Scope for leshiy 2 !!

Have had good luck with the vector Veyron 3-12x44. Compact and lightweight.

Here's a Scope Specs Table for SHORT scopes for you to browse.... 😊

• All have 10y side parallax,

• holdoff reticle,

• exposed turrets, and

• at least 3x or lower on the bottom end, and

• at least 9x on the top end.

• Most in the $200-300 range, some higher.

(There are some 3-12x scopes mixed in that are a bit longer.)

The Immersive Optic is nice, but as depicted in the picture you'll be mounting it fairly far back, so your gun doesn't fold up very nicely. Because of that I tend not to use it very much with the Leshiy 2. It's a lovely optic, but not a great match for this gun, if you intend to use the gun for its manufactured purpose.

My Leshiy 2 sees these scopes the most, in this order (most to least):

1) SightMark Wraith Mini -- this is my nighttime pesting setup, which is largely what I purchased the Leshiy 2 for.

2) Dedal stalker

3) Aimpoint ACRO red dot

4) Iron sights.

I'm assuming your Immersive is either a 10x or 14x?

If it happens to be a 5x I believe they are coming out with 80mm eye relief 5x models. There were a couple of videos from the 2022 British Shooting show that contradicted each other but I believe that's what one of them said.

I got to demo a 5x30 and was very impressed with it. But hung too far over the back on a Classic Leshiy for me to purchase.

It's the 14x IO.

A 5x with eye relief would likely be a budget Dedal Stalker. That could be very nice.

Someone sent me a PM asking about the Wraith Mini. Its shortcomings that I notice are:

1) It's heavy: 1.3lb, that's more than twice as heavy as a March 1-8 Shorty.

2) The display is only 1280x720. So you see some granularity. That said, the sensor is 4k so it's a highly oversampled 1280x720, and the quality is very good as you would expect. Recordings are at 4k.

3) Battery life isn't forever. If you get 4 rechargables, you'll be fine.

4) Among my "small qualms" it would be nice if the zeroing feature was a little higher resolution towards the high zoom end. I've submitted a feature request to Sightmark, hopefully we'll see this in a future firmware update.

The "monocular" version of the Mini looks like it could potentially be lighter. It has a built-in IR lamp, as well.

Corby,

I thank you for pointing me to an error in the Burris catalog — and helping me find another two scopes to put onto my Scope Specs Tables! 👍🏼

I have pored over scope catalogs and webpages to unearth all airgun suitable scopes within certain parameters — and Burris has almost never made it onto my Tables, because of their lack of 10y (or15y) minimum parallax (or their preference for capped turrets).

I looked again at their catalogs from 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022 ➔ and none of them has this information, or has the right information....

Same with their archived webpages: As recent as July of last year proclaim the minimum parallax to be 25y for the scope you show — not 10y. And their photo — to this day — shows a capped turret, not an exposed turret as the actual scope you show.

Well, now I know. Thanks!

And I just discovered another error in the Burris publications:

The RT-15 3-15x50 and the RT-25 5-25x56 do not have a 25y minimum parallax, but a 15y parallax. The photo on the Burris webpage contradicts the specs sheet on their webpage, and a reviewer confirms that this must by a typo....

Go figure. Two more scopes for my Specs Tables.

Glad I could help!

I actually called Burris about the contradiction in their specs related to my scope. I bought it based on the 10 yard focus only to get it home and do more reading and it said ~50 yard minimum! I was not happy... I hadn't mounted the scope yet so I called Burris the following Monday to get confirmation of the specs. They did confirm the 10 yd is correct and the literature is incorrect. Once this was confirmed I mounted it and started testing it. I can say that 10 yds is absolutely the minimum for focus but I've been able to pest as close as 10 feet without issue. A fuzzy chipmunk is still a chipmunk! lol

This is my 3rd scope for the "Nail Gun" as I call it. I started with a hand built Burris Signature Series 3x9-50 Mil-Dot that was custom made for my M24 rifle years ago. It's an outstanding scope and was considered a very advanced piece of glass at the time it was made. But it's NOT the right thing for my Leshiy. Second scope is truly awesome on the Leshiy but I didn't care for the BDC reticle the way it was set up... It was best for .22 Long rifle. Vortex Crossfire II 4x12-40 with AO and MOA Reticle. 10 yds to infinity for the objective. Covered turrets that are able to be zeroed. Excellent glass and build quality. It worked perfectly except I wanted more hash marks on the reticle. My newest Burris does it perfectly.
