Slug mags for Taipan

I had a fella make me some blank 3D printed magazines for my Taipan Veteran without the oring grooves so I could make the grooves where I wanted them. A few minutes hacking around in the shop and I have this:

Seems to work great so far. Might try and get some softer durometer rings just for easier loading, but they work fine as is.

The only rub is that when loading the slugs in the mag, they don't pop past the rear oring. So you load the mag, and then give it a smack onto your palm, and the slugs "jump" past the rear oring and are then captured. Easy enough.

Hows about that?

as a side note ... softer the o-ring, more it will ROLL as probe slides by while also being more prone to dislodge getting torn up.
A harder ring with minimal depth within the loading hole should prove much more durable & easy loading .. IMO
I agree, I whipped this one up with some orings I had on hand already (no reason at all for them to be silicone, or any idea why I had them lol)

I have a couple more to hack on. I'll see what I can do different with those. But honestly this one does fine it seems.

If your after a totally CAPTIVE mag that can be handled roughly, then 2 rings it has to be ... just suggest what stated in post #4 as too o-ring material etc ..
Captive is what I'm after.

A magazine is pretty useless (at least to me) if you can't put in your pocket, walk around and whip it out and toss it in the gun.

From a few years ago .... 4 mag custom holder

In todays age of 3D printing, someone should make something similar perhaps ?
