Who posted this?

Weird lol don't ever remember having a problem with him. I've never blocked anyone. Makes sense though as I havent seen a post from him in forever just assumed he wasn't on the forums anymore lol.
Maybe you didn't clean your boots? Just a thought. I figure it this way, if I'm blocked by someone obviously I don't actually give a flying fig enough to wonder about it, OR I simply have forgotten which is a better bet.

Any 13gr Pellets other than JSB?

FX has a 13.4 gn which, technically, is the same pellet.
View attachment 366458
In my stash of 177's they are the only 13's

NSA has a 12.5gn but then that's another slug :(
Hi Guys,
I shoot the FX 13.4's in my FX Crown MkII with the 500 mm Superior STX liner. I shoot these at 820 fps to stay under 20 fpe for HFT. I find these to be slightly more accurate than the JSB Monster Redesigned. I shot 300 of each after measuring head size and weight, and recorded the muzzle velocity and POI (each shot at a different bullseye). Over 85% of the FX pellets had a head size of 4.54 mm heads with the rest at 4.53 mm. The JSB pellet had mean head sizes of 4.52 with a larger scatter (as much as 4.55 and low as 4.50). Both groups had mean weights very close to the advertised weights with standard deviations of less than 0.1 grains. I think the barrel in my Crown just likes the larger head size as the FX pellets consitently had more x's and hogher scores than the JSN pellets.
Cheers,
greg

Introducing the New FX Dynamic: The Power, Innovation and Performance of the Panthera, but for Hunting!

Just got mine in .22, like it a lot !

My only dislike, if there had to be one... is the Fore-End/Hand Grip, I would like to see a cover section to cover under the Barrel area !

I know this is not something everyone wants but I would like something to add in the open area.

Does anyone know if A Fore-End filler rail is available ?

Thanks

Been thinking about a buddy bottle between 68 an 90 ci

Don’t think the weight difference is significant. That’s just me though.
Got a ninja 68 empty No paintball regs so it ran only 135 to the door from ProEdgePB very reasonable price dont know what I was doing looking at aliexpress for a small bottle, Price wise the the smaller ones cost the same or more on aliexpress, Makes no sense for me to buy the china ones when I can get DOT certified bottle for less, Already bought a m18 valve but whatever Il just buy a 2 liter bottle to pair that for that in the near future as sometimes the 3 L is a bit big for a range day, Guess Il just need to purchase another valve in 5/8-18 unf https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256....0.0.11ad38da72JZxo&mp=1&gatewayAdapt=glo2usa.

H&N Slug HP sample pack test results

Hi,

Just feel I have to write a short report on my sample pack test results. I've been quite happy with the Grizzlys for rat hunting, but had occasionally flyers and not always the consistency I have been looking for. So I decided to test the new HP Slugs to see if they could make any difference.

20230620_220623.jpg

Gun: PCP Benjamin Marauder in .25cal.
Test pellets: H&N HP Slug .249 sample pack 28-36gr assortment
Ordinary comparison pellets: H&N Grizzly .25 32gr
Distance: 32 meters (~35 yards)
Air refill between rounds keeping the pressure at minimum 2k
At the beginning there was some 5-8 m/s wind gusts affecting results, so I didn't put that much emphasis on horizontal deviation.

I started out with a round of 3 shot groups of all the five different sample weights and the Grizzly as the sixt for comparison.
Second round was 5 shots of the three best performed ones from the first round
Third round was 10 shots of the two best from the second round

Results:
1. 3 shot round: HP Slugs of 32, 34 and 36 grains performed best. Grizzlys were not bad either. 28 grains did worst.
2. 5 shot round: HP Slugs of 32 and 34 did do well, the 36 group was opening up somewhat. The 32:s had one flyer
3. 10 shot round: The 34 grain performed remarkably. The 32:s weren't bad, but... and again one flyer

The 34 grain pellets did perform best in all three rounds. So the results in that respect are consistent. What surprised me was how well they performed. I don't think I have ever shot a group of 10 into the same hole - albeit quite a long one. Ok, sure there was a lot of luck, but anyway. Airgun at + 30 meters!!! I'm impressed with what you can achieve with these nowadays.

Brocock Compatto Stock

Curious if anyone out there has ever done a custom or aftermarket stock for the Brocock Compatto? I love the thing - perfect size, length, power, etc., but the black plastic stock just doesn't do it for me.

A search of the web doesn't find anything, and I don't think the standard Compatto was a very hot seller. So, maybe there just aren't any options...

TIA
Tobin

Lost & found: Mammut jacket lost

Hi all who were at RMAC:

Anybody by chance found a black (sort of softshell) jacket from the brand Mammut after the Pro class benchrest finals? I accidentally left it on one of the airgun racks that were behind the benches  If you found it, accidentally took it or know where it can be let me know and we'll work it out how to get it back :)

For the rest it was an awesome event to join! Had a great time there and good to finally get some faces linked to names :)

Traditional Rifle  NLA Beeman .177 CO2 Target Rifle in Thumbhole Stock (AR2078B)

Still available: this is an accurate rifle that is inexpensive to run and a dream to hold. Too much gun, perhaps, for a child or young/small teen (or a sixty-something with autoimmune problems) but a worthwhile buy for indoor precision shooting. Take a second look!

Beeman branded CO2 target rifle in .177 in a beautiful thumb hole stock. Uses two 12 Oz cartridges for a confirmed 65 consistent shots. Has the front inserts and rear hooded peep sight. This is a cock-on-close bolt system that takes some hand strength to use. Beyond my endurance and stability to use now.

Price is $100 firm, seller pays for shipping.

The CO2 loading process is finicky and I've experimented with various O-ring materials at the fill cap. Best I can say is review the advice given by Dr Beeman in years past and be  patient when trying to switch out caplets.

Safety switch is damaged and left in fire position. As the rifle is cock-on-close this is not, in my opinion, an issue requiring correction.

Traditional Rifle  NLA Crosman .177 Optimus, Modified to reduce power to 12 ftlb

Crosman Optimus .177 break barrel. Has been fully taken
20230619_203341.jpg
down, trigger mods comompeted to include longer trigger adjustment screw and ball bearing replacement for the lawyer spring, followed by lubricating of all the internals with moly grease. Main Spring removed, straightened, and clipped by 2.5 coils, then coated with heavy red gear grease to quiet the buzz.

The original butt stock has been shortened by 3/4 of an inch with the rubber butt pad retained. The barrel has been shortened by ~3 inches which, together with the shorter main spring provides a smother, less twangy shot cycle and an output of about 12 ftlbs. The crown was made by me in my first attempt of doing that work and is open to criticism and rework as you see fit. As of now the gun is quarter-size accurate at 20 yards.

Gun is currently wearing a Crosman Venom stock: thicker and more robust than the original stock and features a much better shooter's grip. The original stock comes with the gun if that style appeals to you.

Price is $85 for the gun, two stocks...along with the seller paying all shipping...firm.
