FX Dreamline Saber or Aeron CZ

I'm considering purchasing either the FX Dreamline Saber or Aeron CZ. I shoot left-handed and would like to know if the grips and/or cheek pads are ambidextrous. It looks like the Saber may be ambidextrous but I can't find a clear enough picture of the Aeron CZ to know for sure. Also, can anyone give a comparison between the Aeron CZ hunter and field target?

I have the Aeron hunter target stock. The check piece is sort of ambi I mean it works fine but the LH grip you need to order from sure shot in the UK. Great stock I use it on my Dreamline and Streamline. I'm sure the saberT is very nice but I preferred the Aeron.PM me if you want more details. I got mine from Utah Air.

You can get custom grip sets left or right from Tilly's Gun stocks in the UK getting LH grips in this country is very hard UA doesn't have any. Yes they are very well made and yes you can use the hunter stock for target shooting but the FT stock may be better suited to you for that. Yes you can add other Aeron or third party accessories to the stock.

I used to have Aeron and Saber
now I have Air Jet and I am really happy with this stock
however, I think Air Jet is not dedicated for left-handed shooters. As I remeber Aeron can be produced in left-handed version. To be sure you would have to ask the company. I suppose the saber can be used by left-handed shooter. My friend is left- handed shooter and he is quite happy with saber tactical stock on fx dreamline

zbi_air, off topic, but can you tell me the maker of that picatinny rail on the dreamline? Thx

The scope riser on the silver chassis rifle is an optional accessory from Scandinavian Arms.
Its a beautiful chassis… but I looked into purchasing. When you add the scope riser and front piece, that chassis costs more than the Dreamline itself.

Also, the maker seems to be a one product company - that Dreamline chassis is the only product that I found on their website - interesting.

I see people are still commenting on this so I'll add some opinions. I have now owned both the Dreamline Aeron Target and Saber Tactical chassis.

Aeron - I think it is best suited for a right handed person converting a Dreamline Classic. I found it nearly impossible to locate a left hand grip without a tremendous wait. A couple of other items I want to note is I don't think the power wheel and flip safety options will fit. The Aeron I had included the hamster and weights which are nice to have. While it doesn't adjust as easily as the ST, it still allows plenty of adjustment for a custom fit. The angle adjustment may even exceed what you can get with the ST. Fit and finish were very good.

Saber Tactical - This is the one I stuck with. I don't use the folding stock option, but it's there for someone wanting to make a rifle more compact for transport, etc. It has a lot of easy adjustment, but I pretty much set mine and leave it alone. I did change the length of pull the other day when I had an excess amount of clothes on. It's since been returned to my original setting. It's pretty much ambidextrous. I was able to reverse a couple of attachments on mine to get them away from my face. I added the FX Dreamline tactical kit which includes the raised picatinny rail, power wheel adjuster and flip safety. It all fit well. I like the fact that many AR grips and accessories can be added if wanted, although I left the original FX grip on mine. A bipod was easy to add and remove using a quick disconnect. Fit and finish are pretty good but I did contact Saber Tactical with a couple of items they might want to address. The locking screws on the stock are two different lengths. I suggested they use the shorter length at all locations to prevent contact when shooting left handed. There are a couple of sharp points at the rear of the forearm that need smoothed out too. I still have to avoid catching a hand or other object on them.

Owning either the Aeron or Saber Tactical chassis is a matter of taste and specific use. They both seem to be well made and nice looking options.
(That Jet chassis that was mentioned is also a very fine looking piece of kit, especially with the forward upper wrap around. Just a little pricey.)

It could be possible to manage it cheaper. question mark - cost of delivery to US
