I just switched scopes, rings stayed so just a new scope . both same brand and optically centered. New scope shoots 4 inches left and 5 inches low . Somehow i thought it "might" shoot same poi ........... no such luck
yes rain outside so yes 10 yards , going out now today to check at 40 yards (home range )4 or 5 inches at 100yd isn't a big deal but at 10yds it's big. What distance are you shooting?
Smh. It kinda feels like the less I know, the better.I've been told on more than one occasion that 4-5 inches isn't a lot so I wouldn't worry too much about it.
@beerthief I wouldn’t expect two scopes to shoot similar POIs without adjusting unless they were the exact same make and model scope. Even then I wouldn’t expect all to be indentical. If they’re from the same manufacturer (brand), but different models then it’s possible that certain internal components may differ or perhaps the tube length, adjustment intervals, etc. differ. Hard to say, but interesting to think about. It does seem like an idealistic expectation. As long as they both can be zeroed and hold zero then I’d say you’re in good shape.I just switched scopes, rings stayed so just a new scope . both same brand and optically centered.
