HW/Weihrauch  Custom Stocks UK - HW30!!!!

The cocking cycle is so easy there doesn't seem to be a load on the HW30. Not like my HW50, it starts with a load and keeps getting harder.
This is why my 30s see way more use than my 50 or any other rifle for that matter. I like the size of and feel of the 50 a little more than the 30. But it's no fun to cock for hours like I can with my 30s.
I refuse to take the power down on my current 50 so I'm currently looking for a used 177 modern Hw50 to soften up for extended use. I'll probably put peep sights on it as I enjoy plinking more with them.

Daisy 1894 How often to shoot- my collectible

Hello. Have a Daisy 1894 Sears Roebuck Golden Boy that I keep in a case. How often should I take out and put some Pell Oil in barrel.

I see it everyday day and at the point in life 70+, that I think; “ What the hell am I saving it for- shoot the damn thing , and enjoy it!”

Also got an original from 1961 that dad gave me. Got it restored but same deal- in the case- shot it : right!

What say the board?
SHOOT THEM BOTH ! what is the sense of not shooting unless they would be appreciated and shot by a family or best friend . but only if they would shoot them .

HW/Weihrauch  HW30/R7 Custom Stocks

I would remove the cap on a pre safety and make a thin disc to cover the end. Then you have to widen the top of the rear stock/ front trigger guard hole to accept the little welded on bracket the earlier models have. That bracket is not there on newer HW30 because the back block is longer and has the rear stock mounting threads in it. That's the reason for the shorter stroke of the button safety equipt guns.View attachment 536808View attachment 536807
Hmmm. I took a closer look at this…….
The pre safety guns don’t have a longer stroke. They do have more room for a slightly longer spring. THAT’S why JM suggests adding a .400 spacer to a kit for a pre safety R7
The pre safety R7 has a Vortek kit installed. Both actions are cocked. You can’t see where the spring ends in the pre safety. It’s below the trigger guard screw instead of in front of it

UTAH AIRGUNS NOW CHARGING SALES TAX?

Interesting thread...

My $0.02 is that tariffs will be my new TAX. In PA, I have a 6% state sales tax. The increased cost is (maybe) an additional 15% as what I will call a federal sales tax. I realize that the increased price will fluctuate, but it’s a tax which will vary depending on the demand and type of product. I’m not a fan of taxes, but recognize the purpose.

My concern is that the new administration is suggesting creating a new depository for said tariffs. This sounds like a slush fund, not a way to reduce the deficit. I hope I’m not right.

Evanix  Big Bore PCP Pistol (.30) Evanix Viper-X Review

Here is a review of the new Evanix Viper-X in .30 caliber. This compact PCP pistol is accurate and it gets an impressive 20 shot per fill. Fun pistol! Thanks for watching! -Nate

Cool little gun. My full size viper 30 shoots RMR (2nd quality) slugs all the time $0.09 each i believe. With either pellets or slugs I stay on a 4 inch Splatter target at 10 yards.

I don't hear any extra sound coming out of the small hole I put near the breech on my Fortitude shroud. I also used the Mr.Clean buffer that Hajimoto used. It could be that this buffer absorbs the sound. I can put my finger near the hole and feel some air pressure escaping when the gun is shot.
Hello!
Adding a weep hole towards the furthest part of the barrel shroud is not necessary to allow sound to escape as it is to enable gas pressure to escape. When the shroud is sealed on both ends, air fills the cavity and is forced to compress because of the limited free area in the shroud cavity. Once the shroud cavity reaches an equalized pressure, it rejects any additional air. Because the shroud cavity will not allow any additional air in, the air will find the point of least resistance to escape, which typically is back into the projectile's air stream. If you allow the air to travel and displace at the furthest point, you have a controlled release, thus increasing the amount of air that can flow through the barrel shroud.

The Mr Clean Magic Easer (Melamine foam) is simply a diffuser to slightly restrict airflow and to act as a filter medium to grab any lead particles in the air stream.

Shoot safe!

buckchrony

It is an interesting product. It is much more expensive than the really inexpensive ones I use, however, and I wonder how it will affect POI. I like to shoot groups while measuring velocity so I prefer a tripod mount that doesn't touch the gun. But it would be easy to use and you should never shoot it.

I can only talk about the regular NateChrony - some barrels it does affect POI, others not - depends on the barrel. So i'll never make the claim.
There's a few pro bench shooters that use it & just leave it on their barrel 100% of the time with great success - but again, I wont claim that because your results may vary.

Daystate Delta Wolf SMART Video

Hello AGN!

Below is a video on the Daystate Delta Wolf SMART edition.

I have the deltawolf smart. It’s great, but more granular control over the power, say 2.5% would be fantastic. Each button press could be 2.5 and if you hold the button down it could jump in 5 or 10% increments. I’ve discussed this, and most people agree that the simple power adjustment feature is great, but the adjustments are to broad.

I am really happy for you. Good shooting! Those pictures are like eye candy. I got mine recently as well. I have the synthetic version of this. But this ones beats it on looks hands down.
They are both super nice, your synthetic will shoot just as good as the wood stock, hope you enjoy yours, post updated pictures on yours when available so we can see how your doing- enjoy your shooting.
