Recently, I purchased a used .25 FX Dreamline Classic from AGN member Sqwirlfugger57. Jon was terrific to deal with in every regard.
Until now, I have avoided the "highly adjustable and versatile" Impacts, as a few years ago I worked on one of the earlier ones for one of my other airgun friends, and just found it to have too many places to leak and too many adjustments to deal with.
However, after acquiring this year a Royale and Wildcat, I thought it was time to put an adjustable FX in my collection, and when this Dreamline came along at a fair price, I decided to give it a try.
The first issue that I encountered, was even with Sports Match high mounts, I couldn't get enough elevation to the bottom of the Hawke Sidewinder scope for the large magazine to clear. Utah Airguns solved that, sending FX No Limit mounts. Even they only cleared by a fraction of an inch. The second issue encountered was that the first magazine I tried kept wanting to rotate out between shots. As a second mag came with the gun, I compared the two mags closely to learn that the small rubber o-ring that provides the friction to hold the mag in place was missing from one mag. I used two pieces of blue stape to create the friction, and at least for now, that problem is resolved.
Now for the rifle's features and attributes. Understanding that I have a number of rifles to compare to, this is probably the lightest pcp in my collection, especially in a traditional rifle. It would be a pleasure to carry around all day. I have a number of high end rifles with very smooth actions, none of them are as smooth as this action to operate. Jon said he had meticulously set this rifle up to shoot the 33.95 Gr King Heavy pellets. I didn't mess with any of the settings and took his word for it. The results can be found below.
I would not hesitate to recommend this rifle series to anyone.
