Looking to trade my AEA element max 457. My AEA hp max 457. For another big bore pbba extreme big bore wyg can add cash I have regulator that will fit either of the guns or sale wyg
I hope so too, it seems to be a common theme here with the droop the rifles are shipped with. The lock up on the receiver side is pretty much set by the top of the fixed wedge. I'm wondering if someone at the factory is installing that wedge upside down?
A misplaced barrel pivot hole would also cause a shift in lock up position but I'm betting these are computer machined and less likely to be off.
I did get a new 50 sent to me recently and it had minimal droop that would likely go away as the breech seal flattens to size. There's hope they addressed the droop in the new models.

I never thought about the lock up side of it...I only have the one Weihrauch so nothing to compare mine with but those with multiple rifles could compare to see if that could be a factor. The lock up on the receiver side is pretty much set by the top of the fixed wedge. That is one awesome stock on that rifle.
A lot of money for something that has not yet been researched and proven, in the EU the price is around €2K, I'd rather save a little more and buy a Skout Epoch mk2 to enjoy until retirement.
I am looking forward to seeing more of these roll out. Not a fan of the look on 3d printed parts myself but definitely like the look of the mod aside from that!
Good share mate.

It can be hard to tell if a spring is broken. Depending on where a spring breaks you may have slack once the barrel breaks. They usually break a few coils up from the trigger end and that usually leaves enough preload not to get that slack. Another indication is a crunch noise towards the end of the cocking stroke. Broken Weihrauch springs are pretty common when shot regularly. It can be hard to tell if they're broke without a chronograph and records keeping. Typically a rifle will start grouping poorly and have wider extreme spreads in velocity. I've taken apart rifles that were operating relatively well with broken that had no noticeable indication of a broken spring. How do you know if the spring is broke?
My thing is, I've never taken a springer apart and am afraid I'd mess it up to where it wouldn't shoot again.
