ghost Trigger

Thanks @Franklink! I completed these mods last night and my trigger is great! Almost 0 first stage travel and a nice crisp break.

I slid the trigger forward on its track to get a better finger pad position but, after seeing how the entire trigger mechanism pivots, slid it all the way back to maximize leverage. That seems to have made it even sweeter!

I don’t have a scale but it has to be less than a pound.

To echo @MysticalDragon , the information you have posted about the Ghost first convinced me to buy one, then has made ownership so much more enjoyable! Thank you!

Now I’m reading your posts about the Altaros booster and holding onto my wallet!😭
His writeups on many guns has caused me to buy them. They are essential reads though it hurts the wallet lol.

Omg I finally screwed my self

Come on now guys, to his credit he did say drill SLOWLY. Clearly a cautious deep thinker not some dummy with a hammer and nail. That brings to mind a question, any of you know the best way to plug a nail hole in a tank? I'm thinking maybe a drywall screw or two.
JB Weld you silly goose :ROFLMAO:

Daystate  Magazine is leaving two pellets un-shot

Yes, last 2 pellets
That certainly sounds like the shot counter then. My friend who shoots a redwolf as his field target rifle, was sighting in my redwolf. It stopped shooting with pellets left in the magazine due to the shot counter not being set correctly. Once we turned it off and then set it to the proper number it emptied the mag each time.

Hope you get it figured out and its rather simple.

GX-CS3-I

Thank you for the detailed explanation Jake! It's nice to know what to look out for in the future. I know I plan on just using mine for short direct fills, but it's a shame that these do not always hold up to the advertising claims (50 minutes run/20 minutes cool down). I don't think mine has ever gone longer than 10 minutes at a time,.

Pellets, Slugs, and water...

That all makes good sense. Well, except the skirt boards. Were those what I'd call fascia boards dressing the outside edge of the dock or, below the fascia/headers? That's really interesting.

The biggest thing I've learned with muskrats is, they like smooth. calm water. I've never seen them swimming on top with anything above a slight shimmer. If there's any kind of ripple from wind or watercraft, they don't come out to play.

At our previous home, we had a floating dock. They would take mussels up on top of the floats and eat them but, fortunately, never harmed the floats or air lift. We did have the reinforced "muskrat hose" from Hydrohoist but, they never bothered it. However, they got inside of a couple neighbor's pontoons (classic styles that had the rear steps built in) and they destroyed them. They also chewed through a neighbors lift cable! More than anything, they get behind the seawalls and/or the shoreline and destroy the ground with tunnels. So, there are a few neighbors that work together to minimize them. Some trap, some shoot.

I'm really interested to get the gun and see what is possible with the adjustments. It should be here Mon. I'm really intrigued by the scope. I decided to try the Immersive 14x50 for this one since it will primarily be for hunting/pesting. Now if I can just figure out the compressor and get that on the way, I can start my journey down the proverbial PCP & pellet vs slug rabbit holes...

Thank you all for the input so far.

N/A  Someone talk me down...

Qball,

I'm planning on getting a .177 barrel kit for my Impact MK2 for shooting (mostly) slugs and heavier pellets. Was thinking on going with 700mm. What length and liner(s) do you recommend?

Thanks!

In 177 either 600-700mm would work with minimum fuss, 700mm will be a bit easier to tune.

Seneca/Sam Yang  Saddle Mountain

Oops Not lethal air that's right it was African air orderance
Yeah, they offer upgrade kits have seen them tune Sam Yang rifles like the Careers, Senecas, Sumatras etc for a very nice power upgrade... not sure if they service guns from other countries though, but they have a nice parts kit for most big bores and korean guns.

Vortex Impact 4000 on weapon laser rangefinder

The older I get the less I enjoy reading instruction manuals. After reading roughly seventy pages of instructions and watching a forty-five minute video I’ve gotten some semblance of how to create personal rifle profiles on the GeoBallistic app, syncing it with my desktop version ( which is easier to use) and then having the Vortex Impact 4000 laser rangefinder automatically pull the profiles from the GeoBallistic app. Phew! I did have to call tech support on some syncing issues, only to mentioned in a polite manner the steps they explained were not in the instruction manual or video.

Hoping not to forget how all this works when at the range, I plan on truing/tuning all my rifle profiles using a Doppler radar chronograph to measure the drop off in velocity from the muzzle to a range as far as practically available, hopefully not less than 100 yards, longer being preferable. Doppler chronographs have the ability to measure velocity at user defined ranges, so users are able to calculate ballistic coefficients for third party applications, however, the Vortex Impact 4000 laser rangefinder can do this internally, cool!

Older enthusiasts should have written notes on this new technology and a large supply of batteries.

PCP Rifle  SOLD FX Impact MK2/M3 .22 cal Slugger (Upgraded to M3 with many 2023 parts)

NO scope, mount, or bipod included! Be advised!

Plenum 720, tungsten hammer, WIKA gauges, M3 side lever, 580cc bottle, Huma high flow regulator, barrel clamp + stiffener, saber tactical reversible block. The liner is a 2023 superior heavy liner (this is my own separate liner that I purchased from FXUSA in 2023, it is not the one that came with the purchase). Has the serial number on it if you want to double check. Also has a carbon fiber sleeve on the liner. Spent more money on changing out valve pin, hammer, power wheel into M3 as well. Has an M3 REAR BLOCK (you can verify by just looking at the serial number)! Comes with a laser sight attached. I’ve got receipts from FXUSA that show all the M3 internals I bought.

I WILL BE INCLUDING A 200 COUNT UNOPENED BOX OF 35 GRAIN NSA .217 SLUGS!!!

Basically is an Impact M3, BUT FOR LESS!

Comes in a FX Impact standard hard case.

PLEASE NOTE!!! THIS RIFLE CAN ONLY SHOOT SLUGS THAT are 27.5 GRAIN OR HEAVIER! THIS IS BECAUSE THE TRANSFER PORT ON THE BARREL KIT HAS BEEN MILLED FOR INCREASED AIR FLOW!!! Also, there is some marring where the laser sight is attached. It’s not visible because the laser sight covers it, but the ability to attach picatinny accessories has not been affected at all (laser sight will be included).

Additionally, the moderator threads on. But a few of the threads on the factory moderator have become a little wonky. Meaning you just have to match the threads, but it requires minimal effort.

I have sold many things here…please deal with confidence.

SOLD!
