Added weight for benchrest shooting.

The new scope is an Athlon Argos 10-40 SFP. I like it but I don't like it when my poi seems to move. Sometimes it is me holding the gun differently but once or twice on a target of 20 shots I have to rezero.
If your POI is changing enough on one target to have to zero again, something isn't quite right. Do you know if your velocity was reasonably consistent during the target string? If you know that your hold was consistent, and that nothing is amiss with the scope, I don't know what else in might be other than a gain or loss of velocity. I would try another scope, just to eliminate it as the issue.

Is it me? Or does it not work?

BINGO!!
YES? found the test plug in the box of parts.
Pressure held which (like you said) pointed away from the pump.
Turn out I needed Teflon on the quick connect/probe fitting.
Thank You 👍👏👏👋
Been there, done that! Glad it worked out, I'm sure thread will help others, as well. WM

Broken hatsan 130QE mine is like it's cocked but will not shoot ever heard of this before?

You have a broken trigger spring. When this tiny spring breaks, the trigger won’t reset. When you cock the gun, the piston does not catch the sear because the sear is not in its proper position. I have had several do this. Remove the trigger unit and you will see one of the loops on the end of the spring has broken off. I just remove the spring and with tiny needle nose pliers and remake a new loop. Easier than trying to get one.
I'll check and see if that's it thanks

Hatsan gas ram repair

This guy is a good start

https://airgunwarriors.com/community/airgun-talk/rebuilding-a-hatsan-vortex-gas-ram/

Just Google rebuild hatsan ram to find his and a couple of others stuff

Seemed a guy around here will rebuild them for you too..

Edit...

See what hatsan parts dept price is for another ram . Was about 45$+/-

You can also get the spring parts to swap to spring and chunk the ram

Another guy
Very good write up. 👍

Centerfire v. Air…

I have been buying for a few years. Buy a sleeve each payday until you have a stock pile
would it not be more savings to save up and buy a full case ? Pyramid on sale buy 3 get one free so you pay for 75 tins and get 25 free and no shipping charge . How much shipping do you pay for a sleeve ? .

Donny FL Emperor Small Bore?

Sumo 25
On challenger pro, shrouded but it's non functional. Worked really well.
TalonP, 22 and 177. No shroud. Worked so good I bought a 177/22 for the TalonP in .177 w/ 18" barrel, shoots 20gn slugs at 900
P12 in 22 with working shroud worked but was expecting more.
Kral Empire XS and Puncher Breaker. Same as the P12

I find it depends on the gun & tune. Some instances it seemed to make the report louder. Sometimes it changed the tone compared to other cans.
Cool, thanks. I already have a DonnyFl Shogun. It’s only slightly quieter than my Huggett Snipe on my FX Crown despite being much bigger. I’ll wait to see how it works on the FX DRS before I upgrade.

Zeroing Pulsar Thermion XQ50 LRF on an Evol

Agreed. I take my micrometer and measure where the spaces are in the mount - front and rear. I mostly adjust just one or the other dependinging on the railing of the gun it's going on. Not real accurate as I have a cheap micrometer that I have to eyeball insted of using the calipers. Then when I switch rifles, I put it on with the angle I measured and then re-zero the scope (which I do anytime I travel due to movement!). Then switch the profile, of course.

Scope movement has always been a PITA to me and it seems the digital which should be easier, add a bit more work to the process.

Scope leveler...

@thomasair so to be sure, you mean in the example above to rotate the scope CCW? as you sit behind the scope which would place the lower vertical reticle on the POI?
Yes...ccw from behind. The reason this method is better is because the distance doesn't matter....it's the amount of holdover or clicks away from zero that matter. Super short distances require a lot of holdover or clicks. Super short distances also have very little wind drift that could mess up your results.

Taipan  I got my thermal with night vision yesterday!

Ive also been wanting the built in ballistics calculator me having 40 years with powder burners the loppy air rifles make it very challenging for me especially 70 yards and beyond pluss night vision and therm hopefully it meets my expectationg and im sure ill be happy with it as long as i dont look through a high end version lol
I've been using the ballistics calculator on the Strelok Pro app and the one built-in to my Sig Sauer rangefinder for the past 5 years so I trust them. Strelok Pro and Sig Sauer matches up perfectly. I compared the one built-in the ThermNight and it also matches with the other two so I have no reservations trusting the numbers. I've been using the same BC for the Hades for all that time.
