Crushin' Prairie Dogs

@kapok6 thats an unexpected answer but a great way to feed those birds.
Thanks for the explanation.
Keep up the good work.
I was culling the indigenous prairie dog population on the ranch today but the range was 150yds+ using powder burners, the hawks were circling before we left.

I have a .22lr I built that is a ton of fun and accurate but I don't use it for anything I am feeding my hawks. Powder burners have more energy, causing the projectiles to fragment to a far greater extent than air rifles at half the energy. Raptors are highly susceptible to lead poisoning. A few milligrams of lead will kill a hawk, so for me personally, I don't even risk using a powder burner for anything I intend to feed to my hawks. I really look forward to the day where accurate lead free slugs are available.

.25 Caliber Skout Epoch - Hype or the "Real Thing" - My Take

Good stuff! However, I'm still torn between which rifle is uglier. My Daystate AW or the Epoch. lol.
I can't wait to see where this tech takes our hobby in the future.
ugly is in the eye of the beholder. If not, there would be an over abundance of “old maids.” This scout, like many other “black rifles” from other brands, executes the tactical military look extremely well. It is obviously crafted and marketed toward the demanding tuning junkie owner, who loves black tactical-esque rifles. I would love to see a side by side review of the Alpha Wolf and this rifle, saved in this thread.

TX200 trigger

When ever I make trigger adjustments, I always use a scratch pad and make notes if which screw and how much it is turned..After some time is spent twisting and turning multiple screws, it is quite easy to forget and get messed up !! Each adjustment screw has a bearing on the others, so diligence is needed to keep things in order. Before starting...get out the paper and start making notes, just in case you need to backup an adustment. It does help !!!

LCS website odd message

I have had no further correspondence as their is no need. They are slow to respond.
Lcs is awful at best with correspondence. I get a response about once a week if Lucky. The sad part is it's been 3 weeks and I'm still waiting to find out if I can order the parts. Love the guns hate the support if you can call it that. As of right now I wish I hadn't bought one but looks like the western trigger parts are the same so hopefully through western airguns I can obtain the trigger parts I need if I don't get another response this week. Ricockulous(worse than ridiculous).

Father / Son team goes 1 / 2 at 100y BR Pro - RMAC 2023

I was being sarcastic, but competition is competition. I think you will see some pretty big names attend this yr. As I did when I attended, And if you want to talk about a first class shooting facility Cardinal is one of the best. Team CenterCut should attend. I believe the same father son team were there in 2019. Watch Steve’s video from that event.

Starlings got lucky….

Next time ask them " do you feel lucky punk, do ya " then take the long shot . I wouldn't mind some starlings showing up around here.

I chased off a large grey digger aka California ground squirrel off the seed a few days back . Thought for sure he would be back, but some are smart enough to stay away. I let them eat a little seed but only give them 3 chances to leave and that's it.
Am waiting for the woodchuck behind the barn to slip up. It “will not” be getting a pass…💥💀

AEA CHALLENGER ELITE (testing)

I look forward to more feedback on this, especially in 357. I've seen some issues with the 45 needing to be turned down but it seems Noone is really talking about this rifle except the few normal advocates of aea. This would be my first pcp and am ultra reliant on everyone else's input.

Unidentified gun.... Red Panda

I don't know I had talking airguns for a long time, at least I thought I did :D
Nah...that just the Demons in the airguns that addict us. They latch on to our souls..and then implore us to purchase their bretheren...til they are LEGION....and then we buy some more...because....Um I have to go...Avenge X is calling me...all kinds of names for not buying him...so master calls....

Taipan gets a new scope and takes a spatze

I work from home at the farm, and happened to see a pigeon in the driveway about 45 minutes ago. Lunch time!

I grabbed the Taipan, which sits in the corner of my office, went to the upstairs bedroom facing south, knelt and opened the window, oh-so-slowly. The pigeon spooked, last second, and flew off. I rested the Taipan on the window sill to see if the pigeon would come back, or if any spatzes would land in the corn crib or spruce tree out the window.

Two birds startled up in my right peripheral vision and I got a glimpse of black birds with yellow beaks right before they landed in the spruce and did their best impression of a tree branch. I am sure sitting as still as possible in thick evergreen branches is a good survival tactic most of the time, but…

June 18th Concord Ca FT results

Held our monthly FT match in Concord, on a glorious Father's Day. Had a few Father's presents , and everyone attending had a Father, so it seemed appropriate to come together and pull some triggers.
Had a first time shooter come out and borrow a rifle along with the usual suspects, quality people throughout.
Forecast was for strong variable winds and the forecast didn't disappoint it would blow north until it blew south. Enough head winds to depress a pellet or tail winds to lift it a few millimeters. Theo and I had laid out the pre painted targets last nite on carts for deployment, with a mix of big to small for each lane. Kevin got out early today, God bless his heart, and put smalls out where the bigs should be and the bigs seemed to have blown away. With some minor adjustments we played them as they lay, leading to either some satisfying knockdowns or a very low scoring lane for the punter. We had plenty of targets (62) and lots of laughs- thats why we come out, so mission accomplished!

Next month, 3rd Sunday, you're invited and we can make you feel at home in the first 5 minutes. Consider yourself family and come shoot along side of us!
