Accessories for Kral NP03

Hello, im buying a Kral NP0 3 in 177. But I’m fairly new to air guns, and I know very little of PCP’s in general. I’m in the U.S.

So Im trying to figure out what I need to get:

Suppressor: what is a decent supressor I can get, that would fit on Kral NP03? I dont want to buy something and find out i need an adapter to put it on..

Cleaning Supplies: i have a .177 PatchWorm, a bottle of Ballistol, and 100% sillicon oil. Is this all i need?

Scope: i want to get the Bugbuster, as many recommend… but there are different versions, sizes and numbers. Which Bugbuster is recommended? I will shoot 8 yards to 20 yards most times. But take it hiking for further shooting.

Air Supply: this is where im throughly confused. What is recommended if I do not want to break bank. Are Yong Hengs better than other compressors? Why do people always use these? Can i just use a $50 hand pump? The fill probe comes with the gun, but do I need anything else to fill up the gun?

Buttstock / Grip: for ease of transport, are there any folding buttstocks for NP03 like AEA HP SS? Also the grip area looks… kinda weird, are there any mods that just allows a more normal AR style grips?

Thank you in advance. I really appreciate everyone’s willingness to help.

Any 1/2x20 suppressor will do the trick, there’s quite a few threads on here that you can base your pick on.
Your cleaning kit is good to go.
I’d pick a Hawke vantage over the UTG bugbuster. I’ve got/had both and do not like the two bugbusters I’ve had, but some guys love them. If you keep an eye on the classifieds you can get a great scope for a good price.
Yong hengs are great for the money, I got mine on eBay but Amazon has warranty’s that cover the compressor. I think the big selling point is the available parts for repairs.
A $50 handpump will serve you well, I still use mine some to air up the smaller guns, and that’s what most guys start their journey with. Either one of these will get you airing your gun up with no extra gadgets.
You’re pretty much stuck with the stock and the goofy pistol grip. Takes some getting used to but it’s not that big of an issue.

Looks like you’re pretty much ready to go, just need some pellets. All of the JSBs do good in my guns. Crosman premiers do good also and are cheap.

Thank you so much Beau,

Suppressor:
I am trying to use the search on this site, but I can't seem to find the thread dedicated to suppressors, I do see threads on specific guns asking which suppressors. Would this one work well? It is inexpensive:

Scope:
I'm searching through Hawke and Bugbuster both currently. Is "Mil-spec" the preferred choice for shooting rats in backyard as well as shooting outdoors? Also, why do you prefer Hawke over Bugbuster personally?

Thank you!

I’m glad to help, you’re welcome.

I can’t find the suppressor thread I was looking for, this one will give you some models to look up though. Also there’s a moderator section on the forum home page, a lot of good info in there.

That’s a buckrail suppressor and they’re good. If you go up in power much they become less effective and even detrimental in my experience. A stock 177 should be great with that suppressor though. My favorite I’ve tried is a Huggett Snipe.

On the more budget geared scopes the mil spec and fancy turrets are pretty much a gimmick. Any scope that holds zero is going to do great for you. The two bugbusters I had got fuzzy to the point of not being able to use the upper ends of the scopes magnification. They also have a tiny field of view because they’re so small. I’ve had a couple other UTG/leapers scopes and they get the job done, but for about the same price a Hawke vantage gives you twice the scope, they’re not as flashy as the UTG but much more solid in my opinion.

Here’s a link to the classifieds, these are on there right now. Great prices and a great seller.

I had problems with the stock Kral fill probe causing tears in the probe o-rings. I recommend getting an aftermarket probe with quick fill adapter built in to prevent this problem.
Hi Kuroshio, would you have a link to it in Amazon or somewhere in US? I would not know what the aftermarket probe looks like, or a quick fill adapter (why is the adapter needed? doesnt the probe just get attached to a hose?)

Every Kral probe I’ve gotten threaded onto every fill hose I’ve had so you should be able to go that way. There are some different thread pitches depending on where the part comes from, sorry I don’t know them. I use mine with a quick connect (foster fitting) that threads onto the fill probe. I’ve got a half dozen Kral fill probes and have never had an issue with the probes. Only issues I’ve ran into are if you don’t completely empty your fill hose. If there’s still pressure in the line it will shred your o-rings every time.

Where is the best place to buy Kral NP03 fill probes? When I google them, it is mostly UK and shipping/time is not optimal. Would u know if this “generic” one would fit?

I was going to purchase the DonnyFL Sumo for Kral NP03, but DonnyFL got back to me saying that I need to buy a $40 adapter for this.. Why is this? I thought any 1/2x20 suppressor would work..

"Here is the link for adapter for the Kral Puncher/NP-03. Unfortunately Kral made this in such a way that you can't directly thread on a moderator." this is what they wrote me..

Were you guys unable to use DonnyFL moderators without an adapter on Kral NP03?

I believe that probe will work but I don't know why the stock Kral probe was problematic.

I bought the Huma FX probe which is sold at Trenier which resolved my problems.

Sorry, I automatically assumed that you were going to use the gun on multiple PCPs, thus the mention of the quick fill adapter. It is unnecessary if you have just one PCP.

Donnyfl told you wrong. The NP03 has a shroud with a suppressor adapter in the end. It looks just like the adapter they told you to buy. Your gun will come with a fill probe, if you have problems with it message me and I’ll mail you a different fill probe.
