Vulcan 3 - Heavy hammer spring?

Yes. Tony at Talon Tunes has the V1 hammer spring which is longer. Do not cut it, just compress it with the adjuster until you get the threads started. Take that little grub screw out that locks the adjuster in place. Hold it behind your head and then throw it as far as you can. Put a dab of Permatex Ultra Black RTV on the hammer spring adjuster threads to keep it in place and still be easily adjustable. Start with the adjuster out as far as possible to still get the stock on. If you want, lower the rubber butt pad and drill a hole in line with the adjuster so it can be adjusted without removing the stock. I drilled mine and then drilled the rubber pad also so the 5mm allen wrench just fits. Keep the RTV in the freezer after opening to keep it from setting up in the top of the tube.

From where the adjuster just fits into the stock it's 4 1/4 turns in to maximum tension.

I milled my poppet spring adjuster for better airflow. Back it out a little for more power. You can use the RTV on it also to keep it's adjustment.

This Vulcan 3 upgrade set from AAO has 2 heavier springs as well as a bunch of other goodies. Highly recommended kit.
