Here are three 1-shot kills that I took on 3 greys at the beginning of squirrel season and I always shoot take the shot between the eye and the ear. Sometimes, the shot hits low below the ear breaking their neck, clipping the spine and exiting the other side. I don't have a problem with head shot, sometimes they don't seem as though they're going to die but they do

pretty nice shootin .. around my place its rare i have the time to get that precise when im after blood because ones bothering my hens or chewing something up .. i usually wait for a shot that gives me a nice range of error vertically from the head down the neck into the chest .. 9.9 times out of 10 its a done deal one shot in realistic 'engagement' ranges .. long shots like 50+ are no problem if i set up on them .. not often i feel good about that kind ofthing though, i like getting them in the act lol ... i keep a small population of squirrels going, i kinda like them in the yard, under 5 regulars though more or less .. more than that they get destructive seems like ..

I love catching them in the act and I only take them out when my fruit trees are baring fruit during season. They are very destructive to ones fruit trees and don't stop until everything is gone but there's always a but.

Thanks Ranchibi, I've always been a fan of Daystates and one of these days, I'll have to show you the first one that I bought back in the late 80s, it's only charged to "2000-psi".

Would luv to see you post photos of that ole venerable gal! I had a Regal XL in .22...only reason I sold it was to purchase a RAW. The Regal is so much more nimble and light compared to a RAW....hope to get a Revere some day.....miss my Regal!

@Ranchibi; This picture doesn't do this Daystate Huntsman (an ole picture) any good but I'll have to take a better picture of this ole-odd work of art at another day. I'm a little tied up for the moment but I'll have to share with you later! The trigger is just a piece of sheet medal that can't be adjusted, this one is just different but it was a winner.

Thank you for taking the time to share this! It's BEAUTIFUL! The stock is otherworldly! I know she shoots as good as she looks! These Daystates sure stand the test of time, wonderful PCP's!

@Ranchibi; Thanks again, one of these days I'll take the action out of its stock and everyone going to say, "what the" because based on today's specs, it's different and very basic.

Daystate, AA and HW along with FX's earlier models set the bar for craftsmanship in the airgun world in my estimation!

Please forgive me for not responding to your post earlier this week, blame it on "senior moments & family issues". My belated friend and I Frank Wise built that stock from a walnut blank over 30years ago turning it into a field target rig. It turned out a be a "true winner" shooting CP 7.9 grain pellets at 880 fps for about 25 shots. It only charges to 2000 psi and I came in 3rd place in Greenwood SC (Field Target Match) in 1991 against Rodney Boyce and Roy Pilze (sp) from Florida. I don't shoot it anymore because if the obvious but I'll have to dig it out to see how it like JSBs
